Spacious accommodation and plenty of bathrooms. The surfers shower facility is excellent! Hugely enjoyable week and hope to return same time next year if not before.

  • "We had another lovely stay here- our second time staying in this property."

There is now more seating to accommodate more guests which is great. We always find the house very well equipped and the two dishwashers come in very handy! We used the barbecue on two evenings and enjoyed the lovely views. After two years here we still struggle a bit with the light switches and wish they were normal but that is a tiny thing! Thank you for having us!

  • "A lovely and spacious house in a great location."

The only frustration is that while the house is big enough for 10-12 people, it’s not really equipped for that many. The living area has soft seating for a maximum of 5 comfortably and there aren’t any big cooking pots and pans if you’re catering for that number. I can see that would be fine in lovely weather when you would live outside but most of the year it isn’t like that! We still had a great time but that was a bit of a frustration.

  • "We had an amazing family holiday at Megizzy, helped by the fact that the sun shone throughout our stay."

We arrived to find a lovely welcome basket with tea, coffee, food and wine. The house was spacious and well equipped, with all you’d expect kitchen / utility wise. There were also games, books, table tennis, body boards, darts, table football, a hammock and bbq and more to keep us entertained. It took us a day or so to fathom out the house tech, but after that it was plain sailing. The location of this property is spot on and the views / sunsets simply stunning! We hope to holiday here again in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Megizzy and made the most of the space, view and entertainment. We hope it won't be too long before we get to welcome you back so you can make the most of the beautiful location and sunsets once again John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner Property Owner

  • "We had an amazing week at Megizzy and the sun shone all week for us!"

The house was so spacious, well kitted out and comfortable. And what an incredible view! We did struggle with the boiling water tap- we reset it twice and it still didn’t work so a kettle would have been great as a back up (we ended up having to boil pans of water for our teas and coffees!) and it took us a little while to adjust to the light switches but other than that we have no complaints and loved our stay! We would definitely try to stay at Megizzy again- thank you!

hank you for letting us know you had such a great stay at Megizzy, especially with those views ! Thank you for your suggestions regards a kettle - had we known you were having problems with the tap, we would have gladly assisted while you were here. We hope you choose to book with John Bray Cornish Holidays again as we would love to welcome you back to Cornwall in the very near future Property Owner

  • "Beautiful house and amazing location with the best views."

The living area is not suitable for 12 people. The dining table does not seat that number. It is too small. In terms of comfy seating there isn’t the space to accommodate 12 either.

  • "The property is great of course with amazing views etc, hence the weekly rate."

The bedrooms superb and spacious. The downstairs games room is a real bonus with well above average table tennis and football table fun to be had. We had a really lovely time. The only relatively downside bits were, on arrival all the outside (sea facing) view windows were dirty? (Salty) which meant the views weren’t great and so I had to personally clean all the windows myself? Good for my fitness but not exactly what I had in mind on arrival. The tap with the magic instant boiling water feature is useful unless it stops working and there is no kettle? The last two days were a bit frustrating with no boiling water available especially when the maintenance man came round to fix it and said he didn’t know how to fix it? Okay thanks! Finally and this is knit picking. Having very modern light switches and most electricity directed by an i pad can be challenging especially for holiday makers of a certain age along with the 20 - 30 year olds in our family, Only being there for a week it would of been preferred in some ways to just walk in a room and and flick a light switch on in the old fashioned way. The above is just feedback as requested I would like to express again the house is great, the welcome pack there a good touch and we had a wonderful stay and would recommend it.

  • "We have just returned from the most fantastic holiday in the most beautiful house Megizzy!"

Polzeath is a really lovely spot and great if you are a surfer! We took our two adult children with us and our daughters fiancée. We thought Polzeath might be a bit dead at this time of year but it wasn’t at all. It had a great vide with all the surfers and many of the shops in the small village were open. The house itself exceeded all our expectations. From the minute we walked through the door we could sense how much this house was loved and it has a really peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. It is a very comfortable house with everything you need and much much more. We all were just able to relax and enjoy the house and the view over the beach and the sea. The kids and my husband all took a couple of surfing lessons with “Surfs up” surfing school which were excellent and they were able then to just practice on their own after that and came on in leaps and bounds. It felt like a very safe beach in which to learn to surf and progress. We were blessed with exceptional weather and perfect conditions in which to surf. The house has been finished to the highest standard and everything was new and spotless and felt very luxurious! It felt like we were in a 5 star hotel only better! There is ample space in which to spread out and have ones own space or spend time together as a family in the wonderful open plan kitchen, diner and lounge. We enjoyed all the latest up to date mod cons and using an iPad to control all the different mood lightings which was so much fun! We discovered an excellent pub/ restaurant just 5 minutes walk from the house called The Oyster Catcher with really good food and beers, cider etc. What else can one ask for in a holiday?! Oh and also there is a great games room with a dart board, table tennis and also surf boards, SUP board and boogie boards to borrow. There is a really convenient wet room/ utility room which is great for hanging wetsuits, wet towels etc. I would highly recommend taking a holiday in this truly outstanding house which we really hope to return to many more times in the future!
