"This is a lovely cottage, well situated to explore the island, just off the road from Menia to Pentraeth."
Some great beaches nearby, with Beaumaris and Menai also a short drive away. Nowhere is very far on Anglesey!
The Cottage is tucked away down a short lane, with lovely views of Snowdonia and next to fields with cattle and wild rabbits. The cottage has its own lawn / paddock, which is great for exercising dogs and kids and a lovely, fenced-in patio and its own parking.
Inside is a very spacious, well-equipped kitchen-diner with large lounge (includes Netflix!) and internet. There is a downstairs toilet & bath and a twin bedroom. Upstairs is a double room (double bed) with En-suite and a larger double bedroom (also a double bed) with an extra single bed - so sleeps 6-7 in total if necessary, in 3 bedrooms. It is all very clean and cosy with some lovely views. On clear days, Snowdonia looks very close.
There are various pubs, trestaurants and take-aways nearby, a good number of them "dog-friendly" also. The owner is very friendly and helpful, a phone call away if needed, but otherwise will give you all the space you need.
Honestly, this was 10/10. Highlty recommended for a family break.

"Great clean accommodation."
Spacious so you are not on top of each other. Plenty of room outside for children to play. The children especially enjoyed seeing the horses and cows and visited them daily.

The owners were lovely and very helpful at all times. We would definitely book this cottage again in the future. ait is also in a great location and you can visit anywhere on the island within 30 mins max and is also 10 mins away from Benlech and its lovely beach.

"Beds uncomfortable."
The property, location and owners were lovely but I feel I have to mention the beds - they are so uncomfortable. The mattresses seem so thin and lacking in springs, they are cheap and this lets the comfort factor of the property down. We managed to sleep using a double bed and a single divan bed but it wasn't ideal as the trip was part of our honeymoon! I would really like to go back to stay at this property but could only consider it if the beds (or mattresses) were changed. Sorry, I wasn't going to say anything but then if we don't tell you you don't know what's wrong to make it right?

"The cottage is lovely, easy to find and a fantastic base."
It is next to the owners cottage but you hardly see them. We had everything we needed, pots, pans and utensils. Another shower in the downstairs bathroom would be appreciated as 7 people waiting for a shower takes some organising. Having said that we would definitely come back again the location is gorgeous.

"Highly recommended."
The cottage was beautiful, spacious, clean and ideally situated to explore Anglesey. The beds were comfy with good quality bedding, the facilities in the cottage were really good, there wasn't anything that we needed that wasn't provided. It was lovely and quiet and the dogs loved having a large lawned garden to explore. It boasts beautiful views and is surrounded by fields which have horses and cows. The owners were friendly and welcoming on arrival and let us know where to find them if we needed to. The beach was really close by and has the added bonus of free parking, literally on the beach. The pub and shop are again really close by. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the cottage and would definitely book again.

"This is not just a holiday cottage it is actually a home from home."
Everything was perfect with guest controlled central heating and a electric fire for colder days. The garden is lovely and perfect for the dogs and our young grandson had fun on the trampoline and loved the cows and horses in the fields. Owners live on site but we never saw them. There was also free Netflix which was useful after supper. Perfect place.

"Ideal location just over Brittania Bridge allows good access to places to visit on island."
Cottage location quiet and peaceful. We'll appointed with lots of room but silly little things frustrating, such as can opener useless and oven extractor fan button broken.
Shame there's no shower in downstairs bathroom.
After a cold and wet walk the heating warms the rooms quickly.

"The farmhouse has 3 really good sized bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen."
Good sized garden & private decked area. Great peaceful location, you definitely need a good torch at night for walking your dogs up the lane. The owner came and introduced himself soon after we arrived to make sure everything was ok & told us if we needed anything where we could find him.
Had a lovely realxing stay with our 2 dogs and inlaws will definitely return in the future.

"We had a lovely time at the cottage and especially enjoyed the horses and cows being so close in the adjacent fields."
The garden was huge and the owners very approachable and helpful. Ona slight downside we did find the beds uncomfortable and the cottage is a bit creaky generally. Its also not the best equipped kitchen, a chopping board and a dish cloth would’ve been very helpful. Nevertheless we would definitely make a return here.

"We really enjoyed staying in this cottage."
It was very clean, spacious and worked really well for 3 generations ranging in age from 5 months to 81years plus Merlot, our 2 year old Flat Coated Retriever. The bedrooms were exceptionally large and it was good to have an en suite bathroom, plus downstairs family bathroom.
There is easy access from Farmhouse Cottage to everywhere on Anglesey and there are a range of supermarkets within an easy distance. To quote my 'townie' son "I wasn't expecting it to feel so rural but have everything so close. I could live here".
WiFi would have been useful as although mobile phone reception was available, it was intermittent. Having said that, it did us good to have a virtually technology free holiday!
It was our first visit to Anglesey and we loved it so much! We will definitely be back!

"We liked the fact that it was quiet and peaceful and in a good location, it was comfortable enough, but it would have benefitted from having another shower in the bathroom, which is more than big enough, because only having it available in the ensuite meant that you were waiting for people to get up and then queueing for the shower, I find getting in and out of a bath difficult so that was not an option!"
The other downsides were the tv - we found it very difficult to get it going at the start and the screen was far too small, it was more like a bedroom tv, and because there was no wi-fi it was a bit of a let down that the tv wasn't very good either! A hand book for the cottage would have been useful as it was only after we had been there for a few days that we found some papers stuck beside the microwave that told us where to put the rubbish- too late in our case as I think I may have used the wrong bin! We also had difficulty in locating the cottage initially as the entrance is signposted as Blackhorse cottages, yet nowhere on the directions does it mention that! Some information on what there is to do locally would have also been nice.

. There is a lovely safe deck which is a suntrap and ideal for small child to play on with her best friends, the dogs. The table and chairs on the deck overlook a lovely stretch of garden with a beautiful view over to mainland mountains.
The owners are extremely friendly and helpful without being intrusive and the area is peacefully quiet just off the main tourist roads. It has easy access by car and is 10 minutes to Red Wharf and Benllech Bays and to Beaumaris. We would not hesitate to recommend this comfortable and spacious cottage and will certainly be booking a stay there again.

"This was a lovely farmhouse cottage."
Warm and snug to come home to each evening.
It was immaculate on arrival and the owners came to check we were happy with everything soon after we got there.
One evening we had a problem with the heating and the owner arrived and sorted it within 10 minutes of our call. Fantastic.
The dogs loved it, a local quiet road to walk the dogs in the evening/ early morning but the main walks were around the coastal paths and on the many beaches.
I would be happy to recommend this holiday to others seeking a quiet, relaxing break.
