  • "We cannot recommend number 10 Crantock Reach more highly to anyone considering booking it in the future!"

Everything about this wonderful apartment was exactly as advertised and then more. Spotlessly clean and maintained to the highest of standards. Directions provided were uncomplicated and really easy to follow and locate on arrival making the end of our very long journey stress free and we were able to gain quick access to enjoy a much appreciated and needed cup of tea and take half hour to relax before unpacking. The thoughtful cleaner very kindly left us a really unexpected welcome treat which comprised of two fresh scones in a lovely little box accompanied by delicious strawberry jam and cornish clotted cream waiting in the fridge! They went down fantastically with our cup of tea. In another thoughtful gesture we had also been provided with complimentary tea bags sugar and a pint of fresh milk these small personal touches really made us feel welcomed and at home. The beds were obviously of high quality because they were the most comfortable we've ever slept in (more comfortable than our own at home!) The bedding was fresh and spotless and made beautifully as were the towels also provided. The bathrooms were again spotless and of the highest spec and the tiled floors in both bathrooms made it so easy to keep clean and tidy. Throughout the living areas (which are highly spacious and well furnished) the wooden flooring was both functional and so stylish and again easy to keep clean and tidy. The bedrooms were both carpeted which gave a really cosy feel and there is so much space for luggage and places to hang coats and jackets in every room including the extremely spacious entrance hall and corridor which has lots of space to store footwear neatly out of the way. There was clearly so much attention to detail when this apartment was being furnished as a holiday let because there really isn't anything we can think of that wasn't provided to ensure everything we needed was to hand. On the morning of us departing (we really didn't want to go home

  • "This apartment is in a great location with easy access to Fistral beach."

The apartment itself is very comfortable with a large comfortable bed in the main bedroom, 2 comfy sofas in the lounge area and a good size dining table. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need (including the new addition of a coffee machine) and plenty of crockery, cutlery and glasses. The bedding was new and the towels large and soft making for a comfortable stay. We would definitely return.

  • "The apartment was as described in the listing and is well equipped with plenty of plates, cutlery, glasses and cooking utensils, very clean and tidy."

The milk and scones with Jam & cream on arrival is a nice touch too. The towels were large, soft and good quality and the main bed a great size (super king) with a firm but comfortable mattress. Being an apartment you do get some noise from above (mainly footfall) but not enough to worry us and the location to Fistral beach more than makes up for it. My only criticisms are as it was dark on arrival 5pm (earliest checkin) it is really difficult to see the combination locks to retrieve the keys for the apartment as there is no lighting in that area. Also being a coffee lover a coffee machine or larger cafetière (only 1 serving size currently) would be a great addition. We had a great week and will most likely return. Thank you

  • "A lovely clean apartment ."

The linen so let’s this place down the towels had bleach spots on them, they were threadbare and bed linen was bobbled. The en-suite shower !!! Water drizzled through! You have to run the shower for 4-5 minutes before hot water came through! I would be so disappointed paying the big commanding price in full season! If above were rectified I’d return again .

  • "Fabulous apartment in a great location giving you all that Newquay and Crantock have to offer."

5 minute walk to Fistral beach or walk down the steps to Crantock beach at low tide. One of the cleanest holiday lets we have stayed in, beds super comfy and welcome pack was a lovely touch. Great views from the balcony of Crantock in the distance with glimpses of the Gannel to the left. So much to see and do within walking distance of the accommodation a perfect space to relax and enjoy the stunning coastline.

Thank you for the wonderful comments. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and would welcome you back again any time. Best wishes. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay in Pentire, the apartment was well fitted out with everything you need and comfortable."

We have just one tweak suggestion to the kitchen area and that is a coffee machine, they make such a difference to a coffee drinker. We did find it a bit of a hassle getting to the key safe via another padlock as it was dark when we arrived and there was no lighting. We booked our stay very last minute and unfortunately the house keeper got the wrong date so we couldn’t get in on our arrival and the apartment needed to be turned around. However the housekeeper who was very apologetic quickly arrived and sorted everything out, she also kept in touch throughout our stay ensuring we had everything we needed. The apartment is in a great area for Fistral beach and a walk round the headland, whilst not being so busy and noisy as right in Newquay. Unfortunately the coaches for the hotel next door park by the apartment block and you do get a bit of noise from them when they arrive and depart. Being a third floor apartment you do get a good view outside (unfortunately not on the sea side) over the landscape. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will look to return.

  • "Well equipped apartment, clean and tidy."

But only 3 stars because of the master bedroom. Apart from being poorly laid out and not being able to move around the bed easily. The patio door in the bedroom would not open as it should and clearly was damaged and needed repair - how was this not noticed and sorted? Also when closed the draft through the door was aweful and bearing in mind how close the bed was to the patio door it was not a good experience- worthy of 1 star at best! The kitchen/living area was very well equipped and comfortable.

Thank you for your review and we were sorry to hear you found issues with the main bedroom which did not meet your expectations. As you can appreciate, the bed in the main bedroom is against the only free wall (the other three walls have balcony door, en suite door and fitted wardrobes) hence there is no other logical way to lay out the bedroom. The balcony door has been professionally checked after your departure further to your feedback, and no issue was found. It was fully working before, and has been for all other guests since. Kind regards. Property Owner

The property

This fantastically located, luxury apartment rests on the Pentire Peninsula which is between Fistral Beach and the beautiful Gannel Estuary, in the thriving surfing town of Newquay, Cornwall.

Crantock Reach is a contemporary, open-plan apartment boasting two south-facing balconies and is suited to a couple, small family or group wanting to enjoy a coastal escape to Cornwall.

Step into the bright and airy open-plan living room, with a fully-equipped kitchen, complete with sleek white units, a dishwasher and a breakfast bar to prep and enjoy quick meals at, as well as a dining table that can seat the whole group, so you can enjoy meals together and plan out the itinerary for your stay.

The sitting room has a sliding door onto an enclosed south-facing balcony complete with seating and views of Crantock town, glimpses of the Gannel Estuary and hills beyond, as well as a choice of two sofas to relax onto whilst enjoying watching TV or just soaking up your stunning setting.

There are two bedrooms to choose from; a spacious master super king-size double with delightful wooden furniture and access to a Juliet balcony (also south-facing with the same views as from the main balcony) as well as an en-suite shower room, while the twin bedroom has a zip/link feature, so can be turned into a super-king on request, catering for a variety of groups.

There is a second bathroom; a contemporary fully tiled suite with shower over bath, which should prevent any queues forming in the mornings.

There are pubs and restaurants within a stone's throw, as well as a selection of shops, while Pentire Peninsula boasts dramatic headlands and sweeping Atlantic coastal views towards Padstow Bay.

There are excellent walking opportunities to hand, with the South West Coast Path running the length of the coastline in both directions and encompassing stunning sandy beaches, dramatic cliffs and hidden coves.

Another great feature of Crantock Reach is its perfect location for golfers – Newquay Golf Club is highly popular for its coastal location, with coffee shops and spa hotels as options for others in the group.

Crantock Beach offers miles of golden sand, backed by dunes at the mouth of the Gannel Estuary, while Fistral Beach has a sand dune and cliff back drop and is known for its excellent surfing conditions.

Newquay is the UK's surf capital, and you can enjoy surfing or a number of water sports at any of its three major beaches, as well as a stroll around its picturesque harbour, stopping off at the 14th Century former lookout of Huer's Hut, while family days out can be enjoyed at Newquay Zoo and the Blue Reef Aquarium.

Head north up the coast along the Trevose Head Heritage Coast towards the fishing port of Padstow, or venture south towards Perranporth and the St Agnes Heritage Coast, while Cornwall's only city, Truro, is a short drive away, with its cathedral, museum and host of shops and eateries.

There is plenty of opportunity to explore the stunning north Cornwall coast from this fantastic luxury apartment.
