  • "Rainforest Cottage is right on the edge of The Forest of Dean close to interesting walks and a fascinating Heritage Centre, which is well worth a visit."

The cottage itself is very well equipped and largely very comfortable. The wifi is excellent and there is the luxury of Sky tv, including cinema and sports, as well as an X box! The only slight issue we had was with the heating which is controlled remotely by the manager although when we asked for it to be turned up or down this was done straight away. For older people the access to the bathroom is down two steps and then up two more without a rail and could be hazardous without care. However, the property can be recommended in this very attractive area.

  • "Parking is a problem."

Although the cottage has its own hard standing, getting on and off is a problem. The access road is narrow and one side is used for residents parking and this leaves about 2meters of road available for manoeuvring and if you car is bigger than a Smartcar then its a problem

  • "Excellent location."

Liked the welcome pack. It would have been nice to have control over the heating system. It would have been nice to be provided with oven gloves & a kitchen hand towel.

  • "A very comfortable cottage in a quiet area, with everything we needed and a generous welcome pack."

The only thing that was missing was a clothes airer but we found that one can be delivered on request - they are not kept in the cottage on a permanent basis as unfortunately they keep being stolen. Potential visitors need to be aware that the stairs to the bedrooms and bathroom are quite steep so possibly not suitable for people with limited mobility.

  • "Excellent property, all mod cons so it was like home from home."

The kids loved the whole gaming aspect and my mum loved having the Sky TV. Beds were very comfy and the rear of the cottage was excellent for sitting out in the morning with a coffee and enjoying the fresh morning air and at night with the magical lighting as the sun set. The bathroom was a very good size too.I think you have done a great job and we would love to return sometime in the future as we felt relaxed from start to finish. Many thanks for a wonderful stay.

  • "Loved it. Nice place, good location."

Was great to have the garden with outdoor furniture. The boys LOVED the jacuzzi bath and the Xbox. It's really easy to get into the forest from there. The only problem was it was a bit tight getting onto the drive when neighbours parked opposite sometimes. Not a huge issue thou. Forest of Dean is amazing... a MTB Mecca!

  • "The cottage is lovely, clean and comfortable, the only couple thing that It could do with would be a chest of drawers in each bedroom as theres very little drawer space and a washing line ( maybe a rotary line that could be put away after use), apart from that it was just perfect."

We both really enjoyed our stay there.

  • "We had an absolutely brilliant stay."

The cottage was perfect and absolutely spotless. The area couldn’t have been nicer. Beautiful views of the forest out of the windows and some lovely walks straight from the front door. You also didn’t have to drive out very far to find more places to explore. The welcome hamper was especially appreciated. Can highly recommend this as a good place to stay and will definitely return here next time we plan to stay in the Forest of Dean.

  • "I like that the cottage is really clean and comfortable - decoration is minimal but tastefully done."

It has everything we needed in terms of amenities and facilities. Perfect base location for short drives to the wales border, the Malvern and next door to the Forest of Dean which is just marvellous! Plenty of shops and takeaways nearby. Most importantly, this cottage gives one a feel of being at home.
