  • "Perfect place for a couple to get away, lovely and quiet rural retreat yet near enough to the stunning coastline ."

Lovely owners who made us feel very welcome, I’d recommend staying here if you want to escape and unwind.

  • "Ventongimps is a small Hamlet in lovely countryside."

Beautiful Scandinavian style Lodge in owners lovely garden, spotlessly clean and well appointed. Pleasant Owners,Becky and Simon, very welcoming with a delicious cream tea together with eggs from their chickens. We had a thoroughly good holiday stay here and strongly recommend this Lodge and area.

  • "The lane we had to follow from the A3075 which led to Nordstrom was very narrow and did not seem to have passing places and so we were very concerned at meeting an oncoming vehicle, luckily this did not occur."

This also meant we would not have wished to use this lane in the hours of darkness and so we always made sure we returned in daylight hours. We were very pleased with the property and we had a beautiful view from the lounge area of the garden where we could watch the beautiful poultry in an enclosed area happily feeding in an ideal environment.

  • "Simon and Becky our hosts, were really lovely and helpful if we needed anything, but not intrusive."

The setting, especially in the evening, after a day at the beach, was peaceful, and calm. Their chickens weren’t noisy, and they have a pet duck which came to knock on our window every day. Overall, I would highly recommend a stay there.

..have already booked for next year . Not impressed with the 25% + increase in the prices for 2022 ..though ..how do you justify that Sykes when inflation is about less than 1% ??? A sensible reply would be nice !

Nordstrom was an amazing cottage, perfect for two and although in the grounds of a property, very private and well looked after. Great location for walks and short drives to the coast and Truro. Sykes communicated all the information we needed before our arrival and before departure which was stress-free and reassuring. Would highly recommend this place!

Nordstrom is extremely comfortable and so well placed for visiting much of Cornwall. Becky and Simon made us so welcome and the cream tea waiting for us was a lovely and tasty surprise. Chickens and ducks in the garden made us even more idyllic - a perfect get away from it all.

  • "We had an excellent holiday at Nordstrom."

The accommodation was perfect for our needs and the garden very relaxing. The chickens kept our toddler son amused and he loved exploring the place. The owners were very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The accommodation is situated in a very quiet valley but near to many attractions. We enjoyed the magnificent beaches at Holywell, Porthtowan, Chapel Porth and Trevaunance Cove on the nearby north coast and travelled slightly further afield to the calmer beaches of the Roseland. We also loved Fowey and Charlestown and had a great walk along the estuary near Truro. All in all, a great spot, thank you.

The weather has been superb and Nordstrom is in a perfect location. Nice and secluded but not too far from the beaches and towns. The recommendations from the owners as to where to go and eat etc were very helpful. This was our second visit and it’s more than likely we will try to come again in the future! xx

It was so quiet, and private with a beautiful garden which was just for the property. The sky at night had so little light pollution, the stars were clear as day. It was so restful, and the house itself was gorgeous. It would have been hard not to relax there. Definitely exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely go again.

My only gripe is the website keeps sending reminders to book quickly to avoid disappointment. I do not like being put under pressure to book before I am ready. I realise you are treating everyone the same but its time you recognised other people feel the same way as I do.
