  • "Coney Garth Cottage is a well equipped, tastefully furnished cottage in a great location to tackle the Western fells and local tourist attractions."

It is comfortable and bright with the added bonus of a hot tub. The owners, Geoff and Julie, are readily available should you need them and are keen to ensure your stay is enjoyable and your every need catered for. I would highly recommend a stay at this cottage, which is reasonably priced. We are going back in October, that just about says it all.

The cottage had it’s own car parking space , patio and patio furniture which in the afternoon was a real sun trap. It was a self catering cottage and because I do not like to shop too much whilst on holiday, I packed sufficient supplies for the week including dishwasher and washing machine tablets, dish cloth etc etc . As they say “ everything but the kitchen sink. There is a very friendly pub in Beckermet called the Royal Oak which serves delicious food . If you need to shop, Egremont is close by . We also went to Gosforth where there’s a very well equipped supermarket, a local bakery and a cafe called Yam Frae Yam which I highly recommend but as it is small , booking is recommended.
