This lovely cottage is just a mile and a half from Coniston Village and is the ideal cottage for a romantic break in tranquil and mesmerising scenery.
This gorgeous cottage provides superb accommodation with a cosy, first floor sitting room with a woodburner and a dining area, whilst downstairs there is a kitchen with breakfast bar.
This cottage is elegantly decorated with soft contemporary styling and as soon as you step inside you will feel at home in this little gem.
The ground floor bedroom has a super king-size double bed and a bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath.
Stepping outside, amidst the owner’s grounds, there is a pretty garden area with spectacular views across Coniston Water to the Old Man of Coniston beyond.
It’s the sort of place where you will take a book to read but not turn a page, as the vista before you will simply captivate you, an enviable spot to while away an afternoon or evening.
The landscape is spectacular around every corner, with lakes and mountains, and with footpaths running in every direction leading to pretty Lakeland villages or through the Grizedale Forest.
Guests can wander down to the lakeshore and hop on board the Steam Yacht Gondola at the head of Coniston Water and cruise down the lake to Brantwood, the former home of John Ruskin, where there are beautiful gardens.
Alternatively, go across the water to the Bluebird Café for a delicious snack.
The charming village of Hawkshead has a host of individual shops to explore plus some superb inns.
Coniston Village has the Ruskin Museum where you can learn all about this fascinating area, including Donald Campbell’s fatal attempt in Bluebird to break the World Water Speed Record.
After a visit to the museum why not pop in the Black Bull Inn to sample a pint of Bluebird, which is brewed in the village?
Whenever you choose to stay at this cottage, you will leave feeling refreshed, relaxed and possibly in love with this magical part of the Lake District!
