  • "This property is incredible."

There were 12 of us for a family stay and we all had the best time. The house is perfectly clean and has everything you need for a getaway. We were given a tour of the farm which everyone, both young and old enjoyed. The hosts were lovely, so helpful and friendly and couldn't be more hospitable. They even provided burgers free of charge for a lovely birthday tea! The layout is perfect for a family meet up, with enough room for the children to play and the adults to have a relaxed time. We had a great time and will definitely be back!! Thanks for a fab stay!!

  • "There was eleven of us that met at the Barn last weekend."

The barn was adequate for our needs and was in a great location for local dog walks. We walked to the local pub for drinks and food on both days, which was dog friendly. We had trouble locating scissors and didn’t manage to locate additional crockery until 24 hours into the trip. The eleven us snuggly fitted around the dining table, but we managed. A couple of guests missed having mirrors in their bedrooms, but the beds were comfy and showers nice and hot, although tricky to get the right temperature. The Barn has a great open plan layout for us all to socially gather and enjoy our company.

  • "We enjoyed our holiday at the Barn but we where disapointed at the size of the garden, it was discribed as large."

We would say that it is small for the size of property. We had issues with the shower in the main bathroom, it was either cold or very hot. We spoke to the friendly owner Jane who said she would get her handy man to look at it. But it did not happen. We had to take showers kneeling in the bath tub. Our party included a master builder and an engineer and they could not get any satisfactory adjustment with shower. These are relativley minor issues and we would book the Barn again.

Such a lovely place to spend Christmas. Tucked away with a central log burning fire that made it so cosy. The owners put us up the most beautiful Christmas tree and were so helpful and welcoming whenever and if ever we needed anything. Beautiful place and would highly highly recommend. • "As a large extended family we had a great holiday at the barn."

The house is lovely and the setting on the farm was ideal for all of us especially the one year old and the dog. The isolated location is ideal at the current difficult times but there is plenty to do a short drive away particularly in Malmsbury. We enjoyed the garden and the bar-b-que was enhanced by the farms home produced burgers and sausages. It was so lovely to walk out the door in the morning and see the hens, ducks, rheas, alpacas etc. Many thanks to Jane and David for making it such a great holiday.

A very comfortable and social house with absolutely everything we needed. Owner was very friendly, obliging and helpful and asked if we had any special requirements or needs before our arrival. Would definitely visit again. The perfect house to relax and spend quality time together!

  • "We had an absolutely fantastic stay in the Barn for my friend's hen do."

It's a great open plan space so you never feel like your group is split across several rooms or too separated. The kitchen is really well equipped and the bedrooms are all very cosy and warm. There is plenty of parking and things within easy reach - we popped into Chippenham and Castle Combe while we were there which were both lovely, but mainly just chilled in the barn, as it's such a fantastic space. When I was looking for a place to accommodate our group of 10, I struggled to find somewhere that had a table and chairs for that many people even though it had the right number of beds, but the Barn had plenty of space for everyone which was a relief. There are only two bathrooms (and one of those is a small ensuite) which was absolutely fine for us, but might not be suitable for different groups. The owners were absolutely lovely too - so flexible and laid back and keen to check that we had everything we needed but also willing to give us our own space. They even gave us an impromptu tour of the farm on Sunday morning and introduced us to all the animals! Apparently their son usually takes guests all around the farm and does a proper tour if you give them a bit of notice, so great for small children!

  • "We had a great stay at The Barn."

It was the perfect social space for our team get-together. It is in a good location with plenty to do in the surrounding area. The Barn is well equipped and we all agreed the beds were very comfy. We especially enjoyed using the wood burner and pellet burner, and it was fun to see Llamas on the doorstep and Peacocks in the garden. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and felt that any issues would be easily dealt with if we needed assistance. We would stay here again if the occasion arose.

Especially the wood-fired stove in the middle of it made it extremely cosy. The owners were very kind, they showed us around, we got to meet all the animals, our food waste was a treat for the pigs... :) Apart from coffee, milk, tea and towels, they also offer homemade food and meat which is great! It was the perfect city escape!
