  • "We had a fantastic stay in Clodagh's cottage."

Check in was a breeze, the house was spotless and very relaxing with lots of space inside and out for the kids. We all slept really well in the comfortable beds and we had a great week. There was a beautiful welcome pack left for us with a card and detailed information book. The owners couldn't have been nicer when I texted to say we were checked in, and even texted during the week to make sure we were ok. We absolutely loved our stay and would love to come back in the future!

  • "The property is in a lovely position and overall was good, but the bed in double room was appalling we had to move into single bedded room."

The kitchen could do with more utensils as we only just managed with 4 people. The owner is aware and said this will be looked at. Over all we still enjoyed our stay.

Hi Elaine, I did contact you to see if everything was ok for you during your stay and I appreciated you letting me know your issues , I promised you that i would check out the bed at changeover on Saturday and offered utensils to you ,we got both sorted on Saturday as promised ,so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay, clodagh Property Owner

The owners are very pleasant people and eager that we have everything we needed for our stay. They were always available to us if we had any queries or issues no matter how trivial. I would highly recommend a stay at Clodagh’s Cottage. Location is excellent for touring Sligo and all conveniences within walking distance. Dee

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Clodagh's cottage in County Sligo."

The hosts provided us with a welcome package when we arrived. They also sorted a flat tyre over the Bank Holiday weekend which was a great relief. The house was ideal for our needs and in a very good location for touring Sligo. We went to the beaches at Mullaghmore, Rosses Point and Strandhill. We visited Glencar waterfall and walked alpacas, a new attraction there, to name but a few. I would highly recommend staying at Clodagh's cottage.

  • "In this cottage you can not control the heating it done from the owners it a joke ."

It tells you it’s got a log fire but not like all the other place in Ireland we have stayed in no logs ,had a problem with hot water running out . Had a problem with oven not heating up just like the Iron you can put your hand on it it was just worm ,like bungalow ,it got so cool after 5pm at night we left to come home Thursday night ,and not on the Saturday as planed , sorry to say never again ,

Dear Mr Pearsey, Thank you for your feedback. I am upset to think you had such a negative experience on what was such a beautiful sunny week in Sligo . You contacted me at 07.23am on the morning after you arrived to say you had run out of hot water very quickly and asked me to keep the water on constantly . I apologised and agreed to put the hot water on for you 24/7 and explained there was also a second electric shower that had hot water 24/7 also. I contacted you the next day to see if the issue had resolved and you said it had. The heating is regulated at 21 degrees between 06.30 and 22.00 , so it never goes below 21 degrees between those times and I left my number for you to text me if you wished me to change this, up or down . To supplement this there is an electric fire in the kitchen and also an open fire in the sitting room as described in the brief. I leave a starter pack for the fire for each guests, of fire logs ,kindle sticks ,wood logs which I had all set up in the fireplace for you, it just needed a match to light it , which were there also and a spare starter log in the fire bucket ,however it appears perhaps you didn't notice the fire all set up ,as it wasn't lit during your booking time. After your review I checked the Iron ,which is brand new and it was working perfectly both in steam mode and without steam .I also checked the oven on every setting grill, fan, top, bottom etc and all settings were working perfectly . The instruction manuals for all appliances are there for your guidance in the folder I left for you. You texted to tell me you were leaving Friday morning a day early, I asked you if everything was ok for you and thanked you and wished you a safe journey home . You never answered me. Had you told me about these issues I have absolutely no doubt I would have done my very very best to sort everything for you and they could have been rectified. Thank you for staying with us Regards Clodagh Callaghan Property Owner
