  • "The property was cold, we did go on one of the coldest weeks of the year, radiators on entering the property were set at 19 degrees, the owner changed this to 21 but this was then locked so we couldn’t increase it, so we were sat with blankets wrapped around us at night, as well as the log burner on, The water for the showers wasn’t warm either, other taps were ok, just the showers, the owner did say it was due to the hard water and he had someone going in to look at this after we left."

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback on Stow Cottage Barn, we apologise for the issues you encountered. The owner would have increased the temperature if you would have made him aware that you were still cold. The plumber has been to the property and the showers are now in fully working order. We hope you still enjoyed your trip to the Cotswolds and will return in the future. Manor Cottages Property Owner

  • "Another lovely stay at Stow Barn."

Thanks to Lulu for the excellent housekeeping, and to Tom for dealing so quickly with the noisy guests next door. Such a shame about the unseasonably wet weather which made us leave a day early to avoid heavy rain and bad motorway conditions on our return to Scotland.

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed your stay (despite the rain) and hope that you can return again when the sun shines. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

  • "This cottage is extremely well furnished with excellent linen on the beds plus high quality curtains, rugs, crockery and cooking equipment."

There is a lovely outdoor space to sit at the table and have a bbq-sadly for us the weather wasn't appropriate for this. The bedrooms are extremely spacious. Bathrooms well appointed though we would have liked to have the underfloor heating on as the week was quite chilly. The heating system was set on 19 degrees so the house was chilly in the morning but warmed up in the day. The fire was amazing --we lit it every night and were so pleased with the availability of logs. The top floor bedroom hasn't a door to the stairs so that needs to be pointed out as one of our number took a tumble. The Cottage is in a beautiful village and near so many lovely places. We found lots of walks and visited Daylesford Organics and walked through the estate, plus we were only 2 miles from Clarksons Farm. We recommend Batsford Arboretum, garden centre and fantastic cafe. One of our favourite walks walks from Naunton to Guiting Power village and cafe and back--even though it was pouring with rain. A LOvely comfortable house, beautiful villages and wonderful scenery made a brilliant holiday for us.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments for Stow Cottage Barn and we are pleased to hear you had a brilliant holiday. We agree the cottage is extremely well furnished and has high quality furnishings throughout. We are sorry to hear you found the house chilly in the mornings, the heating can be individually controlled, and we wish you had contacted, and we would have increased the temperature for you. However, we are glad you enjoyed the log burner with the unlimited log supply. Unfortunately, due to building regulations we are unable to have a door on the top floor bedroom, we appreciate your feedback and will look into making this clearer for future guests. We hope to welcome you back to the Cotswolds soon. Manor Cottages. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely week at Stow Cottage Barn."

The house was a great size for us all, and it was well equipped with what we needed for the week. It was clean and perfectly placed within the beautiful village of Churchill. The only thing which would have made our stay even more perfect would have been more powerful showers, as the water pressure was very low. Many Thanks & we won't hesitate to use Character Cottages again for future bookings.

  • "Beautiful and very peaceful barn in a lovely location."

It's the 1st time we've booked via Sykes and this barn was gorgeous. We felt very spoilt. For anyone wondering whether to book - the barn has heated floors which are wonderful in bathrooms, ViSpring beds, White Co bedding, Broste crockery and an amazing log burner. It wasn't the right time of year for the bbq or to enjoy the garden. The triffid like tree in the courtyard had us baffled! Lots of places to explore, great food at the Maytime in Astall, Kingham Plough and Daylesford.

Fabulous enjoyed the barn and loved the location. Amazing you had such a great time and explored the surrounding area. Thank you for the feedback. Best Wishes Manor Cottages. Property Owner
