"The house was lovely and clean."
There was everything needed in the kitchen. The hot tub was great. The beds were super comfortable. The WiFi was a bit intermittent at times though. It was lovely to be able to eat outside. The amazing beach and shops were just a few minutes drive away. The Bluff Inn was great for food: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also Cove Cafe was great for lunch and drinks. Would definitely recommend this place and probably will come stay here again.

"The property was beautiful!"
It rained a lot when we were there and there were games and books to read. We loved the cosy, stylish and elegant decoration and it was cosy and felt luxurious at the same time. The only issue was with the outside space. We have a nosy little dachshund to loves to explore and it wasn't enclosed as it stated in the details. We managed to construct a barrier to keep her safe whilst we were in the hottub, but this wouldn't have worked if she had been any bigger, or if she'd spotted a bird on the other side!! It is down a long, bendy driveway, though, and quite far from the main road, so we weren't too worried about it. We had lots of beautiful wanders around the grounds and there are some spectacular sea views from up the hill a bit. The facilities were second to none and we all had a great holiday. Thank you
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review following your stay, we are delighted to hear that you had a wonderful time. We are sorry about the mix up over the description mentioning an enclosed area. We have now updated this to ensure future guests are aware that the patio areas are not enclosed. Property Owner

"Lovely stay at Riviere Barton."
The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable week. Very clean and tidy with a well equipped kitchen. The cottage was child friendly too and the layout makes it easy to toddler proof for future years as we can shut rooms off. Although the driveway is not enclosed it is long and wide and there were very few cars about so there was no issue with the children out the front and walking down to the climbing frame. Sadly we forgot to take wellies and the ground was boggy due to the rain but we're hoping to try out the climbing frame next time! Excellent location for getting out to all our usual stomping grounds. The main road is not far away. We will definitely be back!
Thank you for reviewing our property, we are pleased you had a lovely time and everything met your needs. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Kind regards James and Jo Property Owner

"We booked the property specifically as it had a hot tub however this was only partially useable and not suited for 4 due to the damage and decay of the hot tub cover."
The owners it seems were met down by the delivery service but the damage was clearly not recent. Boiler packed up part way through the week and the owner was very responsive, resolving it quickly.
Thank you for your feedback. The damage to the hot tub lid happened just before your arrival. We ordered an new hot tub cover which should have been in place for your stay but unfortunately we were let down by the delivery company. The hot tub however was still useable and kept to temperature. A new hot tub lid is now in place. The issue with the boiler was unforeseen but this was dealt with and sorted for you. We do hope aside from these two issues that you had an enjoyable stay. Property Owner

"Such a beautiful property, perfectly located so that you have your own privacy but still within a short drive of towns, shops and days out."
We couldn’t have possibly asked for more in the way of homely touches, fully equipped with everything you could possibly need in a holiday home. We would 100% recommend and stay again our selves.

"Very comfortable holiday cottage with beautiful decor and fixings."

"This is a beautiful house set in a quiet location."
This immaculate house had lovely touches everywhere and was equipped with everything you might need. The hot tub was large and easy to operate and the outdoor area was spacious and perfect for a bbq in the warm evenings. I was worried that our young dog would like the freedom too much as the garden was not enclosed, but he stayed close by and if he did wonder, there was a nice, grassy park at the end of the drive which was quiet and safe and nowhere near a main road. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

"Myself and my son have just had a holiday here."
We both agree that this property is the most comfortable and well equipped property we have ever stayed in. The furniture and beds are lovely. The place is spotlessly clean and every kitchen utensil you could ever want. The hit tub was an absolute bonus that we used every day. The area is lovely, quiet and very relaxing. All in all we had the perfect break. We both would recommend a stay here. The owners check with us regularly that every thing is ok, very caring.
Thank you for your feedback, we are glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

Where you’ll be staying
HAYLE
St Ives 6.3 miles; Penzance 7.4 miles.
Hayle is in the far-flung south western corner of Cornwall and sits on an important RSPB wildlife estuary flowing out to the beautiful St Ives Bay, where visitors can enjoy three miles of golden sandy beaches, walks, history and wildlife. Hayle has plenty of activities out of the water too; Paradise Park is a wildlife park, home to some spectacular parrots, otters, and red pandas. Hayle has a range of shops, restaurants and bars scattered around the estuary and harbour area. There are skittles and karting for the family, and for golfers, one of the best links golf courses in Cornwall is at Lelant, a mile out of Hayle. But the jewel of Hayle is the three miles of golden sandy beach, with fantastic surfing at Gwithian where there is a surf shop, lessons and hire of equipment. For the less energetic there are beach cafés where you can take in the views and watch the children play. As Hayle is centrally located you can easily access many other places by either public transport (there is a train station at Hayle) or driving. St. Ives is a short drive away where you can wander through the narrow streets, visit the art galleries, or admire the colourful sub-tropical gardens. St Ives harbour has its own small fishing fleet and there are plentiful boat trips skippered by locals keen to showcase the best that Cornwall has to offer, whether it be seal watching at Seal Island, a couple of hours' mackerel fishing or a relaxing trip to Godrevy Lighthouse. Within easy reach of Hayle is the Minack Theatre, Falmouth Maritime Museum, Eden Project, St. Michael’s Mount and many other fantastic tourist attractions for dry or wet days.
