"The lodge is lovely it’s exactly like the photos online, however there are little things that really effected our stay."
No proper blinds in the bedroom - there is a Sky light in the main bedroom and no blind with it we found ourselves waking up every day at 4am due to the bedroom just being so light, when being away I don’t appreciate being awake when the sun rises. Cold hot tub - hot tub states the temperature can’t be changed there is no temperature gauge to change it on the hot tub anyway. In leaflets it stated it was 35-38 degrees…. It definitely isn’t as soon as we got in we couldn’t be in for longer than 5 minutes even tho it was 27 degrees outside it was just to cold. Mattress in main bedroom - there is a big yellow stain on the main bedroom mattress it doesn’t take a genius to work out what this is….. Dishwasher - there is a dish washer but it smells of mould as soon as you open it I even put it on a spin with nothing in and still smelt so foul. I tried to report all of this on my stay but me and my partner had no signal to call, we even tried to find someone on site nobody would help we went to the bar and we was told we need to call but how can you call if there’s no signal. There isn’t a reception or anything we saw no staff walking round the whole time. We paid £1053 to stay here and it definitely isn’t up to the standard to warrant paying over 1k! I’m so disappointed as these things could have been sorted but unfortunately the upkeep of the lodge isn’t maintained.

"Was not able to stay in our original booked property due to the hot tub not working."
Offered 3 other lodges which were not of the same standard or price as originally booked. Was left waiting outside the property as the code for the key lock was not sent in time. One of the French doors to the decking was smashed which was not told to us when choosing it as an alternative. There were no lights in or around the hot tub working which made it dangerous getting in and out at night. There was no blind on the sky light in the bedroom meaning we were awake from 5am with the light. Have received no compensation when we said we would and no one has responded to my emails.

"We had a great time."
The lodge was perfect for our first family getaway with a 3 month old with parking right outside and plenty of space indoor and outdoor. Facilities and cleanliness were spot on. The only negative we had was that the velux window in the main bedroom didn't have blinds and so during the heatwave in June meant the bedroom was very light.

"We had a lovely time at 10 stone rush valley it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay so clean and the hot tub was fab."
The location of the site was great for days out and we had a lovely breakfast in the old mill restaurant we will definitely be back for more holidays
Dear Shirley, that is lovely to read - thank you! We are located in a wonderful place to experience all the gems that Cornwall has to offer whilst being emerged in the tranquillity of nature. "Lodge was well furnished and decorated."
Everything was sparkling clean and lovely and modern. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We liked that the lodges were well spaced away from each other so gave good privacy and lovely outlooks. It would benefit from a towel hook by the shower door in the en suite to the main bedroom to grab your towel easily and a tray in the shower to place shampoo/soap/gel etc
Dear Charles, Thank you so much for such a lovely review! We are thrilled you loved the lodge so much. Thank you for the tip about the hook - we will pass this on and the tip about the tray. We hope you will come and visit us again soon. Kind regards, Gemma - Guest Services, Charteroak Property Owner

"This property was excellent, in a beautiful location, very quiet and exceptionally clean."
The beds were lovely and comfortable and the hot tub was very relaxing. You could not see another lodge from the verandah and they were all spaced out around several lakes. The restaurant and bar were placed in the best location on the site and the rception staff were extremely helpful and friendly - I will definately be returning.
Dear Karen, Thank you so much for the lovely feedback. We are so lucky to be in such a peaceful and private valley, surrounded by nature and tranquillity! We hope you will return and stay again son! Kind regards, Gemma - Charteroak Guest Services Property Owner

Super clean and comfortable interior. Excellent communication from the site staff. Great bar and good food on site (limited opening in winter). In a good area, lots of walks to be had and bay hopping. Would highly recommend.

"Great holiday."
Lodge and bedding clean. Will return. Just a few points to be rectified. Needs more knives forks spoons when four people occupying. Rad in twin room TRV not working. Both showers leaking and need servicing. Two gas rings not working correctly. Needs rubber mats for both bathrooms as very slippery in bath and shower. Hot tub suitable for two. The lodge is furnished well. Outside furniture comfortable. Steve

"We had a lovely stay and would come back again."
It would be good to have something’s to do for children in the future, incase you want to have a chill day at the lakes. A wooden park or forest trail. But our kids and ourselves loved it.
I am so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at 10 Stonerush Valley Rudi, however I am sorry that you we did not have the facilities you required for your children. If you do come back to see us again, pop into reception and one of the team would be happy to direct you to local facilities that may be attractive to you! LOOE
Polperro 5 miles.
Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe. You can also catch the river taxi between East and West Looe. East Looe has narrow cobbled streets, twisting alleyways and plenty of tourist shops, whilst West Looe has a lovely outlook across the harbour. Looe’s viewpoint, Banjo Pier, can be reached from the quay and is a great spot to watch the returning fishing trawlers and look across the bay to Looe Island, which can be walked to occasionally at very low tides. The sandy Looe beach adjoins the pier and is very popular with families because of its safe shallow swimming and vast expanse of sand. There is also a great rock pool area at Hannafore that children will love. West Looe has a Heritage Centre that recently opened in the Old Sardine Factory with a climbing wall and a cafe and the delightful Kilminorth Woods have way marked walks through the majestic oak wood, rich in plant, insect and bird life. Apart from beach activities in this part of south east Cornwall, there are many mining remains on Bodmin Moor and in the Tamar Valley and much of the mining landscape has World Heritage status. This area of Cornwall has inspired writers, such as Daphne du Maurier and much of Bodmin Moor has inspired legends linked with King Arthur. There is much to explore in this beautiful part of Cornwall.
