  • "It was a memorable holiday with family and friends."

    House was very spacious and well equipped. Only concern was that one of the showers in the first floor had a leak which leaked down to the kitchen from ceiling above. Otherwise everything was upto our expectations. Thank you

  • "The house is amazing."

    It has plenty of room with the pool table in one room, there is a cinema room, a sofa in the kitchen and a large conservatory. The pool table was well used and was in good condition. The hot tub was one of the best we have been in. The bedrooms are large with 3 being en suite. We went for a walk round Ennerdale lake which is just over 3 miles away but there is also a path at the gates to the property which leads to a cycle path. We really enjoyed our stay and will be returning. Contact was by email and WhatsApp so easy to communicate.

  • "We had the loveliest of time at Sanderson park."

    It’s a beautiful clean property and had everything we needed, i would highly recommend this place and all I would say is the back garden could have a little more done in the way of colour “flowers” but it didn’t have any bearing on the fabulous time we spent there, an hour later 10.30, check out would have been better but we managed it and I hope to return again. Thank you .

  • "The property was just great for our needs, three different families all coming together to share the space."

  • "The house is a great place to get a big group together and spacious enough not to feel overcrowded."

    We didn't have enough towels for our group though, despite there only being 11 of us and some bath towels were too small. It was too cold in the house on a few occasions we no option to change the heating. One of the ovens didn't work. Some light bulbs need replacing and there were no dishwasher tablets. And there were no wine glasses or pint glasses. A small pool cue might be a good idea too. It's quite tight around the pool table. But we would recommend and these are just suggestions to make it better for your next visitors

    Thank you so much for your feedback! We're thrilled you enjoyed the spaciousness of the house for your group. We apologise if the towels were not to your liking, but we always leave out enough sets for the number of guests booked so if this changes after booking, please let us know before arrival. The heating can be controlled in the house or remotely so if we are made aware of this we can help you get the house to a desired temperature. The main oven works slightly differently to normal ovens by using a timer, we have a full video and written explaination of this in the kitchen and guest handbook and we could have made you aware of this if we have been contacted. We appreciate all the suggestions in your review and will make sure that these are implimented to make holidays even more enjoyable for future guests. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the lack of towels, malfunctioning oven, burnt-out light bulbs, missing dishwasher tablets, and glassware. We'll ensure these are addressed before the next guests arrive. We appreciate the suggestions for a small pool cue and improved lighting around the pool table.   • "Heating was an issue as it was set by timer and we could not change."

    The weather had turned cold and we could not adjust the heating to come on, which is not good when you have young children.

    I appreciate your feedback about the heating issue, and I'm sorry for any inconvenience it caused, especially with young children. The heating can be controlled from inside the house, or we can adjust the settings remotely if we are contacted at the time.   • "Beautiful property, plenty of room for a large group."

    Spotlessly clean. Slight niggles, bath towels on the small size. Need larger pans. Floor boards very squeaky. Mat runner by front door a trip hazard.

    We had four generations of our family in the house and not once did we feel on top of one another . The owners were amazing helping us when we didn’t quite read the instructions for the oven

  • "We were given loads of information before we arrived at the property which was very useful."

    Once we entered the property everything looked very clean and nice. Everything was set out neatly and looking very lovely including the small details e.g box of tissue. Overall we must say the whole property looked amazing

Whitehaven 4.1 miles; Cockermouth 16.7 miles; Bassenthwaite 21.4 miles.

Enjoying a peaceful position within the English county of Cumbria is Cleator Moor, a small town resting just a few miles away from Whitehaven and the coastline. The town plays host to a number of amenities, including a handful of pubs, shops and other small businesses, as well as a Mart Square, where there are three sculptures by Conrad Atkinson, a local artist of international repute. Here, you will also find part of the West Cumbria Cycle Network, which form a portion of the C2C Cycle Route, from Whitehaven to Sunderland. Those with two-wheels can look forward to meandering along the route of the old Whitehaven, Cleator and Egremont and Rowrah and Kelton Fell Railways, which were once very active in the 1850s. The port town of Whitehaven is nearby and rests on the west coast of Cumbria, where you will find a larger selection of amenities, as well as a golf course, The Beacon Museum and the attraction of The Rum Story & Jefferson' Shop.
