"What an amazing place."
The property is stunning from the outside and inside. The apartment was very spacious and had everything we needed. The grounds are very well maintained and plenty of activities for the kids. We will be staying again!

"We're staying in Stone Cross for a few months due to building works at home and the team have been fantastic at helping us feel at home here."
The combination of historic building with modern apartments is excellent - lots of space in each room, really comfortable beds and good storage options - everything we need as we manage work and school. Outside, the grounds are beautiful and peaceful for strolling through or relaxing on a bench. Inside, the pool table, table top football and board games are a welcome addition. Ulverston offers the advantage of being near to the lakes without the crowds in the lake district towns so would definitely recommend to holidaymakers.

"We had a wonderful stay at Stone Cross Mansion."
The apartment was large and comfortable, fitted with beautiful furniture and furnishings, and had a modern kitchen which made cooking an enjoyable experience. My two children enjoyed sleeping in the bunk beds. They also loved the games they could pick to play with from the bookcase in the shared lift lobby. We will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Ulverston is a traditional market town built around a cobbled main street. It boasts a fine selection of independent shops, café’s, and pubs with open fires and real ales. There is an extensive selection of eating places to suit everyone, from fine dining to traditional pub food. Ulverston is also well known as a festival town, with events ranging from flags and walking to art and music festivals throughout the summer months and with the renowned Dickensian Christmas festival in late November. It is the birthplace of Stan Laurel and world record holder of the biggest foam pie fight in the world giving a glimpse into the fun community spirited little town. There are excellent walks around the town and beautiful countryside, with views of the southern Lake District and Morecambe Bay. Home to the deepest, widest and shortest canal, which makes for a lovely afternoon walk with a pub at the end and views over the bay. All of the attractions of the National Park are also easily reached. The Furness Coast boasts sandy beaches and good birdwatching. Nearby family attractions include the South Lakes Wild Animal Park, Lakes Windermere and Coniston and popular Birkrigg Common, with its incredible panoramic views across Morecambe Bay.
