  • "Yet another fantastic trip to Netherscar."

Having stayed many times over the last 22 years we never fail to be amazed by the constantly changing views and peacefulness of the house. Improvements have been made since our last visit which have added to the overall comfort of the house without changing its character. Superb walking from the door means you never have to travel far.

Many thanks for your lovely feedback and glad you like the improvements we've made since your last visit. We hope you have a lovely Christmas and look forward to seeing you all again soon Property Owner

  • "This was our second visit to Nethersca and it didn't disappoint in fact it was much improved from our previous visit three years earlier."

Fantastic panoramic views of the valley and viaduct so peaceful and comfortable. We actually made up our first real fire since we were children. Would recommend it to everyone but would on the otherhand like to keep it our own little secret.

Many thanks for your kind words and great score. Glad you like the improvements we made since your last visit. We look forward to seeing you again soon at Netherscar Property Owner

It is all about the location, which obviously hasn't changed, with everything else being clean, functional and well equipped. Loved it and will be back sooner next time.

  • "A sign at the top of the road/drive way indicating Netherscar would be helpful."

To have recycle bins would be useful as we are trying to be kind to the environment.

  • "Our stay at Netherscar was amazing- well equipped and cosy property with stunning views and a huge garden which the kids couldn't get enough of."

The location offers complete quiet and unique views, the owners were very friendly and quick to help and communicated well, and the house is sizeable and just modern enough- access to this location is a bumpy but accessible mile long private road through the owners working farm, any vehicle can do it if careful and well maintained, and the nature of the place and area means compromises like peaty water, low water pressure and a fair amount of bugs! None of which matters when you see the view, both from the amazing sun room and the expansive garden. Can't recommend enough.

  • "This was our 3rd stay here - and we’ve already got another stay booked."

We love it, it is so incredibly peaceful and idyllic. The cottage is really well equipped, we only ate out once this time and cooked meals in the kitchen the rest of the week as there was literally everything you could possibly need. We first came when our children were small, now they are adults themselves, but still wouldn’t miss a family trip to Netherscar.

  • "This was a beautiful place to stay, stunning panoramic views and a spacious house."

beautiful walks straight from the house. We loved it. The only negative was that the lovely sun lounge was out of bounds to dogs. as it’s the room with the view we obviously wanted to spend our time there, so very disappointed that we couldn’t go in there with the dog. The notice states that the floor will get scratched, but if you keep your dogs claws groomed I can’t see that there could possibly be an issue. I think the listing should make it very clear that dogs can’t go in the sun lounge. other than that it was lovely, and we got used to drinking the peaty brown water!

  • "I mistimed my return to the cottage one day and had great difficulty opening a gate and closing it after I had driven through."

The gate was broken and not on any hinges and very heavy. It was lucky I was in my walking gear and not good clothes.

  • "Netherscar was ideal for us."

Accommodating our 2 dogs as well as catering for a family. The remoteness was just what we were looking for to birdwatch and spot hares....perfect. Thank you for sharing your world !

  • "Beautiful location in the middle of nowhere - The cottage is in desperate need of renovation and a real good deep clean."

This could be an amazing cottage. Water supply was a shock.... having to bathe in brown water. The cottage itself is in a perfect location for rambling/walks , but needs a revamp.
