  • "It was a lovely clean property with everything provided, however would suggest that plantation blinds be fitted to rear and front windows of number one ."

  • "A very well equipped and comfortable apartment with only a few slightly negative points as follows:- We would have preferred heavier curtains in the bedroom as if you're a light sleeper you are woken at dawn and other people before us have said similar."

There should be a separate bin for recycling in the kitchen. There should be some hooks in the bedroom for dressing gowns and possibly a towel stand.

  • "Only problem was the sheet on the bed kept falling off mattress."

Parking space a bit daunting but soon got used to it. Thanks for supplying all the little things you need even kitchen roll! Great location for our coast path walks and got fit walking down and back up from shops!

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at 1 Lyndhurst."

The accommodation was as described and very clean and tidy. The facilities were good and the apartment was well equipped. The apartment was conveniently located and having parking was really helpful. Overall a really great place and we would definitely stay there again and recommend it to our friends

  • "A well proportioned apartment with great facilities."

We found having the washing machine and dishwasher really useful. A lovely shower with lots of hot water. The apartment is about 5 minutes walk to the centre of town, but you do need to be fit to cope with the very steep walk back, which is the price you pay for having a nice view of the estuary. Lots of great pubs and nice places to eat in Salcombe and wonderful walks, with outstanding views, in and around the local area.

  • "Our stay at 1 Lyndhurst was very nice."

The apartment was just as described, very clean and well appointed with everything you need for a pleasant and comfortable stay. Yes there is quite a hill up from Salcombe, but Salcombe is hilly! And we were aware of this from reading information and reviews on the website before booking. All contact and information from Coast and Country Cottages was timely and informative.

  • "Clean, airy property with good views from its elevated position."

Very comfortable bed and good sofas and generally well equipped. The parking space is close to a wall and on a slope and takes a bit of getting used to. The walk into Salcombe is attractive but steep and so obviously the property requires a decent level of fitness. A great location for visiting the surrounding area.

  • "Excellent apartment, with everything you could ask for I."

    E. washing machine, dishwasher, car parking space (this is essential in Salcombe, where parking is at a premium) etc., only two drawbacks, firstly, the front window could do with window blinds, as everyone entering the flats through the front door are standing right outside your window glaring in, secondly, you need to be fairly mobile if you wish to walk anywhere from the flat, as there are very steep hills leading to the premises.

  • "The accommodation was superb."

Clean, light and airy and comfortable, with plenty of storage space. The only comment would be that parking could be an issue when all the flats are occupied.

  • "Lovely property with all the facilities you need and very clean and tidy."

A Spar shop is very close by and all the shops, bars and restaurants are only a 10 minute (steep!) walk away, with beautiful views of the estuary on the walk down.

  • "Lovely little apartment which was perfect for our short stay."

Very quiet location within walking distance (steep hills) of the harbour, with distant views of the sea from the living room! Very clean throughout and a very comfortable kings size bed. The front door (which is used by all guests) is right outside of the living room window, but this didn't bother us. Very handy to have an allocated parking space at the front of the property. Literally only appliance missing was a hairdryer. Perfect base for exploring the South West coastal paths and other local walks. Handy convienience store a few streets away (Spar) to pick up bits and pieces. Would recommend Salcombe Deli for sandwiches to take out with you for the day, Salcombe Harbour Hotel for afternoon tea and Snapes Point for a local walk woth panoramic views. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We were really pleased to read that the apartment was well presented upon your arrival and that the location was perfect for what you planned during your stay. All beautiful recommendations for future bookings! We look forward to welcoming you back to the area soon! Coast and Country Cottages on behalf of, Property Owner

  • "The accommodation, although ok for us, would be very unsuitable for anyone with a disability or health problems due to the steepness and the descent of the climb to and from the premises."

Clients should be made aware if this when booking. A taxi service is available from Fore Street, we were told at the office there where no Salcombe taxis!

  • "The property was comfortable, very well equipped and clean but there was no owner's guide to the property so it was a bit of a detective hunt to discover how everything worked, where all the switches were, what the default timings were on the heating timers etc etc."

We never managed to sort out what the Sky remote controller was for - the TV seemed to work perfectly well with its own controller.
