"A modern spacious bungalow with all mod cons."
Our host gave us a very friendly welcome. We were comfortable and warm and found everything easy to use. Nice views of the sea and only a short walk (5 Mins) from the high street, so in a very good position. Very minor issues: a few hooks on the backs of doors would be useful; as would having somewhere under cover to park our bikes; fortunately we brought bike covers with us. Other than that, it was a great place to stay

"Had a brilliant stay."
Susie and Michael, the owners, live next door but don't bother you. They left a lovely breakfast pack on arrival. The cottage has everything you need and is lovely and spacious with a great view of the Atlantic from the garden. The sunsets were fabulous. A great base to explore from..mountains to beaches and much more. Great pubs and shops just up the road. It's a wonderful place.

"Ideal location, lovely cottage well equipped."
Great hosts, contactable and informative. Tha only suggested improvement would be an electric shower over the bath. Would highly recommend a stay at this property.
-
"Clean, comfortable, cosy and well equipped cottage in fairly quiet location but handy for town facilities."
Unobtrusive but hospitable hosts. Slightly misleading post as we had impression from photos that outlook was directly on to the seafront rather than adjacent to other properties. Photo more accurately displaying exact location would be helpful.

"We were delighted with the property."
It is very spacious and the cleanliness is of a very high standard. Suzie and Michael welcomed us and showed us how eveything worked They left us to our own devices, but were on hand should we have needed them. The cottage is very close to all amenities. We can highly recommend the Waterfront hotel only five minutes drive away. Great views and staff with prices only slightly more than the local pubs.

"Loved our stay at this property - very clean, comfortable and well equipped."
The weather was mostly dry but fairly chilly but we still managed to have some lovely days out exploring. The house has absolutely everything you need for a comfortable stay and Susie and her husband are the best hosts ever - so friendly and helpful for us 2 old biddies! I loved the fact that there is no restriction on towels - you can just help yourself and no extra charge for the heating on those chilly evenings. Would not hesitate to recommend this property

"We had a very relaxing holiday in this very pretty and comfortable cottage by the sea."
Ideally situated for the town and amenities. We were made to feel very welcome by our hosts and by the people we met on our travels.

"Without a doubt this was the best holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in, the photos don't do it justice."
Susie and Michael are wonderful hosts and provided us with a list of excellent restaurants in the area. We would love to own Quay Road Cottage.

"The house is spacious and bright with all the facilities and comforts of home."
It's only a few minutes walk into Dungloe and it's a really peaceful spot. Susie and her husband couldn't have been more helpful when I had an unexpected issue with my car.

"Excellent stay in a beautiful house with all comforts of home"

"I would like to thank Susan and Michael for the use of their cottage , everything was provided for our use , and the views from the back of the cottage were fantastic, 5 minutes walk to the town centre and there is a fantastic butcher on the main St, there's plenty places to drive to scenery on the island is amazing so where we stayed at Quay cottage was a great base."

"The cottage was spotlessly clean and tidy and the owners had left us a package of breakfast items in the refrigerator, which was a nice touch."
The cottage is in a prime location for the village. The village was lovely and friendly with more shops than we expected. The pubs are a credit to the village, very friendly and welcoming. The owners of the property obviously live next door. It was a shame we did not meet them to have a chat, that would have been nice. I would suggest a little tighten on bathroom taps, they are a tad loose and children staying there might struggle with them. It was our honeymoon and our first time to Ireland. So glad we chose to go there it is a beautiful country with such wonderful people. We hope to go back sometime.

"Superb cottage in a great location for exploring beautiful Donegal."
Comfy, quiet and spacious. Few minutes walk to pubs and cafes. Spotless and well equipped.

"We really enjoyed our stay."
The cottage was perfect for us. Very cosy and comfortable with everything you need for a week. The location is also great.
-
"This cottage provided everything required for an excellent holiday experience."
It is beautifully situated on the edge of the sea with easy access to the village and all the beauty spots of Donegal both north and south. The house is very comfortable and has a well equipped kitchen and comfortable sitting room. We were delighted that the owners had installed WiFi by the time we arrived. The owners were very helpful and made us feel most welcome. We can highly recommend Quay Cottage. Bríd

"This cottage has a first class location with exceptional views also good for shops, pubs touring etc."
The cottage is very spacious but could do with a bit TLC is some bits. The Central light in the front bedroom did not work. The hot tap in the ensuite was loose and the shower lacked power. There was no bath mat in the bath in the bathroom and was very slippy when showering. The kitchen was well equipped but some of the dishes had chips on them. Some hooks to hang towels would be useful. Apart from the above we had a good holiday

"Quay cottage is in a perfect location beside the town."
Beautiful views from the back garden & surrounding area. The owners made us feel very welcome. We hope to return someday
-
"A lovely comfortable cottage."
Only drawback is no Wi-Fi which was a problem with a 12 and a 7 year old in a very wet Donegal. We were quite happy!
-
"Brilliant house very clean excellent location all facilities in excellent order"
-
"First class."
Exceptionally well equipped and nicely furnished house. Spacious and comfortable. We have rented a lot of houses in different parts of Ireland and Quay cottage is the best equipped and most homely we have been to. Welcome pack of eggs bacon etc. Most rentals only have the bare essentials so Quay Cottage is definitely one to recommend to family and friends. Many thanks.
-
"Well equipped property in a good location, fairly central on the west coastline of Donegal."
Owners very friendly and helpful. Janet and Fulton

"Quay Road Cottage is a delightful spacious home with everything you need for a comfortable stay."
The cottage was spotlessly clean and the owners helpful but not intrusive. The views over the bay from the front garden are glorious and the pubs and restaurants only a few minutes walk away.
-
"We had the BEST time away as a family after what’s been a very strange year."

"The cottage was excellent, very comfortable, all the facilities and equipment required."
Very helpful owners. Only a couple of minutes walk into the village, Bay View Inn has great food. Good day out on Aranmore Island, and walking to the cliffs at Slieve League.

"Fabulous cottage, with all home comforts, and wonderful location - highly recommend it!"
-
"This is a lovely house in a very pleasant location a few yards from the sea."
It is two minutes walk from the town and its choice of bars, shops and restaurants. There is a hotel also within 10 -15 minutes walking distance. The house itself is spotless with every amenity for self catering and the owners are welcoming and more than willing to share their local knowledge of the area and places of interest. John (Limerick)

"Excellent premises location."
A bit close to owner's house for privacy. House stocked with copious amounts of Edwardian delph. At least 30 glasses but not tone wine glass.Nice gesture welcome pack of processed meats that we don't use.Can this be the only Sykes Cottage with 4 ticks where the landlord doesn't provide a hairdryer? There was a broken one in the drawer which the owner said was left by a previous occupant but he didn't supply one. Had to purchase a hairdryer . Could have brought our own had we known. Wifi only available in the corner of an end bedroom. This could be a 9.9 premises if these niggles were ironed out and the landlord developed better inter-personal skills.

"This house is the best house we have ever stayed in and is a credit to the lovely owners,"
-
"My friend and I were amazed at the Cottage, the photographs don't do it justice."
Suzie and Michael provide comfort and all facilities; and even kindly provide a Breakfast Pack and Scones on arrival. We had a wonderful time, and coming back to the comfort of the cottage in the late afternoon, to relax in the Garden overlooking the Bay was the icing on the cake.

"Reason said wouldn't return has nothing whatever to do with our experience or satisfaction with any aspect of our holiday."
Rather, because there is so much of Ireland we haven't seen yet, we would prefer to visit somewhere new next time.
-
"A very warm welcome from Susie and Michael, as well as substantial provisions in the fridge for a hearty irish breakfast, and scones and jam."
A very clean comfortable stay. Good centre to explore from.

"The owners lived next door and they were very helpful."
We love seaside holidays and the cottage was next to the sea. It had excellent views especially early morning and evenings when the sun set. The surrounding area had numerous beaches, many of which were exceptional. Driving in this locality was a pleasure as the main roads were good, there was little traffic and the scenery was great. The shops in Dungloe were very convenient and there was a good choice of food for our self catering holiday. We were very lucky with the weather as warm, sunny days are essential for the type of holiday we required.
