"We had a fantastic week in Elm Villa and really enjoyed being in Wareham - an even better location than we had imagined it would be."
We appreciated being provided with cleaning cloths, spray and hand soap etc. We took oven gloves with us thanks to an earlier review! Instructions on using the play station for playing DVDs would have been useful - it took us a while to work it out! the first time! Otherwise a very lovely place to stay.
"Had a lovely stay and really enjoyed Wareham and the local areas."
The house was very well situated for anyone wanting to visit the Dorset coast and countryside. Was immaculate throughout and very comfortable for the 4 of us - our only frustrations were around no oven gloves or anything else to manage hot dishes in the oven and the parking situation when we first arrived on the Saturday. Although we had been made aware that the Church car park would not be available after 5pm we arrived to find out it was not available until after 7:30pm which caused issues in unloading, that said it would not stop us from booking again.
"Lovely house, warm, clean and welcoming."
Hello Thank you for feedback I’m pleased you enjoyed your stay . Many thanks. Joanne Property Owner
"The property was great - good sized rooms, spotlessly clean and plenty of storage!"
Two small things - a second key would be helpful and a warning that there is no shaver socket in the bathroom (which can be easily remedied by taking an adaptor plug). The downside is the parking. Check-in is 5pm on Saturday. The only available parking is in the church car park and it isn’t available from 5-7 pm on a Saturday. If possible, an earlier check-in would at least allow to get the car unloaded before it had to be moved.
Thank you for your feedback, we have amended the check in time to 4pm to assist with the parking. Property Owner
"The villa is a fantastic base to explore the Jurassic coast and is just a short walk from the town centre where there are plenty of pubs/restaurants/cafes offering a good selection of food and drinks."
The villa is a great property and catered well for my children with a good selection of board games and a playstation to keep them entertained. Would definitely recommend.
"Wareham was a fantastic location to explore from & Elm Villa was a home from home, beautifully clean & comfortable, thank you!"
"Accommodation was superb."
Very clean and well presented with a really homely, comfy feel. Had everything we needed. The sun room was a lovely bonus and the garden is beautiful. Excellent location on the doorstep into Wareham. Good local amenities, couple of nice pubs, we are at two really good restaurants- The Old Granary and The Italian Kitchen and hired a boat from the quay. The Bear was great for a drink. Not far by car to other great places. We absolutely loved our holiday here. Definitely recommend this property and Wareham itself as a great base to see Dorset.

About the location
Corfe Castle 5 miles; Poole 9 miles; Swanage 11 miles;
Wareham, affectionately known as the ‘Gateway to the Purbecks’ is an ancient Dorset waterside market town. Situated between the River Frome and quaintly named River Piddle, its charming riverside location makes the town a popular holiday destination. Dating back to Saxon times, the town was once surrounded by walls, and became an important port with boats bringing supplies up the River Frome from nearby Poole harbour. Today, the river provides a great playground, you can hire a boat from the attractive quayside and chug your way down the stream, take one of the regular organised boat trips, browse the colourful Saturday market or simply just enjoy an ice cream or a drink relaxing on the Quayside. Whilst seasonally there are also numerous popular events taking place beside the river. A short drive takes you to the Arne peninsula jutting out into Poole Harbour, a designated RSPB reserve, where you can stroll down to the water’s edge, taking in glimpses of the impressive bird population and often viewing some of the resident deer. The friendly seaside resort of Swanage is also easily accessible, where you can experience a traditional family-friendly day out on the beach, or take the coastal path and stop off for refreshment at Durlston Country Park. A real treat is to drive to nearby Corfe Castle and take the vintage steam railway to Swanage. Wareham offers visitors a super Dorset holiday destination at anytime of the year.
