"We had an absolutely wonderful stay and loved the house, which retained its history and period elegance, whilst being very well fitted-out with every possible modern facility."
Thank you for the wonderful hamper, which was so generous and very delicious. All the beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding was heavenly. The only point to make is that the top bathroom sink kept getting blocked, with the water rising up. We were out all day and didn't want to haul you in to fix it, but you may want to take a look. Probably just needs a good plunger. Anyway, thank you again so much, and we'll be back!

"We have nothing but good to say about our stay in The Town House."
When we arrived we were very pleased to receive the welcome hamper - a lovely little touch - and to see what a lovely, clean and spacious house it was. The light in one of the bathrooms wasn't working but after a quick email the maintenance man came and fixed it before we had even gone out which we were very impressed with. The house was spotless when we arrived and there was everything we could possibly need for our comfort. Older guests might prefer the downstairs bedroom as there are a lot of stairs to the en suite at the very top. Car parking was fine, one car behind the other, and we made sure we reversed into them at the end of the day to make exit easier as the main car park was usually quite busy. No problem though - just very good to have the two spaces. Very easy to get to the shops and restaurants in Dorchester and a very good base to see the Jurassic coast. We would highly recommend The Town House as the owners had put so much effort into making their guests comfortable and we had a wonderful stay there with our family. Thank you so much.

"Very nice and convenient place to stay, will book again."
Thank you.

"Fantastic property right in the centre of Dorchester."
Beautifully furnished, immaculately maintained, extremely well equipped and very comfortable. Great to have parking right outside the house. Lots of stairs as the house is on 4 floors but no problem to us. Really lovely and owners have made it exceptionally beautiful with their choice of furnishings. We loved it.

"We have just returned from a lovely week's holiday at The Town House."
The accommodation is excellent, with a very well stocked kitchen and super comfy beds and is decorated and furnished to a high standard throughout. Its town centre location is ideal for anyone wishing to explore Dorchester and its only a short drive to Weymouth and the Jurassic Coast. The only caveat to be aware of is that the town centre location means that it can be a bit noisy due to traffic. Also, thank you very much for the lovely welcome package, filled with scrummy foods from Dorset Happy Hamper - we really enjoyed munching our way through that!
Many thanks for your excellent feedback, and so glad you enjoyed your stay at The Town House, we think it is rather a special place. So glad that you appreciated the way it is furnished and decorated, we put a lot of time into making it comfortable and a pleasant place to stay. Yes, being right in the centre of a busy town there is inevitably some street noise, but we think the location makes up for that. So glad you enjoyed your Dorset Happy Hamper, this is a new local company, using all locally sourced products, that we have chosen to support. I hope you enjoyed your stay in Dorchester, with its central location, making it easy to visit many local places. Thank you. Property Owner

"Very comfortable accommodation in a great spot for exploring many of Dorset’s attractions."
The kitchen was well-equipped and the WiFi was excellent. It was a bit noisy at night, situated as it is on a main street with a pub next door but that’s just one of those things and the price you pay for being centrally located. It would have been helpful to have had more information about recycling. We ended up visiting the local household waste recycling centre but it seemed that dry recyclables hadn’t been collected for months - perhaps because guests are unsure what to put out and where to put the bin. Not everyone will look it up as we did. Beware the bath - the taps are the wrong way round so hot water comes out of the tap marked cold, and vice versa!

"Very beautiful and comfortable property with excellent facilities."
We thought initially that the dinner plates were too big to go into the dishwasher until we found out how to adjust the top shelf. Very well located for shops and other local services. The lampshades in the top two bedrooms may not provide enough light for some people who want to read in bed.
Many thanks for your feedback, and so glad you enjoyed your stay and appreciated our property, sorry about the dishwasher issues, but glad that you managed to solve the problem. Thanks for the feedback on the upstairs lampshades, I must admit we hadn't realized this, so will look into changing them. Property Owner

"Some lights not working, bathroom toilet position in relationship to bedrooms not ideal but understand the best that could be made with the layout."

The town centre location, with a commanding view of Dorchester's main street, was ideal for us. Would we stay there again? Yes we would.

"Really enjoyed our stay at this lovely property."
There were some initial issues regarding Wi-Fi but these were dealt with as promptly as was possible. Great location.
We are glad that you enjoyed your stay at The Town House. As discussed with you, we apologise about the Wi-Fi, but we were let down by BT on two prior booked appointments, but pleased that we were able to sort it out during your stay. We hope you enjoyed your visit to Dorset. Property Owner
