"The property was exactly as described, with thoughtful personal touches that made it feel especially welcoming."
The location is excellent, with several well-known attractions within an hour’s drive. Our family had a wonderful time exploring the Yorkshire Dales and relaxing in the cottage—thank you so much!

"We have just spent a lovely weekend in this beautiful house, it had a fully equipped kitchen with everything that we needed."
The house was very warm and spacious. The hot tub was a much needed added bonus after a long walk through the hills. This house is very dog friendly with blankets for the settees for them to sit with us after a day of walking. The communication from the owner was great, on the first day he messaged with contact details if we had any issues, there was even a problem with the gas in the whole of the village and again the owner messaged to apologise. The local pub is a 2 minute walk away serving delicious food, it was lovely to sit by the open fire. We would definitely stay in this house again, it was a home from home experience

"Chaple Croft is a cosy home just off the main street of Long Preston."
The kitchen is well equiped for your self catering needs. The hot tub is a bonus (one of the reasons we chose this property) with dressing gowns and towels provided. It has it's own parking space which fits two vehicles. Wi-Fi is good with no issues. It is well situated to either access some local walks or to travel only a short distance to some Yorkshire Dales highlights. We would have happily stayed longer and would love to return. The owner and house keeper are friendly and make themselves known in case you have any queries.

"Beautiful cottage, had everything we needed for our time away, its the little touches like the lovely welcome pack and a message from the owner hoping we have a lovely stay (which we did), the hot tub was great to relax in after all the walking we did and the Maypole pub across the road was very friendly and good food, we would definitely stay here again."

"Beautiful cottage, the pictures don’t do it justice."
Lovely and warm for us on arrival: beautifully furnished and well equipped. Great location - we enjoyed dinner and a quiz at the maypole on Friday evening and a wonderful walk up to settle on the Saturday. We loved the hot tub which was clean and perfectly heated for us. Just a couple of things - half the lights were out in the upstairs bathroom and the window latch was broken on the upstairs window above the radiator in the hallway. It would be great to have some extra mugs. I think there were 5 which isn’t really enough for 4 adults. Kitchen otherwise was beautifully equipped. In summary we loved it and didn’t want to leave. Thanks so much for having us.

"What a lovely cottage, well kitted out and in a great location."
The hot tub was amazing – with dressing gowns and spa slippers provided! Everything was clean and tidy and we had lovely welcome pack. It is dog friendly (and I mean dog friendly, not just “allows dogs”), with covers to put on the settee's and even spare dog bowls in the cupboard in case we'd forgotten the doggy crockery! There are great walks from the cottage and it's only ½hr drive from Malham and all that area has to offer as well. Would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this dog friendly home."
Throws provided, water bowls, fully enclosed back garden. Nice welcome pack on arrival, wine, milk, cake etc. lovely comfortable beds, plenty of towels. Well equipped kitchen. Warm lounge with comfy sofas. Room for two cars parked straight outside. Village pub and post office/shop within walking distance. Would definitely go back when in that area again.

"A lovely, comfortable cottage, well-equipped with most things covered for our needs."
Cottage is in a good location for easy access to the Three Peaks, Malham Cove, Grassington, Kettlewell and Skipton. Hot tub was a bonus and lovely to relax in after a long day walking. Maypole Inn good for an evening meal and nearby village shop also useful.

"Great location for walks."
We had a few issues (dishwasher broke) and ultimately that's where you see what the service is like. We couldn't fault the communication and service we received and would definitely consider staying again at the property. Great owners who clearly go out of their way to ensure you have a good stay. Loved the welcome pack.

Would highly recommend. Everything you need for a fabulous stay. We really enjoyed the hot tub as well. Thank you so very much. Look forward to visiting again.

"Beautiful house in the Yorkshire Dales, close to Skipton, Settle, Malham Cove and would be a good base for the Yorkshire Three Peaks."
Good communication from the owner, Jim, on arrival. The house has everything needed for a relaxing stay. We especially liked the smart TV and the hot tub was fantastic, with robes and slippers provided. We enjoyed a meal at The Maypole pub in the village, a good choice of menu including vegetarian options. We would happily return.

"Beautiful cottage great hot tub would highly recommended only two problems need ..."
Beautiful cottage great hot tub would highly recommended only two problems need addressing first could not open the front door as apparently you need a certain knack to access thank you to Becky otherwise we would have still been there now secondly the second main bedroom mattress was like sleeping on iron l like a firm mattress but that was ridiculous otherwise fantastic
Hi Sam, Many thanks for your feedback, very helpful. The front door lock is now sorted and a new mattress for the second double bedroom is on its way. We hope to see you again. Best wishes, Jim Property Owner

"A beautiful hidden little gem, all the home comforts needed for a relaxing staycation."
Jim the owner was lovely, texted to make sure we had arrived and was settled and how our break was going, we had the house keepers number also, incase we needed anything. Beautiful decor and furnishings both inside and out. Lots of privacy whilst out in the beautiful garden, parking for 2 cars in a lovely village, pub and store within a 2 minute walk. Great location for Settle, Skipton and surrounding areas. Will definitely stay again.

"The cottage was just perfect and the welcome pack and flowers were a lovely touch"
-
"It was extremely well equipped with lots of extras to make the stay comfortable."
The cottage was very clean but not immaculate. The welcome food pack was of very high quality products. The only thing that we would recommend - is somewhere to dry washing ( we did not do) or damp towels. Apologies if this is something that we overlooked. There where a few small maintenance issues that required attention. However these did not detract from our comfort.

"I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming three-bedroom holiday let, and I can confidently say it exceeded all my expectations."
Nestled in a nice, quiet location, it provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. There is a local shop 1 minute walk away which had a good selection of goods and a local pub 2 minutes walk from the property. Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed by the comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The property was immaculately clean and equipped with everything needed for a fantastic stay – from kitchen essentials to cozy linens. Each room was tastefully decorated, creating a warm and welcoming environment. One of the highlights of my stay was the wonderful hot tub. There’s nothing quite like unwinding in the soothing waters while enjoying the serene surroundings. It truly was the cherry on top of an already delightful experience. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or a base to explore the nearby attractions, this holiday let is an ideal choice. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable getaway. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

"We had a lovely stay here."
The cottage was in a good position for walks with some great ones right from the door. It was well equipped in the kitchen with everything you would need. The oven hob and microwave all easy to use.Nice welcome pack when you arrive. Hot tub a bonus for relaxing in after a good walk. The bed was so comfy we slept better here than at home. The pub in the village the Maypole is worth a visit, we had the steak and Ale pie and it was amazing.

The cottage is very spacious and we were provided with everything that we needed. It was a lovely touch to be provided with robes and slippers for the hot tub. One thing that was missing was wine glasses but there was tumblers and prosecco glasses. Thank you for a very comfortable stay.

Where you’ll be staying
LONG PRESTON
Settle 4 miles; Malham 4 miles; Skipton 12 miles.
Long Preston is an attractive Yorkshire Dales village in Ribblesdale, twelve miles from Skipton (popularly known as the 'Gateway to the Dales'), four miles from Settle. To the north, the landscape rises to the fells, moors and picturesque valleys of the Dales; to the south are the wetlands of the Ribble Valley which, in turn, sweep upward to the magnificent wilderness of Bowland. The village benefits from several large, tree lined, village greens, with footpaths leading direct to the surrounding hills, and it also boasts two excellent pubs with first rate cuisine. The railway station on the edge of the village provides access to the famous Settle-Carlisle Railway line which crosses some of the most beautiful and inspiring upland scenery in the country. Nearby Settle is a bustling market town with a weekly market, the centre being dominated by the Shambles, an historic 3-storey building with shops on two levels and houses above, and the Town Hall.
