  • "We loved our stay at the Beach Road cottage."

It was warm and cosy for a winter break, very clean, well equipped and well presented. The goodies you left were very welcoming and the dogs loved the treats almost as much as the beach! We will return. :-)

  • "Dishwasher had leaked over the floor when we arrived and wasn’t working."

.floorboards creaked in bedroom every time you walked on them, beds uncomfortable, fire wouldn’t light, fan in bathroom leaked, shrubs at the front steps overgrown so wet you when you walked past.

We really appreciate you taking the time to provide us with feedback on you stay at Beach Road House. In response to the points you have raised we have fixed the issues with the dishwasher, fire and bathroom fan, we have also changed our cleaning and maintenance provider. We are sorry that you had issues during your stay and would love to see you again at some point in the future, now that we have made improvements. Property Owner

  • "Beach Road House makes for a great stay in a fabulous location."

Unfortunatley the property is let down by inferior cleaning and upkeep: leaking dishwasher, drinking glasses so smeared had to be washed before use, dirty windows, overgrown front hedges, patio area unswept. The management agency are clearly not inspecting the property. However, if improvements are made I would consider rebooking.

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased that you feel the property makes for a great stay and enjoyed its fabulous location. We have taken your suggestions on board and have changed our cleaning and maintenance provider and believe that going forward the property will get the care and attention to its upkeep that guests deserve. We would love to have you back in the future. Property Owner

  • "Toilet would not flush properly."

Leaking fan above toilet when it rains. Shrubs need cutting back, especially down the steps as its not nice walking under them when it rains. Also being a landscaper, the rope is a hazard down the steps, needs a solid rail to hold.

  • "Nice enough cottage."

Could do with some outdoor tidying up, bushes cutting back and piles of leaves and litter moving. All mentioned in other reviews. The main bedroom has skylights with no blinds. At sun rise the room is flooded with light so not much chance of a lie in during the summer. Oddly we were unable to turn down the bathroom towel rail it was constandly red hot and had to keep the window open. Also a bit dangerous for young kids. Maybe it was just us unable to work the controls out. Overall a pleasant stay in a great location. Recommend trying paddle boarding at Hele Bay Adventures.

  • "We loved Beach Road House and would highly recommend it."

Owner was helpful when we had an issue. Few small issues: cutlery was cheap and broke easily. Cleaners need to move sofas and clean under - lots of dog hair.

  • "Generally good but a bit low on basics, only one toilet roll, no kitchen roll, no info on recycling/ rubbish and poor flush on toilet."

  • "Fantastic location and cottage."

Modern and upto date we loved it even with the really bad weather. If you guys could add a full sized ironing board, oven mit and a undamaged mop it would be perfect. We will visit again so thanks for the chance.

Thank you for your feedback, we are glad to hear you had a lovely stay at Beach Road House. We will be looking to replace the items you have mentioned and hope to see you back soon. Property Owner
