  • "Absolutely brilliant."

Lovely cottage, well equipped with everything. Owners very friendly. Clean, warm, cosy cottage with beautiful scenery to admire.

  • "The owners Matthew and Edith were very kind in supplying a few basic foodstuffs and a few thoughtful treats to help us settle in."

Those small touches make a big difference. Edith and Matthew made it clear they were on hand if we had any queries or problems, but they respected our privacy too. The cottage is in a lovely spot, accessible for local walks and beauty spots. We would recommend it for walkers as there are many options. Fort William is only a few miles away which was convenient

The owners were very pleasant and welcoming, giving us a general overview of the cottage as well as the surrounding area. The cottage is very well equipped and there were many little extras to be found making our stay even more pleasant. Well worth our rating of 5 stars

  • "Our thanks to the owners for their great hospitality, even to provisions left for us, most welcome after 2 days driving!"

The house location is quiet and has a lovely outlook over the River Spean, very close to the Commando Memorial and spectacular views of Ben Nevis. It is an excellent centre for touring the West Highlands and Islands.

  • "This cottage is one of the best we have ever stayed in."

The owners Edith & Matthew have provided a beautifully clean & well equipped 'home from home'. They have thoughtfully provided many extras to make guests feel welcome including bread, milk, butter etc to ensure you can relax after a long journey. They are very friendly & helpful providing local knowledge without being intrusive in any way. The cottage is in a lovely location & perfectly based for the many activities available in this area. We had a wonderful week (really lucky with good weather too!); cannot recommend this cottage highly enough. Many thanks for sharing your lovely cottage with us.

  • "We booked our cottage for two weeks but could have done with an extra week to visit a few extra places."

The cottage was ideally located to explore a large area of the Highlands and was situated in a lovely quiet area but with good access to the main roads. The cottage was immaculate and very comfortable with everything we needed. Edith and Mathew made us very welcome and were on hand if there were any problems, which there weren't. There are not a lot of "attractions" to visit in this area so it is really an area to visit for walking and sightseeing the fantastic rivers, waterfalls, lochs and mountains. We were visiting at the time of Covid-19 so of course some attractions were not available but the West Highland Railway from Fort William to Mallaig would have been stunning. To summarise, a beautiful cottage, scenery and holiday.

Owners were very generous with some provisions on arrival. Very private property with lovely views across the fields. Really recommend booking this cottage. We had a great holiday. Thank you very much to the owners- especially for letting us stay during a pandemic.

  • "An imaculately presented spacious place for two, the Little Tigh is kitted out with comforts informed by our host's own experiences of going away for a break - in this case in a quiet location within striking distance of all you'll want from a trip to the Highlands."

Gets our five stars with a smile!

  • "This cottage is exactly as described and more."

The hosts were warm, welcoming and nothing was a problem! After an initial greeting and show around the property, they kept to themselves but were extremely approachable if we wanted any advice on where to visit. The cottage itself was cosy, really well equipped (spices, a range of teas, dishwasher tablets, handwash and more) and extremely warm! The attention to detail was lovely, providing us with boot cleaning towels and a surplus of towels to use for the powerful, warm shower (this even had the option to play music and flashing lights!). Overall, a perfect stay and would go back in a heartbeat.

  • "Great little holiday cottage with everything that you could need."

Due to the current COVID-19 situation we choose to eat in the house and the kitchen contains all the facilities you need to be able to do this. Also some thoughtful extra bits and pieces were available on arrival. Cleanliness standards are very high.

  • "This is a brilliant cottage in a superb location."

The cottage itself is extremely well equipped; nothing was missing for us to enjoy our week’s stay. There was even a good range of herbs and spices to cook with! The owners had provided a welcome pack of milk, bread, cheese, fruit, biscuits and a large range of teas, which was very much appreciated. The owners live onsite but apart an initial welcome and a quick tour of the cottage you would not know they were there. I have no hesitation in recommending this cottage to other people.
