  • "We loved staying at Polly’s Bower."

It was clean, well equipped and comfortable, and in a beautiful spot. It is very well appointed with a really sympathetic renovation of an old barn and very nicely fitted out. Our cat settled really well, which is quite an achievement! Glorious views, with outside benches and table for when the weather allows, looking out over orchards and fields. Delicious Cornish cream tea provided for arrival, plus other local goodies, and a pint of milk. All you could want, and more, from a holiday cottage. The lovely Tamar Valley is on the doorstep, and easy access to north and south coasts. Tavistock is a really nice market town to explore, and Plymouth is nearby. National Trust Cotehele is really worth a visit. We would love to return. Thank you !

Spotless on arrival with a generous welcome pack and the log-burner lit glowing, warming the cottage nicely. Good comms from the owners. Well-equipped and comfortable. Recommended and we will be booking again.

It is a beautiful space to spend time in and is situated really well to explore a gorgeous part of the country. More than that, the hosts really have thought of everything and the many small touches were the icing on an already lovely cake. The best thought through place we have ever stayed.

The cottage is beautiful and the views are stunning. The location was perfect for exploring Cornwall. The hosts were really lovely and the little touches (such as a hamper of Cornish treats and home pressed apple juice) were thoughtful and made the trip even better. The pool was a real treat and easy to organise. Don’t hesitate to book Polly’s Bower for a beautiful Cornish base.

Louise & Mike have thought of everything you could ever need while on holiday. The welcome basket & scones was a lovely touch as was the Prosecco chilling in the fridge when we arrived. The furnishings were lovely and everything was spotlessly clean. The cottage is set in a beautiful area with lots of stunning walks close by. The cherry on the cake was the heated swimming pool which we enjoyed almost daily…….even at the end of September! To sum up we could not recommend Polly’s Bower highly enough and it’s definitely 5* from us.

We had everything we needed to enable us to be self sufficient having taken all the produce we needed to enjoy for our weeks stay. The welcome of cream tea set out beautifully and other goodies to enjoy added the special touches that weren't expected but were delightful. Louise is a lovely person and has certainly put her stamp of luxury on this property. Highly recommended. The Rod and Line pub which is close by is amazing in the fact that they are so friendly and the pub is like stepping back in time the atmosphere and the food was lovely. Seaton which is approximately 15 minutes drive away has the most amazing beach and lovely country walks, we took a pic-nic and spent all day walking and marvelling at the scenery. The property

A little slice of heaven, Polly's Bower is a luxurious, dog-friendly retreat for couples set in beautiful rolling Cornish countryside with sensational far-reaching views and an elegant outdoor heated pool.

A unique venue, this exquisite conversion of a 300 year old apple crushing barn is situated in south-east Cornwall between the villages of Landrake and Tideford near the city of Plymouth.

It occupies a tranquil and tucked away location, amid a patchwork of fields and wooded valleys, yet is a hop from the Cornish Riviera coastline and beaches and the Tamar Valley, which is an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Detached and well-screened from the owners neighbouring farmhouse, it is nicely private and makes the perfect escape at anytime of year.

Enter the spacious open plan living room and discover a tasteful blend of the modern and the rustic.

Oak wood floors, exposed beams, modern art, soft lamps and a deep rug adds to the comfort, elegance and style.

A deep sofa and armchair adorned with coordinated cushions and throws sits beside a wood burner and there are books, DVD's and board games for cosy nights in.

The modern kitchen is well equipped with gadgets aplenty including a coffee machine.

Romantics can enjoy suppers at the dining table set within an inglenook or on the south-facing patio during the warmer months and watch the sun set.

A sumptuous bed dressed with plump pillows and soft cotton bed linens awaits in the first floor bedroom.

An intimate and open plan design, a low wall separates the bed area from the bathroom area with its free-standing bath, sleek shower and a loo tucked into the corner.

Expect to relax and be pampered with White Company hand and bath towels, luxurious toiletries, cotton bathrobes and slippers.

A stable door provides access to external steps.

Convenient for explorers, you are not far from visitor hotspots at Looe, Polperro, Fowey, Cawsand and Kingsand and the long sandy beach and scenic coast path at Whitsand Bay.

Scenic walks can commence from the front door along green lanes and field paths through meadows and woods with pleasant river views.

Stop for a refreshment at the nearby local The Rod and Line pub or Heskyn Mill restaurant, return to your sweet cottage and cosset yourself in luxury.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.
