"TV is in need of a service engineer, as picture is appallingly bad."
"A beautiful cottage and surroundings, well equipped and comfortable."
Excellent base for exploring Cornwall
"Lovely warm property."
The xmas tree was a lovely thought. I managed to cook a complete xmas lunch for 5 with all the kitchen utensils. Enough said.
"Another fantastic stay in your holiday home Have alreadybooked for next year, lovely and warm & cosy evenings, lovely location set in beautiful surroundings away from it all just what you need for few days away, the cottage is layer out beautiful, clean and well catered for all you need, stayed here few times now and as said will definitely be back and would highly recommend my family & friends Thank you for another lovely stay."
"Another fantastic week at Trenouth."
Warm, comfortable and very peaceful. In a great area for exploring the stunning coastline.
"Great location & peaceful."
Made to feel welcome by the owners who came to say hello. Allowed us to wander around their land & meet the pigs & peacocks. Cottage very clean & everything readily available. Only comment I would make & this is personal to me is that I found the mattresses rather uncomfortable.
"Lovely cottage and facilities dogs loved the garden and very secure."
Cottage well equipped with everything you need, beds so comfortable best night sleep. The sofa’s not so good the cushions move off could be better but don’t go away to sit in doors. The owners are so welcoming and friendly the farm is great seeing the animals and being able to walk round, going to book for next year.
"The cottage is located on the most wonderful farm which you can walk all around."
The owners are very friendly and are more than happy to chat when you see them around the farm. The cottage’s location means it’s blissfully peaceful with only the sound of birds twittering (and the peacocks of course!) from the many trees so you’re able to relax from the second you arrive which is what a holiday is for. The cottage is spotlessly clean with plenty of crockery and glasses. The double bed, with the metal frame, which we slept in was so comfortable and the bedroom has lots of storage. The whole cottage has a very light and open feel which is wonderful and with so many windows and so many beautiful views it’s a real pleasure to come back at the end of the day. It’s in the perfect location for us as we love Harlyn Bay and Padstow. It’s easy to get to all the attractions you’ll want to visit. We loved it so much we’ve booked to come back next year and we can’t wait!
"The most fantastic cottage in a stunning location."
The cottage was everything that we wanted. The owners were very kind and generous with showing us all the animals around the farm. We really didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday. :-)
"Totally awesome including the owners."
Ron , Susie, Merlin and Morgan.
"The cottage was perfect."
It was everything you could ever want from a cottage holiday. We've already tried to book the same place again but there's literally no availability for 2021. Its worth the wait though- see you in 2022!
"Could do with more personal things like toilet rolls, Washing up liquid, ."
The duvets were very warm for this time. of year . On the whole very comfortable and would visit again
"There was rain coming in through the ceiling of one of the bedrooms."
It was very damp and cold. The walls were wet with damp and our clothes were extremely damp when we left them in the draws. The photographs looked so lovely online - but the experience was not. We looked at other properties whilst staying and compared to other better places the price was very high. Lisa Maynard
Thank you for your comments. We are really disappointed that you did not contact us at the time of your stay when we could have taken action as necessary. The owners live nearby and were unaware of any issues, they would have been more than happy if you had let them know so that they could have dealt with any issues. We have not received any comments regarding the house being damp and cold, we will however keep an eye on reviews and take action if required. Property Owner

"Had a relaxing break at Trenouth cottage."
Everything you could wish for is provided. Close to stunning dog friendly beaches. very quiet location. We have stayed here numerous times and look forward to coming back again.
"This was our fourth visit to Trenouth Cottage and we have already booked to come again!"
We just love the tranquil surroundings and it’s close proximity to some great beaches and coastal walks which is just perfect for a relaxing week away with our dogs; we always feel so comfortable here.
"Beds were very comfy and the bed linens good quality as were towels, kitchen equipment, etc Tv was a good size and the settees comfortable."
Wood burner was great. Wood provided too. Location was the best thing about this cottage. Although remote, access to the beaches local pubs and the lovely Padstow could not have been better. I may well go back
"This was our second visit to Trenouth Cottage and we have booked for 2020."
We enjoy the peace and remoteness of the cottage. Waking up surrounded by beautiful farmland and animals is great. The cottage is spacious, cosy and has everything you need. We enjoyed lighting the woodburner on a couple of chilly nights. A lovely dog friendly cottage and we cant wait to return
"We had the most lovely time at Trenouth Cottage."
Rupert and Elaine made us feel so very welcome and let us have free access to all their wonderful land. The children especially enjoyed seeing all the animals and feeding the pigs! The cottage was the perfect size for the four of us and had everything we needed for a the stay. It was blissfully quiet and in the perfect spot for all our days out, we were never more than 15 minutes drive from a beach. Highly recommend!
"Fab location central to most attractions and beaches."
Lovely cottage and garden. Everything you want for a perfect Cornish holiday
"Lovely, peaceful place which, although its on a working farm, is cleverly positioned so that it feels as though its on its own."
This means that you don't see any of the farm traffic or other people unless you want to. Lots of good dog-walking country in surrounding area and the cottage itself is clean, has plentiful hot water, a thoughtful welcome pack (much appreciated, thank you) and everything else you could need. Plenty of space to park, dog-friendly gardens and it all feels nicely safe and secure. My one suggestion would be to improve/update the garden furniture, currently its an unmovable (heavy) picnic bench but that's a very minor issue. The real delight is no road-traffic noise and minimal light pollution, falling asleep under starlight and waking up to bird song is exactly what a holiday ought to be about. Its also within 4/5 miles of half a dozen beaches and bays and the south west coast path.
"Unfortunately holiday ruined by the bird scare guns every hour which spooked our dog so had to leave early."
"The cottage was brilliant - homely and fab fire!"
Everything we needed (including a lovely welcome package!) the grounds were fantastic too and we loved exploring with the peacocks, piglets and cat. The wind powered mill was epic! We will definitely be revisiting, was fantastic! Thank you :)
"Sykes Cottages totally exceeded my expectations and I will definitely make you my first port of call another time."
"Lovely house with everything we needed for a super relaxing holiday."
House is bright and cheerful. Surrounded by farm fields, peaceful and very dog friendly. Front and rear gardens. Have already booked to return.
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in what was a lovely little cottage, however, we were disappointed to have to clean up at least 6 lots of dog waste from the garden in order that our 3 year old grand daughter could actually play outside."
We had our dog with us and like to think that we are responsible enough to clear up any of her waste, but clearly, the previous occupants couldn't be bothered. whilst we accept that it is no fault of the owners, we feel the garden could have been checked more thoroughly prior to our arrival.
"The cottage is set in beautiful surroundings, on a lovely farm which you are allowed to wonder were ever you like and the area is outstanding."
Unfortunately the cottage wasn’t quite what we were expecting. It’s a bit tired - paint peeling, kitchen units falling apart, beds are past their best with lumpy mattresses. Shower was either freezing or too hot to stand under, took a very long time to get temperature ok. The whole property was very dusty with cobwebs everywhere. Overall it’s a lovely cottage - just needs to be updated. Certainly doesn’t warrant the four ticks you have given it. I just wonder when the last time Sykes checked it over. Ive booked through Sykes many times and always been delighted with properties but am sorry to say that I was really let down with this cottage.
"Great location and beautiful cottage."
Lots of animals on the Farm to see, enjoyed by our 7month old son. Good access to lots of villages, towns and beaches within 15 mins. We will definitely be back.
"An excellent secluded cottage that provided a perfect base for our Cornwall holiday."
Certainly lived up to our needs and the dogs had plenty of space around the area for walks. We will definitely consider a return in the future.
"Beautiful cottage, lovely quiet location had a great holiday and cottage was well equipped."
