  • "Enjoyed our stay at Crantock Lodge, well equipped, clean and homely bungalow, will definitely book again."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crantock Lodge."

The house is very comfortable. The kitchen is of a lovely quality and well stocked with equipment. The garden was safe for our dogs. Walks to the beach, walks over the headland etc were fabulous. Crantock beach is one of the best but there are plenty of other beaches close by. We loved it all. We did have to move the sofa away though and at an angle as we kept tripping over the hearth.

  • "Perfect base for our holidays."

Crantock Lodge is lovely - lovely inside and well equipped. perfect location just 10 mins walk to the beach. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are quite small, not a lot of room around the beds but was fine for our stay. Cant fault the place though and would definitely return

  • "Just had a wonderful holiday with my family for my birthday in crantock lodge."

Beautiful and homely from the moment you walk through the door. So clean and lovely decor all through the lodge. Fully equipped kitchen also. There was a vase of lillies on the kitchen table that were lovely and welcoming and smelled amazing all through the house. We brought our 2 dogs so the back garden was nice and very safe for them. The whole lodge has a beautiful vibe. The local shop Pubs and beach are a stone throw away. I didn't want to come home when our break was finished. Just perfect.

Am so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and hope to welcome you again Property Owner

  • "Overall a lovely bungalow, in a fab location close to the local shop, 2 pubs and beach."

Upon arrival we immediately noticed that the property's sofa was different to the one advertised. The sofa had a very low back and was not very comfortable. The lounge would benefit from two big sofas and a chair, the space can certainly take it. If there were 6 people the party the lounge would not sit 6 people comfortably. Couple of issues in the kitchen, the dishwasher door kept falling down (wouldn't stay ajar) and with it taking the plinth with it. A little bit of maintence needed. The kitchen really could of done with a tumble dryer as there is limited space to put a clothes airer. A couple of the windows were very difficult to open. Both beds 2/3 we very small with no wardrobes, just a couple of hooks. All in all a good property that just needs a little bit of maintenance. Would just say it would suit a family with children, rather than like our party 2 couples and a child.

  • "A lovely house in a lovely location, very well equipped kitchen everything you can possibly need."

Lovely private patio area. Great communication with the property manager who sorted out a permit to park our third car in the village hall car park across the road. Would highly recommend it, perfect spot to base yourself to explore the delights of Cornwall, only a 15 minute walk to the beach. Would definitely stay at Crantock Lodge again.

  • "A very welcoming and cosy cottage, everything about Crantock Lodge is great."

Great location and a great base should you wish to discover stunning Cornwall. Very well finished cottage with everything you should need. Crantock as a village is beautiful, with a local shop which sells amazing pasties and more, two great welcoming pubs in the Cornishman and Albion spending a week there you almost feel a local and definitely don’t want to go home.

  • "We loved Crantock Lodge, it was great space & really well equipped for 4 of us + dog."

Lounge, bedroom & en-suite were as good as we've seen. Would definitely recommend. However some attention needed to kitchen floor & if advertised as "dog friendly" with a surcharge we expected dog access to whole house, not restricted to living areas (or this should be explained on the booking information). To be picky, half of the TV channels were pixelated & I couldn't work out how to re-tune & pillows were too firm for some of us. Those little niggles didn't stop us from really enjoying it overall.

  • "Genuinely the best property we have stayed in during a UK holiday."

It’s perfectly located near to the beach & local shop & is set in a lovely little village. The kitchen had quality range of cookware & utensils along with lovely touches such as coffee, milk etc for our arrival. The house was immaculately clean & very cosy. Any pre-questions I had before arriving were quickly answered. Would definitely recommend & will be coming back!

  • "Crantock Cottage is by far the best place we have stayed at in Cornwall."

It is comfortable, relaxing, very well equipped and finished to a very high standard. We particularly liked the decor in the master suite. Our sons - aged 14 and 22 - loved having double beds to themselves! The outdoor area is just perfect for outdoor dining, being large, private and conveniently located. Our only difficulty was with lack of places close at hand for a quick dog walk without getting into the car, and a lack of pavements in Crantock - both of which were issues for our nervous dogs - but that is not the fault of the cottage itself. We had an issue with the electric hob on our first morning but this was resolved quickly by our being sent a temporary plug-in hob. I believe the owner has a permanent solution in hand. Cranrock itself is exceptionally beautiful, and although busy in high season, it's worlds away from the chaos of nearby Newquay. Dining can be a bit of a problem, so where possible it's advisable to book restaurants well in advance, or turn up early for the Jam Jar pizza restaurant. Make sure you get food in as as back up! Overall, we had a fantastic stay, and we would love to think we will visit again one day.

  • "The house is very well equipped in the kitchen, however a dryer would have been appreciated as we had a few wet days and it was hard to get things dry."

The sofas were a little on the small side as the house can accommodate 6 people.

  • "We had a brilliant stay in this amazing cottage."

It was beautiful, clean and we had so much room. We all said we could live there! Fantastic location and the most fully equipped kitchen we've ever had on holiday. We even tried to book the same week for next year but it was already booked and we can understand why. Will definitely come back here when we can though!
