  • "We stayed for a week and the cottage was better than expected - spotlessly clean with brilliant en suites/bathrooms, very comfortable beds and everything you would need for a short break."

The area was so peaceful and quiet and the hot tub was fantastic for relaxing in. The lounge area could possibly be set up differently and the sofa seemed to slide around a little, but other than that it was a great house. Not quite sure how 8 adults would all fit (there was 4 of us) but the out door space more than makes up for it.

  • "Wow! Such a beautiful house for a weekend with friends in the Lakes!"

I sometimes worry that a rental property will not live up to the pictures online, however, this property excelled in all areas. From the minute we stepped out the car we instantly fell in love with the house - the cleanliness outside was second to none, and the views and space you have outdoors is fantastic! The hot tub was amazing, and the large patio area was great for Al Fresco dining! The inside of the property was equally as clean, and very spacious. All rooms were stunning and the beds - SO comfy, we didn’t want to leave! The only criticism we would have is no basic condiments were provided. A simple welcome hamper would be a lovely touch with potentially 2 large bottles of water, milk, sugar, salt & pepper and kitchen roll. Other than this, we have no other negative comments, and would fully recommend this property!

  • "We didn't find the linen bags."

. and didn't know how the heating worked. However facilities were fantastic and well thought through from light switches to electrical USB plug sockets. Rest of the instructions were perfect, a little more guidance on dishwasher and dryer maybe useful.. otherwise perfect.. Thank you.

  • "A fabulous place, felt like we were the first to stay there it was so clean."

Beds incredibly comfortable. Great location, so peaceful yet only a short drive to Kendal and the Yorkshire dales. Maybe add some robe hooks on doors is the only constructive thing!!

  • "We had a great week, the house was really comfy and perfect for three mature couples to share."

The hot tub was delightful. It was really nice to meet the owner on arrival and chat about the history of the house. Lovely location, not far from the motorway or from Kendal but surrounded by peaceful countryside. Fresh flowers in the house was a lovely touch. Suggestions: a welcome tray on arrival to make a cup of coffee/tea after the journey would have been nice. We found the only chopping/cheese board was cracked when we went to use it and a set of chopping boards would have been useful. A roll of kitchen towel on the empty holder would be nice also as the rest of the house was so well equipped. We couldn't find any black linen bags at the end of our stay so left the linen on the bathroom floor. Overall a really lovely stay, thank you.

We think it would be helpful if salt & pepper, Trays, Back up loo roll, Another small drink table on patio, a table that is hot tub high to put drinks on, Local walk maps, Drinks / bottle fridge in utility, Throws for decking..more lamps in the sitting room .

Beck View is in a very quiet and peaceful area with lovely views of the countryside. The outside area is well kept and very clean, as is the Hot Tub. The beds are so comfortable. The same 8 people went this time as last and all agreed it was like going home. We would highly recommend this property.

  • "A spacious property, with easy access to Kendal and the lake district and just 4 minutes from the M6 so easy access to many other places such as Morecambe and Hawes (Yorkshire Dales)."

Due to the amount of rain the beck was running quite full and was a little noisy at night when all was quiet. Watching, from the inside sitting area, the squirrels and birds having their breakfast of berries on the bushes was a lovely start to each day. A lovely country retreat for the week.

  • "We were very happy with everything about this property."

The only thing that I need to mention is the fact it might be an idea to have a few more tea mugs. There are 8 but one did have a large crack down it and the liquid slowly leaked out. So maybe a few spares would be an idea. Other than that everything was perfect.

  • "Fabulous place to stay."

It looks as if everything has been thought through very carefully and it’s very well appointed and also very spacious. Although it’s next to a road, it’s one that’s only used by locals or farmers, so it’s actually very quiet. Sheep and cows in the fields opposite are the main view, which makes it a very tranquil stay. The hot tub is an added bonus. Kendal is only a short drive away so for us it was all positives and no negatives. Even the weather was good enough to sit on the terrace to eat breakfast on a couple of days! I’m already recommending it to friends! Great place to get away from it all.

  • "The cottage was gorgeous and the views were amazing especially when the sun was setting."

The place was so clean, fresh and modern the only thing that we would say is the check in was late 5pm so we felt like we missed a full day and the check out was early 10am so we thought it could’ve been later considering check in wasn’t till 5pm but overall the cottage was brilliant would definitely go back.
