  • "We had a great stay at The Little Paddock."

Location is very central. Very well equipped, lovely extra touches, games room for a rainy day, quality toiletries, hot tub towels and slippers, snacks in the kitchen, etc. Would highly recommend and hot tub is a must. Dion was very helpful and always on hand to answer any queries. Thanks for a great week at the bungalow.

Thank you so much for this lovely review. We're delighted you enjoyed your stay at The Little Paddock (and made the most of the hot tub). We hope to welcome you again. Property Owner

  • "A lovely spacious home, big enough for our party of 8."

Hot tub although at an extra cost was a nice addition. Not sure it was checked during our stay as we spent days out. Owner was always on hand via text and responded promptly. Even telling us when next doors field was being cut, very exciting for our grandson when the big tractor turned up. Everything that's needed for a comfortable stay is here. The addition of a nightlight maybe nice as our grandson did have a nightmare and lost his bearings lots of lights on timers, we didn't like to disturb! Yes the road at times is used as a bit of a racetrack to some idiots but you do however have ease of access to Bath, Bristol etc. Good places to eat in Malmesbury too. The bungalow comes with a fabulous games room which was used plenty. A very nice holiday home and perfect for a big family gathering.

Thank you very much for your feedback on The Little Paddock. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the property and the surrounding area. We will be sure to take your suggestion on board about the nightlight! Property Owner

Tastefully decorated with all amenities. The hot tub along with a range of activities such as boule and the indoor games room within the annex kept us fully occupied.

Thank you for providing us with such lovely feedback. It's fantastic to hear that you enjoyed your stay and loved The Little Paddock just as much as we do! We hope to welcome you back the property any time in the future! Property Owner

  • "Totally amazing house, excellent facilities, beautifully furnished."

Only issue is with hot water in showers, even using boost button, showers were never above Luke warm. But this house is truly perfect in every other way and the location is excellent. Would definitely love to go back

Thank you for your feedback with regards to your stay. We will pass on your comments to the owner regarding the shower temperature. Please note this would not be up to our usual high standards, so can only apologise for this. Property Owner

  • "We had a great stay at the Little Paddock, the house was lovely with loads of facilities."

The owners had been very generous with provisions aswell with a lovely welcome pack of a few snacks. The house has was clean and close to Malmesbury (though we drove in rather than walk along the verge). Everything was clean and the house even had some Christmas decorations up to make the break festive.

Thank you for your lovely feedback on The Little Paddock. We are delighted that you had an enjoyable stay and a good time exploring the surrounding Cotswolds. Property Owner

  • "Our family spent Christmas at The Little Paddock."

The accommodation was spacious and one of the cleanest holiday lets we have stayed in. The owners left us a generous welcome basket and were on hand for any problems. As previous occupants have commented, you do need a car as access out of the property on foot is not really viable and there is some noise from road traffic but on the whole a great place to stay and would highly recommend.

We are glad to hear that you had a pleasant holiday whilst staying at The Little Paddock, enjoying the welcome basket as well. We appreciate your feedback. Property Owner

  • "I'd like to have given 5 stars, but held back because:1."

there was the little difficulty of the step in the corridor that we kept tripping over; 2. it was difficult/impossible to get out of the property except by car. Also I didn't realise that we would be so close to a main road (should have checked, I suppose), so traffic noise disturbed me - but not others in the party. I must say, though, that the property is beautifully furnished and equipped. Lovely large garden, and very secure for a dog. Lots of nice outdoor furniture, and indoor games. Good TVs. Nice having separate places people could sit.

Thank you for your feedback with regards to your recent stay at The Little Paddock. We are glad you enjoyed your stay, it's a lovely place to visit with friends and family. We will pass on your comments about the step to the owner. Property Owner

The welcome hamper and fruit bowl was brilliant. The bedrooms were like something from a 5 star hotel, with lots of little extras such as pillow sprays and sllep makes. Each bathroom had its own set of toiletries even toothbrushes! Having 2 seating and dining areas was great. The outside space was amazing too with plenty of seating areas, the hot tub was an added benefit as was the boules lane. We had a fantastic week there.

About the location

Chippenham 11 miles; Cirencester 13 miles; Bath 23 miles; Tetbury 5 miles.

Dating back to the Iron Age and reputedly the oldest borough in England, the pretty market town of Malmesbury is located on a hilltop in the southern Cotswolds. Malmesbury is steeped in history and offers visitors over 400 listed buildings, a 15th century Market Cross, a ruined 7th century Benedictine abbey, an annual carnival and many independent shops, cafes and traditional pubs. Abbey House Gardens, home to 'The Naked Gardeners' can also be found in Malmesbury (Note: The gardeners are clothed during normal opening hours) and the annual Womad Music Festival is close by at Charlton Park. The area offers many country houses, including Rodmarton Manor and Gardens, and Chavenage House, a fine example of a Cotswold manor unchanged for 400 years. Just a short drive away is The Cotswold Water Park, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, covering 40 square miles and offering a wide range of activities, including boating, waterskiing, fishing, cycling, golf and horse riding, plus Bath, Cirencester and Tetbury are all within easy reach and well worth a visit.
