"Brilliant location in St Merryn."
The Lodge was well equipped with everything you might need. We had a wonderful time staying here.
-
"Lovely accommodation, well supplied and comfortable."
The extras like milk in fridge, tea coffee and biscuits were very welcome, thank you. We will definitely be back. Great find.
-
"Beautiful house."
We felt very comfortable. Everything was there. Unfortunately, the guests in front of us had left the dishes and the grill a bit unclean. A deck chair or two for the garden would have been nice. Thanks for all.

"Spotlessly clean, very well equipt, everything you would possibly need for a home away from home."
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

"The property was not clean despite being told it had been."
The dirt, dust & grime within the property was very off putting and made it quite unpleasant to sit in, I did not feel comfortable walking around without flip flops on. The pictures within the advertising of the property were very misleading to the actual property. The mattresses on the beds do fit the beds, they are far to big for the bed frames and made it very uncomfortable. Although we were told about the smell of tobacco I think the general condition of the place contributes to the overall smell within the place. I do not believe this property was worth the money we spent to stay here.

"Totally disgusted with the property that we stayed in- and to the pleasure paid £1100."
00 for. We couldn’t even take our clothes out of the bags due to the smell of the place, nor could we leave the bags on the smelly filthy carpets. My Husband picked up 5 bags of dog poo off the back lawn as a really holiday treat before our children could set foot in the garden (which they still didn’t afterwards). As you feel confident advertising this property on your site I would like to invite you to stay there and I can pretty much guarantee that you would feel exactly the same. Ps the one star selected was due to me not being able to proceed with this feedback. Our true rating is zero.

"Enjoyed the tennis courts very much, nice extra."
Would have loved to have a pool on site, would be perfect but only couple miles from beautiful beaches so not an issue at all.

"Overall the lodge was well equipped, but a over powering smell of nicotine throughout the lodge ,which was uncomfortable, especially when a sign above front door in the hall way stating NO SMOKING!"
-
"Great location for being in Cornwall."
Everything we needed was in the lodge apart from it could really do with having a baby highchair as most people tend to have one for guests but this can be minor. The lodge is great to use as a base for travelling Cornwall and it has some lovely restaurants close by. The only downside would be to the level of cleanliness it was left it from the cleaners as there was still crumbs all over the floor and the cushions and gaps in the sofas had peanuts etc all in there still. But this is not aimed at the Owner at all :) I would book again!

"The rear garden was in need of attention and there were piles of bottles left by previous occupants."
There were no instructions as regards to recycling so this could have been the problem. Although we did manage to get rid of ours and even took some home.

"Lovely lodge and comfortable."
When booking it wasn’t mentioned it is on a holiday park which sadly is run down. Restaurant advertised Sunday roast etc but wasn’t even open on Sunday lunch time. The park was like a ghost town. Lovely field, tennis courts (Astro but locked up and couldn’t be used) but absolutely no one around and this is August. Bins outside the shop weren’t emptied and we’re split. Merryn Holiday Park is not set up for families and if I’d known this I wouldn’t have chosen this lodge. But the lodge itself was lovely.

"Very comfortable lodge with all modern facilities including microwave, wide screen television etc."
The neighbours were very noisy especially at night when there was a lot of load talk and shouting although these may have been other holiday makers. Fans are in the bedrooms which is a great idea. We went in the heatwave week so this was appreciated. A lot of activities In the area which would suit children and adults alike. The lodge was clean although smelt of stale tobacco when we arrived which was unpleasant as we are non-smokers.
-
"Really lovely holiday home with plenty of space for the 3 of us to live for the week."
The communal areas were really well decorated and had every device required i.e. TV, internet, music, coffee maker etc. It is also a lovely quiet friendly site and we were made to feel very welcome by other guests and residents.

"Great location, nice holiday park with good space to run the dog and a nice bar onsite too."
Beds were comfy, shower was great and the place was clean. Would recommend adding a few lamps to the living room. Kitchen needs a bottle opener to an otherwise well stocked kitchen. My only real gripe was that the patio doors were impossible to open. The key just didn't turn. This was noted in the welcome pack received shortly before our arrival but it should be fixed as it did have an impact on our overall enjoyment. Would be great if there were some outdoor chairs on the deck. All in all a very nice stay.

"The owner's communication was very prompt and helpful."
The lodge had lovely comfy beds, nice bathroom and a good kitchen. Lovely new TV too. Everything was very clean. Would recommend

"Really great location for exploring the beautiful north cornwall coast."
The house had everything needed for a good week away. Was clean, comfortable with a good shower, hot water and great heating. The site has a dog exercise field, bar and play area great for families. Would stay again - Thanks to Mark

"What a beautiful lodge, absolutely everything you need to enjoy a break any time of the year, spacious and very clean and in a great location, we have been to this site 3 - 4 times now and will definitely go back, St Merryn has some great places to eat and drink and can't recommend The Cornish Arms highly enough, owned bt Rick Stein."
The food is amazing and very reasonably priced, always had lovely food every time we have been. If you're looking for a beech you have 7 bays for 7 days, so a different one to try each day, and each one of them is beautiful. Love the place and love the area and would not hesitate to go. back anytime. Thanks Keith Lambert

"Had a wonderful week, exceptional weather!"
! The bungalow was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The bathroom needs some attention and Mark agreed that it is to be renovated this winter. We had good communication with Mark, the owner, who is always open to any suggestions that benefit the property.

"Lovely new kitchen."
However, there was only one medium size saucepan and 2 really small ones.So there needs to be more for an average-size family. Also, there was no indoor mat inside hallway and the mat outside door was meant for indoor use only and so became sodden on a rainy day. Overall, I would give 9 out of 10 in view of these small negatives.
-
"Lovely comfortable family accommodation."
Perfect with dogs as garden/patio enclosed. Excellent location for Padstow and Seven bays. Beds were comfortable. WiFi and smart tv were a bonus. Communication with the owner was very good and most helpful. Had everything we needed and would highly recommend.
-
"Comfortable lodge for a family of 5 plus 1 dog."
Good location to visit 7 bays in Cornwall. Very good communication with the owner. Highly recommend! Regards Hanna
-
"Would recommend this accommodation for location and comfort and layout of rooms etc."
Only minor "negative" is that some kitchen utensils were missing i.e chopping board too small,no oven gloves,no Pyrex jug and some metal utensils scratched the non-stick pans. Bearing this in mind, we would give 9.75 out of 10.
-
"No complaints about the property."
If I was being particular I'd say that perhaps the beds could be a little more robust, we felt they were flimsy.. A superb week all round.... Thanks..
-
"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely lodge and we will definitely be booking it again for next year."
I feel we ought to mention that the onsite club house/restaurant was hardly open while we were there, but I'm not sure if this was to do with the time of year (end of June)? However, the other facilities ie dog walking area and the local area in general were very good.

"The cottage has everything you need for a stay in Cornwall (apart from no hairdryer) so don't forget yours!"
We found it clean and the owner sent full instructions beforehand. The family were happy with having wifi! There's a shop on site that's open till 6pm and we did make use of the laundrette
