"We spent a lovely week at Marnie’s Rest."
The chalet was lovely and completely suited all our needs. This was our second stay in Lyme Regis and this particular accommodation was better for us, as it was close to the beach, shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend a stay here. The only downside was it was very tight for parking and very difficult to get in and out, especially when all the chalets were occupied. However, this didn’t spoil our week away.

"We had a fabulous week at Marnies rest helped by the beautiful weather, Extremely well appointed kitchen and very nice to have a front and back terrace."
The washing machine and great facilities were an added bonus! We would love to come again!!

"He parking outside was impossible for us, because parallel parking couldn’t be under taken with other cars parles either side."
An alternative parking instruction would be useful. The carpet in the lounge needs a feel clean.

"Unfortunately the beds are terrible especially the mattress in the twin room."
I did complain after the first night and at the office in person but got no help. The mattress springs could be felt sticking into you and the mattress squashed completely down to the metal frame and was noisy. It was unbearable, very poor quality and ruined any rest that I was hoping for. The place is situated on a very steep hill with difficult parking which wasn't explained, again I rang the office but got no help as they didn't know the parking arrangements they said. There could have easily been a dishwasher fitted into the kitchen but there was just a water heater which wasn't instant to wash up, all the crockery is in boxes there are no cupboards and some of it was not clean, this is not exactly modern. The rubbish rules are ridiculous as you have to carry your bin bags down to the large bins near the seafront this is a long way up and down a hill I had to get someone else to do this for me as I cannot lift or carry heavy bags from a weeks rubbish. Overall it wasn't comfortable, there was a musty smell in the property it's not got modern enough equipment in it and for nearly £1000 there's to many rules for example stripping the beds putting it in bags removing carrying rubbish etc this doesn't happen in a hotel ! I am disappointed with my stay I am not rested because of the terrible bed I felt like I was doing the housekeepers job and my £1000 was not well spent. I did not receive any help from any booking agent.

"We had a lovely stay at Marnie's Rest and had lots of fun."
We had everything we needed and loved being so close to the sea. We had a brilliant time in Lyme Regis - fossil hunting, playing on the beach, visiting the Aquarium & museum and eating lots of yummy food & ice cream. Thank you!

Recycling had to be carried down a flight of steps to boat yard and you had to find a key to open bins so we took all our recycling home as we have adequate services to collect it

"What a beautiful property!"
Very nice touches, furnishing and everything you'd need to make this a comfortable stay. Literally a minute from The Cobb and only a little further to pubs, eateries and the town.
