"What a lovely place to visit and stay."
The cottage was lovely and spacious and well equipped with everything we needed, and the hot tub was ready for us to use upon arrival. The views are stunning and it was a very peaceful and great place to relax and unwind. The owners (Angela & John) were very friendly and welcoming and made sure that guests privacy wasn't disturbed when they fed the animals and went about the farm. There are lots of sheep and four donkeys which Angela was more than happy to let me go and meet, which i really enjoyed. The cottage was the best of both worlds, it's a good base for day trips out and then coming back to peace and relaxation in the hot tub in the evening with the gorgeous views to look at. The night sky was fabulous too, as there were so many stars you just dont see in the cities. Overall a fabulous stay and we would absolutly go back and recommend. thank you John and Angela for a lovely stay.
What fabulous feed back, thank you so much. As you had an enjoyable and relaxing stay we feel we achieved our aim. Hope to see you again sometime. kind regards Angela and John Property Owner

"We had a wonderful week, the cottage has everything in it you could want for the week."
The views are stunning, plenty of wildlife to watch and the adorable resident donkeys and sheep. As a disabled person the cottage had access from the back that was flat, with a large flat walk in shower. Grab rail in shower very useful. We understand from the owners we were he first disabled users of the cottage. They welcomed our feedback suggesting a few more grabrails and shower stool. Since coming home they have let us know that this been addressed which is fantastic. Highly recommend for a peaceful and private break.

"Sherway Dairy is the best cottage we have stayed in so far."
The fixtures and fittings were all top notch throughout . There was more than enough storage in the bedroom and the bed was very comfortable. The lounge/diner was very comfortable and the view from the window is to die for. The kitchen was really well equipped right down to an ice cream scoop and a garlic press. In fact there was more utensils in the kitchen than we’ve got at home. Angela met us when we arrived and she and John were often around tending their sheep and lambs as well as 4 donkeys that they are fostering for the Donkey Sanctuary but were always happy to have a chat. Everything throughout was immaculately clean. It’s a shame Sykes limits reviews to 5 stars because this cottage and its owners deserve 10 stars. We look forward to staying at Sherway Dairy and seeing Angela and John next time we’re down that way.
Thank you so much for such a great review. It was a pleasure to have you stay and hope to see you again sometime in the future. Angela and John Property Owner

"This stay was truly a little slice of paradise."
The owners John and Angela were the kindest and most welcoming hosts I have ever stayed with. My partner and I stayed over new years, and the views from this home did not disappoint! We had wonderful views overlooking the valley towards Exeter, with ancient woodlands and rolling fields surrounding us. The stay was cosy, incredibly clean, and the attention to detail was so appreciated. From the cupboard with books and board games to use during the stay, to the fully equipped kitchen which was fantastic to cook hearty meals in. The bathroom was spacious, and the bath was luxurious. Super comfy bed and pillows too! Our favourite aspect were the purebred sheep and friendly donkeys on site, who the owners very kindly introduced us to. Although we were not able to use the hot tub for the duration of our stay, the owners and Sykes cottages were extremely helpful with making sure we had anything else we could need. I would highly suggest this stay for any couples wishing to have a relaxing stay, with ample walks and adventures only a short distance away. I hope to return in the near future to stay again!
