  • "Size, location and view are brilliant."

It was clean, well kept and great for a large family break. For that I would have scored high. However, there are some key points that really were frustrating and actually I think grounds for a refund (as Easter week this was a high price booking) 1. There is no jacuzzi. You are advertising this still. From talking to the cleaners, its been gone over a year. 2. Pool heating was broken and couldn't be used properly for the bulk of the stay. Appreciate completely getting it fixed over Easter weekend was tough, but to not have a warm or indeed heated pool for 5 out of 7 days isn't acceptable. Final fix was done on the Monday, it took till Wed to be warm ish and only really useable on the Thursday, Departure was 9.30am on Friday. As we paid a premium for facilities that were either literally not there or not useable can we discuss getting some ££ back?

  • "Myself and my family loved the small stay we had at the Croft."

The lovely gentlemen went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and like no other. Due to it being lambing season the men came and informed us they would be around helping with the lambs but we were more than welcome to come and have a look at the work going on. As we have little children in the family this was a great experience for them! Everything to make our stay as enjoyable as possible was done and we would return in a heartbeat. The rooms were very clean and it is clear much work and effort is put into keeping the property looking the way it does. The facilities were great and the pool very fun. Thank you for an amazing time

  • "We were 20 in the end instead of the 23 or 24 we could have been."

20 is a much better number for the dining table and chairs. 243/4 is really awkward (we have been before with a bigger number). You end up with people have to crawl under the table to get to the seats on the other side of the U shaped table arrangement. For perfection we think the table and chairs could be less heavy weight and cumbersome - allowing a more convenient arrangement of tables - so that walking round tables would be easier. Apart from all all is really good.

The swimming pool was great, really warm and clean and the sauna was brilliant too. There was no jacuzzi as advertised but we realised this after reading some previous reviews. The house was lovely and really comfortable and very clean. We loved the lay out as there were areas away from the hustle and bustle for those who wanted a break and also a good sized kitchen and main living room. Also loved that we could get all 21 of us in the dining room around the table for evening meals. Would definitely go back and would 100% recommend this to others :)

Perfect for a family get away. The pool was amazing and was enjoyed every day we were there. Perfect temperature, really clean. Our 5m old loved it! The sauna was brilliant and warmed up quickly so we could enjoy it! Kitchen was well equipped and great for cooking for all 22 of us. Dining room sat us all for Christmas dinner which was fantastic. Hay-on-wye was a short trip away and we enjoyed a lovely nosey around the quaint shops. Rooms were brilliant, plenty of ensuites. Comfy nights sleep! Travel cots in the property are good quality and so are the highchairs. We did have a little issue with the heating but it was swiftly sorted out for us. One of the rooms has a missing blind/curtain in the bathroom. Needs to be replaced although it was a great view when having a shower. Only thing we would recommend is that the pool could do with a hand rail. My grandad had a stiff leg when we got there so a hand rail would have been brilliant for him to use the pool. Sadly he missed out as he was afraid of falling. Huge thank you to the owner for catering for our lovely stay. We have made some great memories and had a really lovely time!

It was immaculate and was everything that I had hoped for. My family (those of us who were able to go due to Covid restrictions) were all delighted with the property. The contact that I had with the owners was positive and pleasant. Whilst the property lived up to all expectations I am afraid to say that your approach to customer service was an absolute disgrace. You were quick enough to take my money both for the deposit, interim payments and the final payment but when it came to my needing help and assistance from you when the Government, 5 days before the start of the holiday, altered the criteria for holidays such as this you 'went missing'. I spent 90 minutes in total trying to contact your customer services. I sent an e-mail to your customer services on the 4th August explaining my problems. It is now 22nd August and I am still waiting for a response from you to that e-mail. I sent a further e-mail to you the following day after I had spoken to the owners of the property who, unlike yourselves, were most helpful. Yet again I await a reply from you. You did not have the decency to acknowledge either of these e-mails let alone answer my queries from the first one. I have severe reservations about using your company again for future holidays and based on my experience of your customer service I have no intention of recommending you to anybody.

The property and grounds are absolutely beautiful. The kitchen is amazing with everything you need to feed a large amount people. The swimming pool was definitely a high light. Very clean and kids absolutely loved it. We played cricket on the field and had an amazing time. The bedrooms and living areas are fantastic. All bedding was very clean. The house has amazing character and everyone loved wondering around and finding new rooms and original features. There were a few small things that would make this property untouchable. Internet needs a booster in the rooms off the main house as it currently doesn’t reach there. The jack and Jill shower didn’t brain so guests used the shower next to the pool. Upgrading the swing set would add another plus set to this property as current one is a little run down. Listing needs slightly amending as jacquzzi is no longer there and gym is removed due to COVID. We had an amazing time at this property and we will definitely be booking again. We loved it xx

The weather was mediocre but this was saved by the pool.!!! We had an age range of 3 to 73 and the facilities were enjoyed by all. We self catered throughout, once again the kitchen was extremely well equipped which enabled us to present the meals properly in a very spacious dining room. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. There is nothing to fault. On the final day, Pat was there to wave us off. The band of workers arrived to ready the property for the next visitors. The bedroom setup was perfect for our group and the facilities in the house were just what we needed. The pool, suana and jacuzzi were well used by all, as was the games room pool table. The large lounge was perfect for after dinner entertainments, for which we had a magician come in to perform, with plenty of room for all the guests to gather round. We had caterers come in to provide and serve us the birthday dinner, rather than going out on a cold and windy February evening, and this was again the perfect venue for it.
