  • "This is a really lovely old house in a beautiful location."

The silence in the mornings and evenings is exceptional. Nearby Lough Melvin is beautiful, as is the whole area. Highly recommended.

  • "Inside the house was perfect."

Although the interior could use some redecoration it was the outside that was a huge disappointment! The key safe did not work correctly thus upon arrival we had to make several frantic phone calls to finally gain entry. The garden was a disgrace patio area hadn't been cleaned in years and the grass was waist high rendering the outside unusable. overall 7/10 because despite the negatives the location and interior was great

Lots of little touches that make your stay like a home from home. A fabulous welcome book to explain all about the cottage and it's heritage whilst answering any questions that you may have. A memorable Christmas stay which we hope to repeat soon! Thank You!

  • "For a family of 4 with a dog, this is a great cottage."

Plenty of space, a large dog drying area and a real fire to relax in front of with a nice whiskey. There are lots a nice touches to this cottage. Hi-vis vests are provided to use when dog walking, there were logs for the fire, milk in the fridge and a few staples in the cupboards to get you started. We would certainly stay here again, it was comfortable and very good value for money. The owner is very helpful if there are any issues.

Thank you so much for your feedback and your kind words. I am so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with your family and four legged friend Property Owner

  • "Very comfortable cottage."

A few minor details were sorted when notified. The biggest problem to us was the outside area. Very overgrown garden area and too many weeds. Not the most pleasant area to sit outside when the sun decided to come out. Just a little more attention to detail and we would have given a better score. Family lovely to deal with and went out of their way to meet up with me when my husband had left his wallet in the house. Lovely little village and folk very friendly.

Thank you so much for your feedback, I understand your points of view, some of which are already in the process of being improved. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay over all. Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful stay."

Our booking was very short notice and we were still greeted with a lovely desert and welcome drink! We arrived in the dark of night so the key lock box was a wonderful feature. The kitchen became our home for the holiday as it was so comfortable with a dining table and the sofa set. We are a card game and board game family - this was a perfect setting! The central heating was so efficient the kitchen range was sufficient warmth to heat the whole home and we turned off the radiators in the lounge and 2 of the bedrooms. The fact that our pet dog Barron was welcomed - Given our late booking the grass area had not been trimmed for us but as we went daily to the Loch so this was no problem at all!

Thank you ever so much for your lovely comments and I'm so glad that you found Sarah Magees so enjoyable as a family. It would be lovely to welcome you back some time Yours as always Michelle Property Owner
