  • "Beautiful location."

Perfectly clean and very comfortable cottage. Parking, although a bit tight was an added bonus for which we were very grateful. Highly recommended for the views and location.

  • "Lovely property, spotless and perfect location Nice touch by owner leaving a bottle of wine, milk and biscuits as a welcome - very thoughtful."

We would like to have used the outside garden space but not very inviting. Just a few nice plants/tidy up/coat of paint on the walls etc is all it needs to make a perfect holiday home.

Wine, milk and biscuits a lovey touch and much appreciated after our seven hour journey from Shropshire! The only downside was that parking was a little tight! but we did not need to use the car all week as the bus service to all surrounding areas from Marazion was brilliant. Would recommend

We loved Ner Sea cottage, it was very clean, well equipped, quirky and comfortable with excellent views of the Mount. Its location is ideal for the town and sightseeing.

  • "The cottage is situated in beautiful Marazion and is within easy reach of all the places we wished to explore."

The views from the bedroom, overlooking St Michaels Mount are particularly lovely. The cottage itself was perfect for us, it was tastefully furnished, warm and comfortable and a high standard of cleanliness was apparent. Everything you may need for a self catering holiday was provided for and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine, biscuit treats, tea, coffee and sugar and fresh milk. The WiFi was great. There was an instruction booklet for all appliances which was useful. Jenny the housekeeper lives a few doors away, she is very friendly and gave us some great tips on places to visit. We would have loved to have lit the wood burner to enjoy that romantic feel to the cottage on our evenings in but the nights were just too warm. Whilst the inside of the cottage was lovely, it is fair to say that the 4 levels to the garden area need some attention in order for couples to really enjoy the experience of sitting out during the good weather if they so wish. The car parking space to the rear of the property is narrow, but it is not the size of the space that gave us a problem but the poor quality and unevenness of it, with a low down car this became quite stressful in trying to get into the road without scraping the car valance. There is no alternative parking anywhere in Marazion.

Park the car and use the bus from outside front door. Large property with all comforts....had fab time and nothing negative to say.

  • "Lovely accommodation which is well situated to visit Marazion and surrounding areas."

Outside area would benefit from some attention to make it a more pleasant area to relax in. A few minor improvements in the accommodation such as better lighting over the dining area and a more efficient shower would make the accommodation outstanding. A more comfortable settee and mattress would also help. The accommodation is beautifully decorated mixing some old fashioned charm with modern accessories. It is a lovely place to stay; you never tire of the spectacular view of St Michael's mount and even the local pub is only a couple of minutes walk away. It is a place we plan to visit again.

  • "This cottage is small and quirky."

Romantic and cozy. Ideally placed and has parking (a rarity in small Cornish villages and towns). It was clean and in good order with lovely bed linen and accessories Everything you need in a cottage with local services nearby (shops, pubs, restaurants) and a view of St Michael’s Mount. Lots of great places to visit in the surrounding area too. Jenny the housekeeper was very friendly and John the owner contacted us personally to ensure we had a good stay COVID-19 additional measures made us feel very secure there

A 5 minute walk from the middle of the village, with views across the bay to St Michael's Mount. Would definitely recommend.

  • "Perfectly placed to enjoy Marazion."

The main shops are about 6 min walk down the hill, 10mins to the bottom where the beach is. The hill is not too steep. Marazion is one of the nicest places on the southern cost, there’s plenty of places to visit nearby. The cottage is lovely and has all the things you need (except a butter dish?). We took our fire stick and The WiFi was strong enough for us to stream Netflix so if the wether isn’t kind you can relax in the cottage. The fire engine pub opposite is fab. We will visit Marazion again and if it’s just the 2 of us we will be at Ner Sea

  • "Only draw back was the very narrow car parking space, mistakenly advertised an large."

It would not be suitable for anything over a medium sized car. That said everything else was very good and our queries were met with politeness and prompt action.

Both John and Jenny are lovely, friendly people and gave us helpful information of our surroundings. The cottage was beautiful and absolutely everything was thought of. I would 100% recommended this cottage and will definitely be booking again in the future. Thanks to both John and Jenny for making us feel so welcome.

  • "Enjoyed every minute, it was instant relaxation as we entered the door."

Parking was a bit tight though. I understand why the neighbouring property has put a post to divide his parking space but it makes it difficult to park due to post not being visible in mirrors. Ner Sea parking space is very narrow. The Sykes website describes it as a large drive. Nothing detracted from the pleasure of our stay

Everything you could possibly need has been thought of and is provided for you to use. We had an amazing week and will 100% return next year. So glad we stumbled across this cottage when our original booking for a property in Penzance was cancelled due to water damage. Cannot praise the owners enough, it’s a beautiful place to stay. Thank you x

  • "Poor welcome pack."

Only six tea bags and one toilet roll which we thought was poor. Parking space was extremely narrow and quite difficult to judge. In the dark, it would be almost impossible. Having that said, these wouldn’t put us off staying at Ner Sea again. We’d arrive with more tea bags and more toilet rolls and we’d be better practised at getting into the parking space! Light and airy cottage, plenty of wardrobe space, great facilities which all help to make it more homely. This cottage also has a great position, excellent views and quiet at night. Would go again.

  • "We had a wonderful holiday at Ner Sea Cottage."

It had everything we could want and more. It was just like being home from home but in a more beautiful location. We arrived worn out and weary and came home refreshed and ready to start again. What more cold we have possibly asked for. The welcome and helpfulness of the owner and the lovely lady who cleans was second to none. Just first class but in no way intrusive. I thinkI you can gather, we loved every minute. Josephine and Ken Howkins.

  • "Ner Sea is a lovely comfortable, and thoughtfully planned cottage."

It has a sea view, which we absolutely loved, and to be honest weren't expecting, so it was a wonderful surprise. We were so impressed with the view, we decided to go and buy some binoculars, and believe it or not, we found a suitable pair in the Charity Shop in Marazion. The wood burner was one of the main reasons that we decided on this cottage, together with the fact that logs are supplied in the rent. We were not disappointed. The log store was very well stocked, which came in very handy, as the weather was pretty dreadful for the 2 weeks we were there. Fog, hale, snow, sleet, rain and wind were all experienced in the fortnight that we were in Cornwall. However, this charming cosy cottage, meant that on days that were too awful to venture very far, we could spend a wonderful time indoors, just "chilling". Jenny, the housekeeper is wonderful, and looked after us very well. It is great having her so nearby, in the case of problems. Not that we experienced any during our stay. The small electric heaters supplied, were also a lovely touch, as it helped warm the bedroom/landing up nicely. The position of this cottage is truly wonderful, and everything is easily accessible by car. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this cottage for a lovely romantic break. It is quiet, well appointed, and the bed is very comfortable. We look forward to returning as soon as we can.

  • "Ner Sea was cosy, comfortable and modern."

The woodburner was a delight to have. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom bright and pretty and the living area very cosy. The housekeeper Jenny is a real dear and it was such a pleasure to meet her. She made me feel so welcome. The only issues I had were the relatively dark area at the table which could do with a light from above. And the traffic noise did not bother me too much but my wife, who is more sensible with that, was affected by it. Still, I can recommend it a lot.
