  • "Would prefer main bedroom en suite so bathroom would serve the twin room , other than that everything first class"

  • "Fantastic property, looked great on website but even better in reality."

So good we found it hard to go out and explore! Everything top quality, its hard to believe someone would put such effort into a holiday let, will be back soon. Windermere is a great little place to stay, quieter than Bowness but an easy walk in, some fantastic places to eat and drink.

  • "I have stayed at many places and this has to be one of the best, sykes made the booking process very easy and the accommodation exceeded all expectations, the house has everything!"

The pictures don't really show off how big the place actually is and even when arriving it didn't look as big as once you actually get inside, the house was very spacious especially for our full party of adults. Windermere Town is a roads walk away which was very handy for breakfasts and getting all the essentials we needed. Would definitely recommend and will 100% come back in the future.

Crookleigh House is a jewel in this location. Very modern features throughout the house. Te Cinema room was amazing - the icing on the cake.

  • "We had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay, despite the weather!"

A coffee table in the lounge was the only missing item!

  • "Amazing stay, would hugely recommend!"

5 star accommodation with amazing cinema room which 100% made the stay. Great location. Only things to note - when we arrived there was a mouldy apple under the table & a dirty nappy left in one of the bedroom bins. No complimentary toiletries, not enough toilet roll or dishwasher tablets for our 5 night stay. Also would have been nice to have garden chairs outside. However, this would not put us off staying again!

Thank you for taking the time to feedback after your recent stay at Woodlands Boutique at Crookleigh House. We are thrilled to hear you had a wonderful week! The Owner has taken a lot of time and effort into building this beautiful holiday home so we are glad to hear you enjoyed it. We are sorry to hear of the cleaning deficiencies we have raised this with the Housekeeper - we apologise profusely for this. Regarding the toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets, we have encouraged all of our owners to only leave 1 toilet roll per toilet just to get guests started. Lastly the property has some chairs in the front garden and has some outside seating on order for the rear as well but it has been delayed. Hopefully it will be in place if you return. Thanks again. This beautifully presented Victorian mid-terrace property enjoys a central location within the bustling town of Windermere, in the heart of the Lake District National Park.

Boasting period Victorian features and boutique furnishings across four floors, this magnificent dwelling offers a sumptuous base for families and friends to call home for a while, with easy access to the attractions and wonderfully diverse terrains of the Lakes.

As you arrive at the property, enter the open-plan living space and sink into the comfy sofas, tuning into the 55” Smart TV in search of a favourite film.

The elegant dining room is where all can gather to enjoy a home-cooked meal, prepared in the contemporary kitchen with assistance from the electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and even a washer/dryer, so you can freshen up your clothes after a day of exploring.

Move through the house to find the basement, home to a fabulous cinema converted cinema room with your very own drinks cooler and popcorn maker!

Enjoy movie nights on the 4K OLED TV Cinema, with leather reclining cinema seats and Dolby Atmos Surround Sound Speakers adding to the experience, what more could you ask for?

When the night rolls in and its time to rest your head, climb the stairs to the first floor, where you will find the master bedroom hosting a king-size bed with lavish freestanding bath, perfect for a soothing soak after a day of rambles.

Also on this floor is a double with en-suite shower and a twin served by a shower room, whilst the second floor hosts a double with en-suite shower, accommodating for up to eight guests.

Each bedroom has been thoughtfully decorated, with Smart TVs for convenience and glamorous touches for style.

Take a favourite drink outside at rest at the bench, savouring the last of the summer sun as you gaze out over the surrounding cottages.

Windermere boasts a plethora of amenities; give the chef a break by ordering a local takeaway, or venture into the town to dine at one of the many restaurants, perhaps at Francine’s for some fresh seafood or the Gilpin Spice for some continental Asian dishes.

Windermere has plenty of attractions to keep you busy throughout your stay, including the Windermere Jetty Musuem, which offers an insight into the boating history of the Lakelands, or hop on board the traditional steamer and enjoy a cruise across the lake.
