From the working farm to facilities included it was a great property in a unique location I doubt we'd find something better, let alone similar.

We truly enjoyed our stay and a very kind family member stopped by several times to make sure we were well taken care of. This has been one of our favorite rentals from Sykes.

  • "The Old Barn was the perfect location for our family gathering."

The accommodation is beautiful inside and out and very well equipped for all needs. Some of the pans and plates were unfortunately put back dirty, but this has nothing to do with the property and was most likely from the previous tenants who didn’t care how it was left. With being on a working farm there’s lost to see and always something going on. Can definitely recommend.

  • "Our second stay at the Old Barn."

Lovely clean, well equipped property and beautifully decorated for Christmas. The spacious living area is a great space for all the family to be together. The children loved playing football, going in the Wendy house and seeing the cows every day. Very helpful owners.

  • "The barn conversion was perfect accomodation for the whole family especially our young grandchildren."

Inside there was plenty of space in the open plan downstairs, a well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, and a toy box including a selection of games and jigsaws. Outside there was a Wendy House, some footballs for them to kick into goals on a grass area and a few inquisitive farm animals to observe. The grounds were well kept and the beds comfortable. We could park our cars close to the house. The location was convenient for Oxford and we managed the turn onto the A40 quite easily. We had a very relaxing stay and highly recommend this lovely house.

Beautiful, modern cottage in farm surroundings. Young kids (4 & 2yrs) loved having games, toys, football pitch, Wendy house and cows to play with!). The guys from the farm (assume owners) were really helpful and made us very welcome.

The whole place was spotless and everything we needed was there. The children loved seeing the cows every day and my fears that they might wake us up really early were unfounded. The owners live in the adjacent house and were very friendly and helpful. A great, comfortable base from which to visit Oxford and the Cotswolds.

  • "We had a great stay at the Old Barn."

We were a group of 4 adults and 3 children. The barn is stunning. It really has the wow factor. As you drive in you are greeted by a barn full of cows! There is large parking area, grand entrance, with huge open space plan. With high ceilings I thought it might get cold but the temperature was perfect, there is under floor heating throughout keeping it toasty warm. We wanted to use the wood burner more but only used it once. It’s so cosy. Up to date kitchen with all the things you would need. I would have liked better quality pans. A few dishwasher tabs but bring some of your own if staying longer. Beds are comfortable, rooms a good size. It’s a short drive from Oxford. We did the park and ride with ease. Also near Witney, nice to take a stroll around. You do have to get in the car to go anywhere. I’m sure in the summer it’s even nicer with a grass area, patio and BBQ. There is washing machine if needed. Overall a very pleasant stay and would recommend.

Comfortable bedrooms with en-suites. A very well equipped kitchen and large dining table where we could all sit for breakfast and an evening meal. The log burner is a treat on a cold evening. The working farm setting and gardens provide lovely views. A perfect base for taking the park and ride into Oxford City centre and visiting the various Colleges and the fantastic Ashmolean Museum.
