  • "Amazing place to stay."

Close to the pub and swimming pool. The cleanliness was amazing and all the little touches were lovely. The whole property was so good and there was nothing more you could need. Had email before hand with information about the property and local area which was brilliantly informative. Would highly recommend.

Thank you for the great feedback and review Darren, we are so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and we hope to welcome you and your family again in the future. Best wishes, Sian & Des Property Owner

There is a large balcony on the first floor to sit out on, which is largely screened by trees, so it felt private. I would certainly stay there again.

  • "We could not fault 17 Valley Lodges."

We stay in a lot of holiday homes & the owners of this one had thought of absolute everything!! It was immaculately clean & beautifully presented. The location is ideal especially for families, a 1 minute walk to the indoor pool & even less to the outdoor pool. The pub, recreation & games room again is all just a minute away. We used the football area & tennis courts - the lodge even provided tennis rackets & balls. This was not a negative for us but if you had mobility issues the site is pretty hilly & you cannot park directly outside the lodge. You are just a 30 second walk to your car on a footpath but just worth a mention. We would highly recommend it here. We have 2 boys of 6 & 8 & it was brilliant that the pool depth was a maximum of 1.1m depth. It just gave the younger one real freedom in the pool. It’s a brilliant family holiday we loved it. Thanks so much!!!

As soon as we walked in we were happy very nicely decorated and very comfortable and very clean. We went upstairs and there was a welcome basket on the table with snacks in the kitchen there was tea bags coffee and sugar there was milk in the fridge and a bottle of wine. The outside space was amazing on the upstairs balcony is a large table where we ate our dinner overlooking the pond it was just bliss i will recommend this lodge to anyone you wont be disappointed it really is a home from home.A big thank you to the owners for a lovely stay.

Dear Stuart, Thank you for the review of 17 Valley Lodges. We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay and were able to enjoy dinners outside. Site was fine too - quiet at night, indoor pool was well kept and outdoor pool looked great although we didn't go in it. Games room a good place for older kids.

  • "Excellent property in line with the Sykes recommendation."

Very comfortable and the treats were a nice touch and very welcome. The only slight negative was that the fan in the ensuite bedroom came on in the night without any warning but this was the only suggestion we could make. Many thanks for a great place to stay

Felt like living in a tree house with the living area and balcony upstairs! Much appreciated welcome pack on arrival. Close enough to the pool and other facilities for an easy walk. Really nice place to chill out and well positioned to explore Cornwall and Devon.

  • "Home was comfortable and beautifully decorated."

The grout in both bathrooms needed deep cleaning and the inside of the fridge was stained. The deck is beautiful but covered in cobwebs and leaves. The outdoor furniture wasn’t comfortable. The description of the bed said “super king size” but it was only a double.

Dear Liz, thank you for your review. The lodge is professionally cleaned before every changeover and had received a deep clean 4 days before your stay, with a review 2 days before and a further inspection the day before your arrival. You can be assured that all cobwebs and leaves are removed during every clean, and were additionally also swept away the day before you arrived, but as the lodge resides in a woodland and with a beautiful oak tree beside it, a few leaves can fall overnight. There are cushions provided for the outdoor furniture mentioned in your welcome email and the welcome guest information in the lodge, we hope you were able to avail of them during your stay? Thank you pointing out the error on the Sykes listing, it is actually a king size bed not a super king. We have noted your comments regarding the fridge and silicone and these are being attended to. Finally, per the text you sent me, we are so delighted you had a lovely family stay. and enjoyed the break. Warmest regards Sian & Des Property Owner

  • "We had a very nice staycation here."

The place was lovely and looked clean and tidy, and had some welcoming additions when we arrived. It was very much like home from home. All the beds were very clean with fresh bedding, our only issue was the double mattress was a bit too firm for our liking but that is down to individual preference ( its not a complaint). My daughter and son said their mattress was perfect

Thank you for your positive feedback Lisa. We can look at offering a softer mattress topper for the double mattress. Glad you had a good stay. All best wishes, Sian & Des Property Owner
