  • "Overall we had a great stay in the property that is in a good location with comfy beds and really nice bath/shower/kitchen, just a few niggles let it down."

Overall cleanliness, filthy blinds/extractor fan in bathroom, not vacuumed under chairs/sofas/beds, old clothes left under bed. No vacuum cleaner to use or clothes horse as the property’s yard with washing line is touching distance behind a fence from a cafe kitchen which they have the door open all day and can smell the cooking. Although there is a long stay car park nearby they do charge £5 a day as stated in the description they also charge £10 if you leave the car overnight so the parking charge for the week was quite hefty. But saying this we still had a good holiday and Barmouth is a great place.

  • "Overall we enjoyed our stay at the cottage."

It is really quirky and full of character. The location is amazing as its so central in the town. The bathrooms were lovely and clean and there was always plenty of hot water. The bathroom on the top floor is stunning. We slept well as the beds were comfortable and enjoyed relaxing in the TV lounge. However, there were a few small niggles during our stay. On arrival it would have been useful to have a welcome sheet or pack of some sort with key information, including about where to put rubbish- we had to keep taking it out in small bags and disposing of it in the street bins. A larger brush for sweeping the floor would have been handy, we had 2 small children with us who inevitably dropped food on the kitchen floor and cleaning the tiles wasn't easy with the small dustpan and brush. On our first day I had to wash a lot of the kitchen utensils, crockery and pans before we could use them as there was food or grease left on them, I understand that this is down to previous guests but feel that this should be checked before arrival as it was very obvious. There were a lot of cobwebs, I know its an old building but they were in the corners of every room with quite a lot of spiders. There is also a strong musty smell on the bottom floor so we only stayed down there when necessary for cooking and eating. Overall it was a good stay despite those few niggles and we would return as the location was fantastic.

  • "This is the second time that we’ve stayed at the cottage."

We love the location and the fact that we can walk to everything easily. The cottage is comfortable and cosy. The only downside is having to pay to park on the big car park, £11 for 24 hours adds quite a bit onto the holiday cost. Also we have never been able to work out where the wheelie bin is!! Lots of bins but can’t find the one for the cottage. We took all of our rubbish away with us on both holidays. Saying that, we would definitely stay again.

  • "What a lovely town Barmouth is and the sun shone for us all week."

The cottage was in a great location for everything … shops, restaurants and the beach. It contained everything you could possibly need, even a library and the bonus of an enclosed courtyard for our little dog, Nancy. Only having a shower at home, I took full advantage of the lovely bath on the top floor. Only downside is the strong musty/damp smell in the ground floor lounge but apart from that … a perfect break.

  • "Wonderful location and accomodations."

Check-in and -out were easy. We did want to pass along that the first floor shower drain was running slowly. Did not disrupt our stay, but worth checking out before it gets worse.

  • "A lovely quirky cottage in the heart of Barmouth."

The stairs in the property are very steep. Other than a manual for the cooker there were no other instructions for the property. The central heating is controlled by hive. The controller is on the wall next to the TV. The TV uses a firestick for its channels, this is fine if you are familiar with this but no instructions if you aren't. The bi's are a complete mystery as there appears to be no recycling facilities for the cottage. The neighbours are very protective of there own facilities. Eventually found green bin marked Ian which we were told was for cottage. Although we had no problem parking to unload in high season this would definitely be more difficult but there are plenty of car parks nearby. The PCSO's on the town enforce the restrictions fairly vigorously.Overall we had a nice stay thank you

We really enjoyed our stay and the cottage is lovely, might be a bit cramped for 6 but we found it perfect for 2 adults and 2 children.

  • "A lovely cottage although parking is a bit of an issue, having to keep moving the car, so to avoid parking fees."

The heating was a bit intermittent, when it would go off the times you needed it on ? Being old school, we had trouble using the job, even with the instructions

I’m glad you enjoyed the property The heating is now controlled by hive so is constant. There has never been parking at the property however on the one way system parking is allowed up to 1hr free between 9am-5pm there is parking available less than 3 minutes away at £5 per day or, I normally park down side streets by fair which is free and only 5min walk Property Owner
