"Well equipped apartment."
Beautiful views over the Kent Estuary from flat. Warm, spacious, homely. V clean and organised by owners. Local pubs. Great journey Arnside to Grange by train. Community equipment scheme at Arnside station, able to hire electric bikes. We borrowed a mobility scooter for a donation. Fantastic idea, waysaroundthebay.org.

"Such a lovely holiday home."
Felt at home from the moment we got there. Everything we expected and more. The only downside was the stairs, but so worth it for the view over the estuary. Great location too with some great walks pubs and other amenities.

"Fabulous location."
The views from the front windows are fantastic it was great seeing the bore come in. Loved the bottle of fizz and complimentary teas & coffees. Very spacious, the facilities were all top notch and rooms tastefully decorated. The family bathroom is amazing. The kitchen was great to cook in. The people living downstairs were friendly and helpful. The walk starting just outside the door along the estuary I think we walked every day. Load of things to do and visit nearby. A walk away the fish and chip shop gets a 10/10,the Fighting Cock pub is worth a visit as are the little cafes along the promenade. The local Londis has everything you need. The owners were very quick to respond when I had a query. I would definitely book again. The kingsize bed was a little hard for me but that's a personal preference and the towels were a bit on the small size. Only one suggestion - have a poster at the bottom of the stair explaining the recycling and the collection dates. We missed the day 'cos we weren't sure and the bags were full to the brim from previous visitors. We took our recycling home.
Dear Madeleine thank you so much for your kind review We’re so pleased that you had a good week and would love to welcome you back in the future. Apologies for the recycling we usually put it out but it’s complicated as it’s certain things every other week and we must have forgotten. I will take your suggestion on board. Thank you. Kind regards. Kaye & David Sorrell Property Owner

"A fantastic property in a stunning location."
The apartment is beautiful decorated, very clean and very well equipped, with stunning views across the water! The location is fantastic, with walks straight out the front door as well as lots to explore in the local area and not far to venture into the lakes for a more strenuous walk. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely come here again!
Thank you so much for your feedback. We’re so happy that you had a great holiday. We look forward to welcoming you again. Kind regards Kaye & David Sorrell Property Owner

"Lovely place to stay with incredible views of the bay and the sunsets."
Impressively clean with great facilities in the kitchen and bathroom. The location is perfect, situated at the end of the promenade but very close to the shops, cafes, pub and chippy. Only 10-15 minutes walk from the train station, and the train line is well connected for both transport links and day trips.
Dear Allison. Thank you so much for taking the time to give us feedback. We’re so happy that you enjoyed your stay and hope we may welcome you back again. Kind regards Kaye & David Sorrell Property Owner

"Excellent views: whatever the weather, they were interesting & beautiful throughout."
Facilities excellent, except that the heating varied from fairly warm to cold, and this prevented total comfort. I did not use the washing machine, the dishwasher, the grill, nor the oven, nor the microwave; certainly the facilities were there but cannot comment on the usage; the cooking rings were somewhat unpredictable & cooking was therefore not a quick & straight-forward process. Only used 1 bed (sea-blue room), wardrobes & hanging spaces in all. Very comfortable & slept particularly well. Bathroom: shower a delight (space & hot water).Good size for space/comfort. Would have preferred plastic chair to sit. Lounge very comfortable; TV excellent. Plenty of room. Steps/stairs: Considerable & extremely steep. I had requested a country cottage for gentle exercise! Basically, they were going to get rid of any problem or reduce me to hospital! With all the luggage to carry, I should have been notified, and I do not recall any advice in the advance details. Very pleasant family.
Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review. We’re glad you enjoyed your week. In regards to heating the hive thermostat is fully adjustable when set to manual and easy to put up or down for our visitors comfort. Perhaps the previous visitor had changed it to schedule by mistake. Once we had adjusted it I hope you were warm and comfortable. The steps lead up to the crow’s nest which is of course on the 2 nd floor, this allows for spectacular views over the bay. There are x4 sets of 9 steps to each landing . I’m sorry you were not made aware of these before your stay. We do hope that this did not spoil your week. Kind regards Kaye & David Sorrell Property Owner

"Beautifully appointed spotless apartment, unrivalled views of the estuary and fells, we were lucky to see a picture perfect sunset and to witness the famous bore."
The owners were very accommodating with a special request that we had. Sadly we didn't have more time to stay.
I’m so happy to hear that your family managed the trip after all the rail strikes. and enjoyed their stay at Crows Nest. Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback for us. Kind regards. Kaye Sorrell Property Owner

"Lovely large apartment, with wonderful views over the estuary from the lounge."
Everything was spotlessly clean. Large smart TV and comfortable seating though really just for 4/5 people, but 2 small chairs are available for use from the bedrooms. Kitchen very well equipped. The 3 bedrooms are of a good size. The apartment is on the second floor which of course requires a climb up some stairs which could be problematic for some, but for us perfectly fine. Plenty of walking from the door and Arnside railway station just a short walk away. We would definitely return.

"Lovely, well equipped and maintained flat, superb views."
I highly recommend the flat, as long the guests realise there is quite a few stairs to get to the front door.

"We had a lovely week at Crows Nest over Christmas."
The apartment was spacious, well furnished and warm. Beds were comfortable and linen and towels good quality. We loved the Christmas decorations wine and goodies. The kitchen is well equipped, we cooked Christmas dinner for five there and there was plenty of crockery and cutlery so that we could use the dishwasher. Finally, the view was amazing. We hope to be back when the weather is better.
Thank you for your feedback we are delighted that you enjoyed your Christmas week at the Crow’s Nest as it’s such a special time for families. The photo you sent of your Xmas day table were spectacular, we were impressed. Looking forward to welcoming you again in the future. Kind regards Kaye & David Property Owner

"Fabulous apartment in a perfect location with with really wonderful estuary views."
Clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and very well maintained. We had a few little glitches early on but these were quickly resolved by the very helpful owners, Kaye and David. A pint of fresh milk would have been a lovely addition after our journey - but there are two good shops fairly close by. We all had a fantastic week and plan to return. The Plowman Family, Sheffield.

"Beautifully decorated, thoughtfully equipped."
Spacious with fabulous views. A pleasure to stay there.

"Lovely apartment with views across the bay."
Everything you needed had been provided, it was very welcoming to arrive back after a day out. Good WiFi and TV signals. The parking was good, the only draw back was the stairs which we did know about before we booked.

"Crow’s nest is a lovely apartment situated at the end of the prom, with spacious rooms and beautiful views over the estuary."
Everything was clean including the oven and the kitchen was well equipped Two flights of stairs was no problem even though 2 of us are in our eighties. The only problem I had was with the mattress on the bed in the en-suite room, it was too hard but I would still go again (perhaps with a mattress topper) as it is such a beautiful apartment in a beautiful position in such a beautiful place.
Thank you so much for taking the time to post feedback. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your time in our apartment. We do hope that you can visit us again. Kind regards Kaye & David Property Owner

Extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. The views from the property are second to none (even with classic British Summer rainy weather!). Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and we hope to return in the future.

"Fantastic well equiped large apartment with stunning views near a few shops, cafe's, pubs and an excellent fish and chip shop, with the added bonus of being only a few minutes walk away from the train station."
Lovely helpfull owners with nothing being too much trouble. Apart from a couple of cleaning issues which Kaye was informed of and a plumbing problem that was dealt with immediately we had an amazing time and will definitely be back. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Thank you Christine for taking the trouble to post feedback . It was very nice to meet you both and we are delighted that you had a lovely holiday. We look forward to welcoming you again. Kind regards. Kaye & David. Property Owner

"At first we were disappointed to find the flat was dusty in a few areas (but clean in most others) - but then we met the owners of Crows Nest who explained that the windows had all been replaced the week previously and "there was dust everywhere"."
So they had been very busy cleaning the flat, but there were a few odd areas which had been missed (it is a large flat). We then realised what a major problem they had faced and did not wish to complain. We also suspect it was the dust which set off the fire alarms one night (early morning) - much to our annoyance. Again the owners were full of apologies and immediately arranged for the maintenance engineer to carry out a full check the next day. Their care for the flat - and for us - could not be faulted.
Thank you so much for taking the trouble to post feedback. We are always grateful for guests’ comments. We do hope you enjoyed your stay and Thankyou for your understanding and explanation. Kind regards Kaye and David. Property Owner

Looks out over the estuary to the Lakeland fells beyond- beautiful. Flat was very clean and well equiped. Has the added bonus of the 4 flights of stairs to get into so got fit as well!! Arnside is a lovely little village with a well stocked shop and some great cafes. Will return for sure.

"We have stayed in a lot of properties and this one is up there at the top."
The position is perfect for nipping to the shop and pub and has the added bonus of parking. There are lovely walks right from the doorstep. It felt very clean and it was very spacious. The views were absolutely fabulous from the front bedrooms and living room. The owners were very easy to communicate with and were lovely people and always happy to help. Overall this was one of the best holidays in the UK we have had, even with the rainy days. Thank you for having us!
Hello both. Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review online for us . We really enjoyed meeting you both and hope we see you again in the future. Kind regards David and Kaye Property Owner

"Great flat, clean, well furnished and extremely well equipped."
Outstanding views across the estuary. Despite the inclement weather we managed decent walks in the area. Arnside station was 10 minutes walk from the property and we made use of it thereby having a couple of driving free days. Arnside itself is a lovely village, would recommend this property.
Dear Jean, thank you for your feedback, were so glad you enjoyed your stay and exploring this wonderful area. Its nice that you could make use of the local train as well, so that you had driving free days. That is a bonus. So much to see and do from the doorstep. We do hope you will visit us again. "Fabulous accommodation: overlooking the estuary we definitely felt we were in a Crow's Nest."
The view constantly changed and provided excellent bird-nerding. We had a 50 Shades of Grey week but coming back each night was a joy as we watched the sky change from rainbow spectrum to gold to crimson. Delightful.
Thank you from your feedback. We’re so pleased that you had a lovely holiday and enjoyed our wonderful views and this beautiful area. There’s a lot to explore in this smallest AONB in the country. Property Owner

"We have just spent a fantastic week at Arnside."
The property couldn't have been better. It was very well decorated, extremely clean and very well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Lots of leaflets and information on what to do during your stay and also games for those quiet nights in. The views from the accommodation was spectacular, it was worth the 36 steps climb to see it. It certainly kept us fit during our stay. I would definitely recommend this property to stay.

"Lovely and very well equipped apartment."
Furnished to a very height standard with plenty of cooking utensils. Lovely bottle of wine for us on our arrival and some biscuits made the kids day. Only slight gripe was the main bed was incredibly squeaky, maybe the bolts needed tightened. The area itself was very quiet but good for exploring the local area and only 30 mins from Morecambe and the Lake District.
Dear Mrs Musetti. Thank you for your feedback which is very helpful for us. We will ensure that the bolts on the king sized bed are tightened up immediately we wouldn’t have known without your feedback. We hope you will consider visiting us again kind regards Kaye & David Sorrell Property Owner

Only negative is if you are staying with an elderly relative then the stairs can be difficult.
