"We had a wonderful week at Church View."
It is an idyllic setting and brilliantly laid out and kitted out for a family holiday. It is so well looked after and we couldn’t have asked for more!
That's great to hear - hope to welcome you again. Property Owner
"We enjoyed our week here."
A few very tiny niggles (eg only 1 tea towel) but generally we were impressed both by the quantity of facilities (books, games, cooking equipment, etc.) and by the quality, such as hotel-quality towels and bedding.
Really pleased you enjoyed your stay - and we hope to see you again. Please let us know if you need anything during your stay. Property Owner
"I would reccommend Church View as our recent long weekend spent there was extremely enjoyable."
The house is spacious, clean, comfortable and warm with lots to keep children occupied. The extensive gardens/fields are great for the kids to explore and play. The overall setting in the village is quiet but convenient for the pub etc. Our Host Jon was extremely helpful and went out of his way to help us with something that we lost.
Delighted that you enjoyed your stay so much - we hope to welcome you again in the future. Property Owner
"A beautiful house with everything you could want for a catch up with family."
Plenty of room to chill, play the piano or enjoy the trampoline and Table tennis. The house catered for everyone.
Thank you - so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Church View - hope we are able to welcome you again in the future Property Owner
"Church View is a beautiful and characterful place."
The setting is peaceful, with views and walks in all directions. Wardour Castle is nearby and well worth a visit. Louise and Jon are lovely hosts and looked after everything really well. We are a family of three generations and our grandchildren of 7 and 11 loved all the outdoor and indoor games available. We all hope to go to Church View again one day.
Property in need of TLC and gardens unfortunately not maintained like the photos. Back door needs replacing.
"Lovely cottage, garden and location."
Would definitely come again. Useful information folder and welcome note. Plenty of bedding. Could do with a couple more tea towels and we couldn’t find the key for the back door.
"Lovely area, lots of places to visit around."
Lovely cottage but could do with a bit of TLC.
"Lovely cottage to spend time with friends in the countryside."
It had all the facilities needed. Plenty of rooms and great value for money. The garden was lovely and spacious.
"We have used this cottage twice."
it is very comfortable and suits our needs very well indeed. The location is good being near to Tisbury with its shops and the station.
"The holiday was around joint craft week and the accommodation met all the needs."
The space, light and furniture was ideal for the purpose of the week and as a result is on the list for a repeat next year.
"The house is lovely, comfortable and spacious and we had a warm welcome with ..."
The house is lovely, comfortable and spacious and we had a warm welcome with home made bread, cake, jam and milk from the local farm waiting for us when we arrived
"The cottage accommodated our party really well and surpassed our expectations of all the facilities available."
There was loads of toys, games, cards, books etc not to mention the table tennis and the trampoline. The wood burning stoves were lit in the evenings and the cottage was really cosy. The garden was a delight for the children and adults alike with a lovely stream at the bottom. The local pub in the village, the Royal Oak was excellent - 10 out of 10 for service and food and there were plenty of local walks on the doorstep and many things to do around the location.

About the location
TISBURY, NEAR BATH
Shaftesbury 12 miles; Salisbury 15 miles.
An interesting, lively village on the Wiltshire/Dorset border, well served by a good selection of inns, shops, a library, a bank, a garage and with a regular rail link to both London and Exeter. The village is set in the valley of the River Nadder, a good fishing river which gently meanders its way down to Salisbury and where herons, grey wagtails and even kingfishers may be seen - a bird watchers paradise! Along the valley, the lush green countryside provides superb rural walks and cycling. Full of history, the nearby mill predates even the Domesday Book. A visit to the local churchyard reveals a famous 1000 year old yew tree and also the graves of Rudyard Kipling's parents, who lived here. The village serves as a great year round base for exploring this interesting area. Within a short drive are Wilton House, Shaftesbury, Old Wardour Castle, Stourhead, Stonehenge, and the beautiful cathedral city of Salisbury.
