All good thank you, lovely house , a bit noisy in the mornings with the traffic but not enough to keep me from staying there again, everyone moaned about having to strip the beds before we left (4 men )

We are so pleased you had a lovely stay in our cottage. Sorry that you had to strip the beds, but it's part of housekeeping procedures I'm afraid! Hope to see you back again soon! Property Owner

  • "We have been visiting Lyme for over 40 years and this is the best property we have ever stayed in."

It was unfortunately very noisy on the Saturday night due to a reggae event at the theatre with people shouting and singing outside until nearly 2am which we have never encountered in Lyme before.

We are so pleased to hear that The Little Rose is the best property in Lyme you have stayed in, thank you for your very kind feedback! But very sorry to hear of the late noise from the party at the theatre, which we haven't encountered before and is not usual for a Saturday night in Lyme, so this is a shame. Property Owner

  • "Our party of seven aged 8 - 64 and the dog had a wonderful stay at The Little Rose over Easter, whilst also celebrating a 40th birthday."

The welcome pack was lovely and much appreciated. The cottage is vey spacious inside, the beds are really comfy and the kitchen extremely well equipped. Amazing attention to detail was felt throughout the cottage and every room very tastefully decorated and furnished. The beach is a two minute stroll away, as are the main shops in Broad Street and the lovely little ones hidden away on the side streets. Would love to to come back

We're so pleased to hear your lovely comments about our cottage, and we are so glad that you had a wonderful, comfortable time and enjoyed celebrating your special birthday! We look forward to welcoming you and the family again in the future. Property Owner

We've stayed in several places in Lyme over the years but have never been so close to the seafront - just magical! Would have loved to have stayed longer but diaries didn't work out, hopefully next time!

  • "Lovely place, great for 5 adults and 3 children (5,7 &13)."

Super comfy beds (I'd love to know what mattresses you have!). Can't fault the property at all and would return. Parking in Lyme is always tricky & due to the property being right on the road, unloading and loading is tricky but this is the only negative and would not put me off booking again.

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay in our cottage and that you you can't fault the property! Thank you for your feedback, and we hope you will return soon. Property Owner

  • "We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Rose."

Comfy beds, very well equipped, lovely bathrooms. We have stayed at Lyme Regis or nearby for quite a few years and this was our favourite place so far, amazing location for the convenience of town, pubs and sea front. It it wasn't already booked, we were going to book again for Easter hols! I'm sure we will be back though. Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful house.

  • "The property is lovely, and in a fantastic location!"

However, we really struggled with the fact it was between the traffic lights in the village on arrival day and think this could definitely be made clearer in the booking. It wouldn't put us off staying there but there is literally nowhere to stop your car, drop bags and grab the parking permit so you need to be a bit more prepared for that. Apart from that the cottage was lovely, there was so much space for 7 of us and the location is so convenient. A beautiful property.

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay in our cottage, and that you appreciated the location, and how lovely it is to have the beach, shops, restaurants and all amenities on your doorstep. Lyme Bay Holidays email guidance to all guests prior to arrival, which advises to pull up in a nearby street (20 metres from house) unload luggage, collect the parking permit from within the cottage, and park in the car park (5 minute walk from cottage) so I'm sorry if you missed this prior to your arrival. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope you will return soon. Property Owner

  • "The Little Rose is beautiful, and the owners have clearly thought of everything."

It is stylishly decorated throughout, a real home from home. This has been a nostalgic return to Lyme Regis for us and we have loved every minute. We have had coffee and cake, or lunch, or supper, in the following: Lyme Bay, Tom’s, Swim, Bell Cliff and The Harbour Inn. The latter was exquisite: both for Sunday Roast and supper one evening. The weather has been very kind and we have enjoyed mooching around the shops and watching the sea. Thank you!

  • "Our first holiday away with our 22-month granddaughter and family."

They chose the cottage, couldn’t have been a better choice. Everything so thoughtfully worked out. We very much appreciated the ‘welcome hamper’. All high spec beautiful bathrooms and comfortable beds & linen. Home from Home. Great place to stay. Our granddaughter loved walking (ambling) along the sea front and played very happily in the sand with her bucket and spade. We found the sea air and unusually mild weather very restorative, and we all slept well…. Even the toddler. The dog Lilly had a wonderful time too. Once we had negotiated the low ceilings and doorways (we’re a tall family!) and had a few bumped heads we were fine. Looking forward to coming back very soon.

  • "What a perfectly organised and delightful place the Little Rose is- the publicity pictures were excellent but even so, we were surprised and enchanted on first opening the front door."

Everything thought of. We are a party of seven (from 9 to 89) and all of us loved our weekend stay. We leave with such regret.

  • "A really lovely stay in this beautiful cottage."

In the centre of Lyme Regis, close to practically everything. Yes, a little bit of road noise, but it really wasn’t a problem. My parents took the back bedroom and didn’t hear a thing. Car parking a 5 minute walk away; unloading/loading a little stressful with two small children, but we loved leaving the car and not driving for the week, so it was well worth it. Cottage has everything you need, with a well equipped kitchen, games etc. and a nice welcome hamper of local goodies. Beds were dreamy comfy with gorgeous linen. Stairs not a problem for my 3yr old. Dog friendly, despite the private garden being a few steps from the back door. The large fridge/freezer wasn’t working for our stay, but we were given a replacement - unfortunately not enough space inside for our Ocado delivery, and did take up valuable floor space just inside the door. Thank you so much for a great stay, we had a perfect week

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay in our cottage, and that you appreciated the convenience of how lovely it is to have the beach, sea front and all amenities on your doorstep. We always took our young children to Lyme, and loved leaving the car parked for a week and exploring on foot, so it's lovely to hear you had a great time. We are sorry that the fridge freezer had a problem and you had to have the temporary stand-in, it's booked for repair next week. Thank you for your very kind comments. Property Owner

  • "A very nice, newly renovated cottage with a central location which is very convenient for everything that Lyme has to offer."

The accommodation has 4 good bedrooms and a decent size table for all to sit at. It is situated on the main thoroughfare in Lyme and, whilst this did not bother us, it might be a problem for light sleepers. The letting agency (Lyme Bay Holidays) is now owned by Sykes Cottages and this has resulted in a regrettable reduction in service level. Not only do they charge more for booking but also when there is a problem, it is almost impossible to contact them to report it without an unnecessary degree of security checks, which meant that we gave up trying. This is very disappointing after the service we have been used to for the last 10 years from LBH and I think that Sykes really need to reconsider their approach to their guests.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback following your stay at The Little Rose. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and the convenient location of the property. We are sorry to read your comments about Sykes Cottages we, here at Lyme Bay Holidays are the same team as we always have been and really do strive to ensure you have a pleasurable holiday. We are required to complete security checks to ensure we are speaking to the correct person; this is only to keep your data safe and not to burden you. We do apologise if this was inconvenient to you, we are always here to support and help you, especially when you are a guest in residence enjoying your break. We do hope to welcome you back again soon. Team LBH Property Owner

  • "Lovely property in a great location to the town and beaches."

Spotlessly clean and with lots of plates, cups etc. There was no shortage of cooking utensils or equipment to cook with. The downside would be the property being on a very busy road which made it difficult to sleep at night and early morning due to the traffic noise. I understand its a 17th century property but the low doors and beams did mean a few head bumps and bruises as my son and I are over six foot tall. Having said all that because of the great weather we didn’t need to stay in the property much.

We are so pleased that you found the house well equipped, spotlessly clean and that you loved the location, we love it too! The cottage is so close to the beach and town (within 50 yards) which means it is on a road, but the traffic passes through slowly in single file due to traffic light control and dies right down at night. With a 17th century property you will always find a few lower beams, but my husband is 6 foot tall and doesn't have a problem. We are glad you enjoyed your stay in our special place and we hope you will return. Property Owner
