"Very well set out and well equipped Very dog friendly."
-
"We loved our stay here."
The cottage is beautifully presented and well stocked. A great location for plenty of dog walks, and access to the coast path was only a short drive.
-

"Wonderful cottage in a dreamy location."
We were so comfortable and content here. Everything has been considered and it was spotless. A lovely welcome from the owner with a smashing cream tea and flowers. The garden and views were great and we really enjoyed them. I would happily return and have no hesitation to recommend.

"Anjarden Byre is a glorious property: superbly appointed and maintained."
Its position means that it is quiet with lovely countryside views yet convenient for Penzance, St. Ives and many other places on the north or south coasts. Importantly, we were made to feel really welcome by the owner.

"Nicely presented, great location for the Penzance area, rural, peaceful, and a welcome pet friendly retreat."
Nice thoughtful welcome pack.

"What an amazing tranquil place And Julie the host was lovely"
-
"The property is situated right at the heart of many rural walks."
It is a small, well equipped property and the owner has clearly tried to make sure that anyone staying there has everything they need. A fabulous welcome tray is there on arrival, which is a lovely touch. There is a small, well maintained garden which can be accessed via a side gate and overlooks fields. Unfortunately, as the weather was pretty miserable, we were not able to make use of it properly. The location of the property is extremely peaceful, yet it is situated a short drive away from attractions and local supermarkets.

"Julie was super though only saw her briefly."
All needs met. Only not fencing nit very high on garden so if have a bouncy, escapee of a dog will not suit. Other than that. Perfect property, in a super lactation for acces to dog friendly beaches and sights

"Kitchen knives could do with sharpening."
And maybe an extractor hood in the kitchen but that’s nit picking. A lovely cosy cottage. Nice and secluded.
-
"A real home from home."
We had everything we needed for a great holiday. A peaceful location made for a relaxing time.
-

"Yes the heated towel rail is in need of replacement or repair."
There is no evidence that the electrical appliances have been inspected and tested. The ironing board requires replacing as it is not useable. As an agent I would have thought that you would have made the owner aware of the necessity of a yearly check.
I have looked at the issues you raised in your feedback; Electric Towel Airer: I have moved the outer sheath of the electrical wire back into position, as it had slipped down, and secured it. The wires it was covering are unblemished and in good order. Weekly visual inspections are made of electrical appliances and annual checks are maintained and I think impugning the electrical integrity of the whole cottage, is excessive. Ironing Board: I have checked and used the folding ironing board which preforms to design specifications and is not broken. I'm sorry you had difficulty unfolding it but it seemed an obvious space saver. I have now put user instructions with it as the original have disappeared. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I believe both issues could have been sorted very quickly if you had asked me about them when you were here, particularly as I asked you on the 2 occasions I saw you, if everything was ok in the cottage for you. to which you replied "yes" Property Owner

The host is most welcoming and nothing was a bother for her. A delight to stay there.

"Cottage very well situated to explore the southern area."
-
"Anjarden Byre is well positioned to explore the extreme West of Cornwall, the Byre has a kitchen that has all the mod cons you could need, the bedrooms have THE most comfortable beds and the lounge area is warm and inviting, and both bathrooms are very clean and spacious ."
.. it's not like a holiday rental... it's like a home. The owner is on hand if needed with any local knowledge you need but she does keep a very low profile !. Overall, a lovely place to have a holiday.

"As above, the facilities exceeded our expectations."
The cottage was very comfortable indeed, and we made very welcome on arrival. The directions for finding the cottage were the best that we have ever received, taking us through the narrow lanes without a hitch. The cottage was well placed for exploring the Lands End and Lizard peninsulas.

About the location
NEWLYN
Penzance 1.2 miles; Marazion 6.6 miles; St Ives 8.9 miles.
Nestled next to Penzance, and although still a quaint town in its own right, Newlyn is actually the third largest fishing port in England, and an important Port of Refuge for all seafaring craft. This Cornish town is clustered around the harbour, with its historic 800 year old quay (the Mayflower actually left for America from this quay, not Plymouth) curling around a few small boats on the western side. Famous for the Newlyn school of Art and Newlyn Copper, the Cornwall Coastal Path passes through the town, as does the level Mousehole to Marazion cycle path. An abundance of wildlife and flora can be enjoyed along both, with basking sharks, dolphins and grey seals often seen. The Cornish coast is renowned for surfing, and Penwith offers some splendid beaches on which to enjoy this sport as well as surf fishing for sea bass. Mounts Bay also offers a wealth of opportunity for watersports enthusiasts as well as giving visitors an opportunity to relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings.
