The Old Coach House is a charming barn conversion resting in Nettlebridge, on the edge of the Mendips in Somerset.

With beautiful country views, a herd of llamas, and a quirky games room, The Old Coach House is a superb setting for your next family adventure, within easy reach of the cities of Bath and Wells.

The property boasts an open-plan living space where guests can take advantage of the self-catering facilities, including a dishwasher, to rustle up an evening meal to enjoy round the dining table as you toast to a wonderful holiday, or alternatively grab some popcorn and enjoy a night in front of the television.

Outside there is private parking on the driveway, a garden with lawn, patio and furniture so you can take your dining al fresco, and an external games room which is a cool space to hang out, for either children or adults, with the bar facilities and pool table.

The property is just a stone's throw away from the gorgeous Harridge Wood West Nature Reserve which is a worthwhile afternoon with a picnic, or take a short drive into Chilcompton to find a shop for any essentials and two pubs, for when you fancy an evening out with your loved ones.

The city of Bath is close by with its historical Abbey, interesting Roman Baths, alongside many other museums and galleries, and great shopping facilities.

In the opposite direction, you can explore the city of Wells which has a captivating Cathedral and The Bishop's Palace and Gardens which is a striking 13th century palace with 14 acres of gardens.

Also, you can discover the popular Longleat Safari Park which boasts a monkey drive thru and an African animal village, Glastonbury and Cheddar Gorge, all within a 30 minute drive of the property.

Chilcompton is a small village on the northern edge of Somerset, with a history of farming and mining. There is two pubs serving food, a Co Op, the St John Baptist Church, and a playground with a skate park. The village is set between four Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty; Cotswolds to the north, North Wessex Downs to the east, Cranborne Chase to the south with the popular Longleat Safari Park and Mendip Hills to the west with the breathtaking Wookey Hole Caves. A short drive takes you into the small town of Midsomer Norton which has a number of shops, cafes and pubs with the lovely River Somer flowing through the middle, making a lovely place to sit and relax, or feed the ducks. Slightly further is the city of Bath which offers river cruises alonng the River Avon and is home to a Roman bathhouse and temple, with spring water, Pump Room restaurant and a museum, as well as other interesting museums, art galleries, theatres and of course, the striking Bath Abbey. Also within an hour you can visit Stonehenge which is a World Heritage Site and the best known prehistoric monument in Europe. Chilcompton is a great base for discovering the beauty of your surroundings.
