  • "Cottage was lovely and owners were very helpful and the guide they sent was very insightful."

Had one issue with high chair which was sorted the next day. The cottage was Spectacular. Only gripe was Sykes really not sure I would use again as customer service was appalling at times would book this property again through booking.com

Thank you so much for your lovely review and we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Thanks for choosing Camelot. We are sorry to hear your experience with Sykes was not ideal and we would suggest that you complain directly detailing as much of your issues as possible in order that they may look into it for you. We look forward to welcoming you again soon. Property Owner

Everything you could possibly need was provided in the bungalow and it was spotlessly clean . Would definitely return but not at such an expensive time of year ( when grandchildren have left school ). Games room was a definite plus with them. Thankyou for all the information you provided as well it proved very helpful.

  • "Lovely property, great location just a short 5 minute walk to the main town."

Only down side the BBQ was very dirty and the pool table had missing balls and the darts were unusable which was a shame for the price.

Thank you for your valued feedback. We are so sorry that didn't contact us during your stay regarding the pool balls and darts and this is the first knowledge we have of the issue. The turnaround confirmed there were a full set of balls and all were present for the next guests to use. Sometimes they do get stuck in the channel so perhaps this may have been the issue? As for the darts unfortunately we do not try them out every time during turnarounds and guests do not look after them well. However, we always have a spare set available so we could have let you know where they were located. We always ask guests to let us know about any issues they find straight away so that we can do our best to rectify them during your stay. Property Owner

  • "A fabulous weekend to celebrate my 60th Birthday."

The view from Camelot is amazing; such a wonderful position. The accommodation was airy, comfortable and a great place to entertain and perfect for a family get together. Correspondence with the owners was prompt and very helpful, thank-you. Would highly recommend staying at Camelot and would love to return at some point in the future. Thank-you. Just a few minor points for the owners. On arrival at Camelot, first impressions: - There is building work going on next door (we were aware of this at the booking stage) which didn’t affect us at all but there is a partition fence with a gap at the bottom and an approximately 2 metre drop the other side so be careful of your footing getting out of your car on that side especially in the dark. - The step up onto the patio was a little high for the older members of the group. - On walking around the back of the property to collect the key from the safe box I was a little disappointed with the presentation of the entrance - the bins and lots of bottles left for the refuge collection (maybe section this area off). The front door was covered in spiders webs, spiders, marks and lots of weeds on the pathway. However, we did not use this entrance from that point on and once inside the property we were blown away with its cleanliness, decor and views.

  • "Firstly we should have been informed at the time of booking that the property is next door to a building site!"

The step at the front of the property is too high for the elderly. On arrival we discovered damp bedding in the dryer. Maintenance of furniture is required i.e. sofa and bedroom unit drawers. Cooker instructions would be useful. Blinds/curtains at the windows required along with an umbrella for shade in the garden and hooks on the bedroom/bathroom doors. Larger towels needed. Better use could be made of cupboard storage for cleaning equipment. We took care of our rubbish but discovered previous occupiers had put their bottles in the wrong bin, as we are all over 70 years of age we had no intention of swapping their bottles to the correct bin. the owners should ensure that this is done as the refuse men will not take bottles from the wrong bin. So much could have been better about our stay and it is with disappointment that I leave this feedback.

  • "Thank you so much to the owners of this beautiful bungalow!"

It was so homely & comfortable & the views were absolutely stunning! They had milk & tea already for us when we arrived which was so lovely after a 6 hour journey. We didn’t really cook as we preferred to eat out but all the things needed to cook were all there. We did use the washer & dryer which was so convenient with 9 of us staying for 4 nights. We went for long picturesque walks but the best part was Bossiney Cove, the beach is sandy & the waters crystal clear, it is like being in a foreign country. I definitely recommend Cornwall it is so beautiful there & I also recommend Camelot Bungalow to stay in 10/10.

  • "Looks even better than in the pictures!"

This is an incredible place in a great location. Everything is minutes away and the view from your window is just stunning. We had booked for a family getaway and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. There's plenty of space inside and the games room is perfect for those late evenings. Everything is well looked after and maintained to a high standard. Host communication is also great, the information they provide you is all you need to explore the surrounding areas. We had booked as a surprise for my mother's 70th and the hosts had even left a welcome basket with cake and a card! The kitchen is very well equipped with all you could possibly need. In short, we would happily stay here again and would recommend to anyone who plans to visit Tintagel.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We were delighted to host you and glad you had a great weekend. Happy 70th Birthday to your mother. Property Owner

About the location

TINTAGEL

Camelford 5.9 miles; Wadebridge 13 miles.

Tintagel, home of the legendary King Arthur’s Castle, whose ruins dominate the cliffside just outside the village, is a popular but not overcrowded tourist destination. The surrounding area is dominated by the sea, rocky coves and stunning scenery. Several beaches, including nearby Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove, are within easy reach and surfing is the main attraction for those who love the water. Tintagel has several pubs and restaurants and the Old Post Office (National Trust) is a must. For the energetic, the South West Coast Path passes through the village and in both directions it winds its way along the cliffs and down to the water’s edge through dramatic countryside. Head north along the path and within a short distance is the beautiful village of Boscastle with its quaint quay and village pubs for refreshment. Further afield are the surfing meccas of Newquay and Bude, with their resort attractions, while the open spaces of Bodmin Moor, the Eden Project, Padstow, Camel Estuary and Port Isaac are all within a short but scenic drive.
