“A lovely break was had by all - everything was exactly as stated in the information on website.”

As the house was part of a gated community you felt at home and not in a holiday home. It would have been great if the owners had a guest book to leave comments but we failed to find one ! Would 100% recommend this property and will book Melanie Cottage again in the future .

The property

A charming two bedroom mews style house situated in the gated development of Kellaway Court, Brewers Quay, Weymouth.

The property is stylish giving the home from home feeling for our guests.

With a modern well equipped open plan kitchen and dining area, it is perfect for allowing you to involve your children in helping prepare a tasty treat to enjoy in the evening.

At the front of the house is a small patio to area to allow you to soak up the summer sun and chat about your day of adventures.

The colourful harbourside and marina is only a minute or two away.

Cross over the lifting harbour bridge, that is hydraulically-operated and raised every two hours, 363 days of the year.

It is still one of Weymouth's most iconic features.

Why not take the gentle rowing ferry across to the other side of the harbourside and within 5-10 minutes, you have the choice of visiting Weymouth’s famous beautiful beach, and whilst there, take advantage of the well-stocked amenities in and around the main shopping area, including well known high street stores alongside quaint and independent shops. Just a short walk away are the pretty Nothe Gardens and Newton's Cove, with rock pools, perfect for finding the hidden gems of sealife.

Find a bench and admire the breath taking sea views over to the Isle of Portland.

Melanie's, like its sister cottage Poppies is sure to be one of our most popular holiday cottages in Weymouth.

About the location

BREWERS QUAY HARBOUR

Dorchester 8.7 miles; West Lulworth 15.8 miles

Brewers Quay is the old Victorian brewery situated at the heart of the harbour, in Weymouth, Dorset. Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. This area is now a popular destination with many restaurants, café and bars, creating a vibrant culture, where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked away down the harbourside streets, you will find original Tudor harbour buildings, estimated to have been built in 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible exhibitions, and the harbour is also home to the lifting bridge, where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge to the town's winding streets of boutique shops and the seafront esplanade and beach. There is more to this seaside town than meets the eye; Brewers Quay is a much-loved holiday destination in Weymouth!
