  • "Lovely house, lovely owners."

Perfectly situated if you want peace and quiet, but easy to travel to other destinations. Kitchen stocked with plenty of utensils Would highly recommend

  • "The cottage was lovely with everything we needed for a warm and comfortable stay for us and our dog."

It was quiet and private with a large garden area to take the dog - we never saw the neighbours in the other cottage. The owners hens provided fresh eggs. There is a cycle path nearby for a quick dog walk and 2 small forests within 5 miles for a longer local walk. Waitrose an easy 5 mins away by car. Centrally placed for the coast, Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor. Recommended!

  • "On arrival this property definitely has the wow factor."

lots of charm and character, spotlessly clean and spacious, in a beautiful location. sadly the tired sagging sofas are a bit of a let down. What spoilt our stay was the extremely uncomfortable bed. When the sofas and mattress are replaced, I think that this will be a perfect holiday let.

Thank you for staying with us. We are very sorry to hear that you felt the sofas and bed were uncomfortable. The sofas were replaced fairly recently and we have not had any feedback regarding the uncomfortable bed. It’s a new mattress so surprised to hear this. Thank you for your feedback. Best wishes and kind regards. Property Owner

  • "Lovely stay at The Post House."

A great welcome with scones and clotted cream. The property was well equipped, the kids loved the box full of toys and we loved that Netflix was logged in on the TV. The kids loved going to look at the chickens everyday and the eggs were lovely.

  • "The DVD player was not provided, and we had to make a fuss to get one."

The smart aspect of the TV was inoperable because of internet connectivity problems, thus all the more reason for a DVD player. There is an ongoing problem with flies from outside the accommodation entering whenever the front door is opened. We spent hours trying to eliminate these flies.

A DVD player was provided on request and immediately delt with. The connection to the smart tv had been log off but was able to connect easily. As with regards to flies we are situated in a country farm setting during the unseasonably warm Oct weather this resulted in a few more flies at that time but not normally an issue . Property Owner

  • "Absolutely fantastic holiday!"

Lovely comfortable and clean property. Very friendly owner Kathryn, and her mum, made us feel welcome. Cream tea on arrival was a really nice touch. Beds were comfortable, kitchen very well equipped. Our dog really enjoyed himself and was quite taken with the chickens, ducks and goose. Really nice to have some eggs from the chickens on sale which we really enjoyed. Nice quiet area but with shops and takeaways within easy reach. Great base to explore both Devon and Cornwall. Thank you for a lovey two weeks. Would definitely book again and recommend.

  • "Staddon Barns was a lovely place to stay."

The host Kathryn was very welcoming and friendly. Post House had fantastic views of the country side, with a bit of wildlife on show. We had fresh eggs from the chicken and ducks. Natural alarm clock from the rooster. The Barns were close the the town centre which provides for basic needs. Bude is a short drive away along windy country roads. Even with the weather a little gloomy did not detract from our stay and adventures around Devon and Cornwall. Good to see that the hosts were taking COVID seriously ensuring everything was sanitised and clean. You should go and check it out.
