  • "We booked a last minute stay at Gordona as we took our elderly Mum for a summer break whilst the weather was good."

It suited her needs and she really enjoyed the stay. The positives for us were that it was all ground level other than one step from bedroom to lounge area. The bedrooms were spacious and beds comfortable and the shower was good. It was very peaceful so we had a good nights sleep. We were in a motorhome and were able to park immediately outside the property and so get any extras from there. We were only a short drive from the car park adjacent to the beach and mini railway. There was a great fish and chip shop a few minutes away and a good chinese delivery in the town. We booked the property on the day of arrival and the property owner was accommodating and responded to any queries we had about wifi, bins etc. Could be better: I acknowledge some of the other reviews e.g. in terms of the accuracy of the listing I would not call it 'sleek' or 'fantastic' as it only had basic equipment, but we were fortunate in that we could bring in any extras and home comforts from our motorhome such as candles and cushions and even a small fold up coffee table. The track to the property was off putting as we arrived with scrap wood on the side of the track (and what looked like a scrapyard) but it really didn't affect our stay as it was very quiet whilst we were there and the people were friendly. Yes the garden could benefit from weeding and TLC (and the property owner did apologise for that), however the patio doors were large and we kept cool in the very warm weather.

Very disappointed as the bungalow is a different colour to the one on the site, also i dont think anybody has done any weeding in months, its also up for sale, the curtains in the lounge area have mould on the bottom of them , there has been a leak in the kitchen and nobody has redecorated

  • "Only one thing has impacted my review and unfortunately the bed sheets had mould stains on them."

I think they had been washed since the mould developed but we had to go and get sleeping bags.

Thanks for your feedback, I have informed the cleaners and the sheet will be disposed and replaced with new ones. Looking forward to welcoming you again in the future. Property Owner

  • "Avoid at all costs, book somewhere else!"

The property is poorly equipped, poorly furnished, dirty! If you have children, it's dangerous as it's up a dirt track with a deep dyke opposite!! There is nothing to stop a child running out to it!!! The bedding is cheap and old! More like a bale hostal! The garden has astro turf plocked on uneven ground with large rocks just plonked on it!! Dangerous furniture that looks like it's come out of a skip!!! NOTHING good. Oh and to top it all by prepared to be blocked in by an awefull man with a lorry next door. We booked 3 nights but only stayed one!! Felt so dirty afterwards. Heed my warning, Owner has the property up for sale and only in it to make a quick buck at holiday makers expense!!

We are sorry to hear that your stay was not as it should have been. Here at Gordana we try to ensure our property is up to the best of standards, and welcoming to all. You did not contact us to make us aware of the issues you faced, we would have done our utmost to help you. It is clear on the listing that it is not an enclosed garden and we will amend this further to make it even clearer. The rear garden is fully enclosed but the front parking is not fenced/enclosed.
