  • "Fantastic property."

True to advertisment. Well situated for visiting the lakes. Plenty of little extras that you don't usually find in a holiday let. If we come back to the lakes we would definitely look at booking again.

We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay at 21 Ironworks, and thanks for your review, it’s always great to hear about people enjoying the property and being in the lakes. We’ll look forward to hopefully welcoming you back again soon. Property Owner

Cleaning in main areas was reasonable under main dining room table had not seen the hoover for a while. The hoover was left very full. We left the property cleaner than we found it. It was a good location as a base to visit surrounding areas. All said we did have a good time in the property and would recommend this as a good base to explore from.

Thoroughly enjoyable week in a beautiful property. Ironworks is an ideal location for a week in the Lakes. We had great weather and were able to explore the local area including Haverthwaite Steam Railway, South Lakes Safari Zoo, the Old man of Coniston, Tarn Hows, Windermere and Grisdale Forest. The house had everything we needed and was very clean and tidy. Plenty of space and a lovely lounge on the top floor to relax in. We would highly recommend!

Gorgeous location on the river. Modern, comfortable and homely. Fully equipped. Location is great, short drives to Ulverston, Lakeside and Newby Bridge. Handy for Ambleside, Bowness, Coniston and surrounding areas. South Lakes Safari Zoo was a great day out. Hotel bar & pub within walking distance. Lovely to sit out by the river, the weather was kind to us. Hired a boat from Low Wood Bay water sports for half a day. The sun was shining. Wonderful views from the lake and great fun for the kids! & hubby. We may return to your lovely property one day!

A few things to note are - the biscuits provided were expired already. Kindly request to change them. Also would be great if there is some basic kitchen ingredients like salt, pepper, oil for cooking as they weren’t available. We enjoyed the spacious living and attic areas and kids loved the theater setting up there. The river flowing beside the apartment gave a peaceful feeling and we loved the way the house was beautifully designed and organized. Thank you for letting us stay. We would definitely come back she’d recommend the place.

  • "We spent a week at 21 Ironworks and it was perfect for us (two families including two babies and a toddler)."

Location There are some great local gems. We went on a steam train at Haverthwaite station (just a ten minute walk away), and continued our journey to Bowness via cruise. Fell Foot and Gummers How were easily accessible for a lovely day out. We also enjoyed a local walk up Bigland Barrow following the directions on the guide provided. Backbarrow is also a great base to explore the southern Lake District with easy access to Windermere and Coniston. Ulverston is only a ten minute drive away and you can get a great view of the coast from the Sir John Barrow monument. Accommodation The apartment itself was spacious, beautifully furnished and very clean. The kitchen was very well equipped with high quality appliances and had everything we needed. We also loved the huge TV in the attic - perfect for winding down in the evening after a busy day! All in all a fantastic stay - would certainly recommend!

  • "Couldn’t contact yourselves or property owner via number provided as no answer or answer phone."

Poor mobile signal at accommodation. Two of the toilet seats were loose and needed tools to tighten. Both showers drains couldn’t cope with water flow from shower head while taking a shower. So, you had to turn off and on so as not to overflow shower tray which spoilt the experience of the lovely rain shower head. Odd arrangement of rooms with bathroom off top floor sitting room which only had roof windows! Surely it would be better to have that as master bedroom and the bedroom with river views as the tv room.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologise that you were unable to get through. We have an out of hours number even when our customer service lines are closed.
