"Really welcoming home with great facilities."
"Great accommodation in a lovely quiet area."
Very private and within easy reach of amenities and the Broads. We appreciated the box of goodies left by the owners and the kitchen was well equipped. Fortunately the hosts had provided a fan which became essential due to the hot weather. Would recommend and hope to book again in the future.
Thank you for your lovely feedback! Much appreciated leaving everything so clean and tidy! Many Thanks Mark & Teresa Property Owner
"This is the second time we have stayed at End Retreat and cannot recommend it enough."
Secluded but within an easy drive to Wroxham or an approx 2.5 mile walk along mainly quiet country lanes. The property has all that a couple could want and with its own parking space there is no hassle trying to park. For anyone wanting a quiet location but within easy reach of the main towns this is for us an ideal location. For a trip into Norwich with all it has to offer just drive to Sprowston to catch the Park & Ride. Free parking (it is covered by the bus ticket) and certainly beats ‘fighting’ the traffic then having to locate appropriate car parks in Norwich. Any queries or problems(doubtful) the owners are very helpful. We thoroughly recommend End Retreat.
Thank you very much for your lovely review , we are glad you enjoyed your week! Many thanks Mark & Teresa Property Owner
"Very comfortable and spotlessly clean , beautiful location , hope to return"
"A cosy little property, with just about everything you need for a comfortable stay."
Very well situated, with just a short drive to a whole host of great places. Lovely and quiet except for the birdlife; if you're a light sleeper (as I am) then I recommend bringing a pair of earplugs to allow you to sleep through the 5am dawn chorus! The little private garden was the perfect place for a relaxing breakfast before setting out to explore Norfolk. And having a proper Sky Q box was an unexpected little treat for the evenings after a long day walking along beaches or investigating mediaeval churches.
"Would have loved a washing machine"
"A compact apartment offers a base for touring the broads & local area."
Clean & tidy with a lovely welcome pack, with own seculed garden.

Lovely stay a good base camp with everything you need good secure garden for the dog and the welcome basket was a lovely touch and appreciated thank you
"End Retreat is a lovely clean, comfortable property."
It is in a quiet country location but ideally placed to reach so many places. Although not large it was big enough for two as intended. Mark had left a lovely welcome pack and came to check all was ok. It's always reassuring to have the owner close by. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. Thank you.
Thankyou for your lovely comments! We are glad you enjoyed your stay! Many thanks Mark & Teresa End retreat Property Owner
"The cottage was well presented, clean and comfortable and in a pleasant location, We were met by the Owner who was very pleasant."
I would add that the Light Railway alluded to in the directions is no longer there and SYKES shoud remove it from the directions supplied. Overall I would rate my stay as Very Good, we enjoyed the wild life (Pigeons) in the garden. Should I consider a holiday in Norfolk Its a place I would book again.
"End Retreat was very nice but downstairs a bit cramped."
Luckily we had excellent weather and so made good use of the outside covered patio to eat our meals. Lovely shady garden which was secluded. Not many extras included e.g. no liquid soap in bathroom or kitchen. We did speak to owner who managed to supply us with one bottle. Only one toilet roll supplied. We managed but used to more being offered. No extras for cleaning kitchen e.g. only one J cloth. No scouring pad. No dishwasher. Washing up liquid cheap and not very good. Difficult to clean pans No usual condiments supplied. We did not think to bring salt and pepper as always supplied. Nice to have flowers on table and some goodies in pack but don't think a toilet roll and washing up liquid are goodies. They are necessities. If owners want their property left clean they should provide the appropriate cleaning things.Wonder if this is a fairly new holiday let and owners following Sykes guide as other places we have stayed have always supplied more. Only basic amount of glasses. Only 2 wine glasses necessitation frequent washing up Owner seemed friendly. Never saw his partner.
Hi Alix sorry for lack of extras but these are only complimentary items to help on your arrival! As for cleaning items I thoroughly clean the cottage when guests depart, so there for I don't expect my guests to clean before they leave, there for no cleaning products left! As for a dishwasher it isn't stated on the website! We have been receiving guests for the last seven years and none of your comments have been suggested before! Therefore we will take on board your comments to improve future guests stays! Kind regards End retreat Property Owner
"We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay at End Retreat."
The decor was of a high standard and the garden secluded and delightful. The welcome pack of soft drink, tea, coffee, biscuits, flowers and dog treats was very touching. Thank Stuart and Sharon.
"Lovely location, ideal for a couple wanting peace and quiet but near enough to Wroxham to be there by car in approx 8-10 mins or a about a 40min walk."
Owners very pleasant and obliging. Certainly would recommend
"A lovely quiet place to stay."
A bit too far to walk to a pub or restaurant but that didn’t bother us. The second time we have been would recommend it.
"End Retreat is a lovely holiday let."
We have been many times and love it. The owner is really nice and helpful. The place is spotless and has everything you need and is really comfortable. Not far from Wroxham. We can't wait to go again.
"Lovely peaceful place to stay, spotless and comfortable."
Owner was very nice and helpful. There was a lovely box of goodies to welcome us. Perfect retreat for couples wanting peace and quiet. Central fir the Broads and the coast. Would highly recommend.
Plenty to do and see within easy reach. The accommodation was easy to access on arrival. Pleasant and helpful owners on site. Accommodation was comfortable and thoughtfully furnished.
"Lovely clean quiet little semi cottage, set up a narrow road."
Enjoyed sitting on the decking in the evening. Grateful for the fan in the bedroom. Owners very helpful.
"Lovely little flat in a very quiet part of Norfolk, ideal for either the broads or the coats (North/East) just big enough for 2 people, plenty of places to eat out, nice dog walk either a 1 mile or 1."
5 mile loop straight from the house. But there are plenty of other walks nearby. Just over 2 miles North of Hoveton, which is where the Bure Valley Trail (9.8 mile) starts for either walkers or cyclists, don't need an MTB a road bike will do. All the facilities in the flat you would need, our only criticism would be the bed was too low (in our 60's) & to get wet in the shower you had to run around, but these are minor points to what was a wonderful stay.
"Great location for exploring Norfolk, lovely well equipped accommodation and friendly owners."
"End Retreat, is situated in a rural setting, about 2 miles away from Wroxham."
It is quiet and peaceful, with a nice south facing patio. Nice quiet roads and nearby footpaths for dog walking.
"We appreciated the flowers and the wine once I’d mentioned that we were on our honeymoon"
"The location is a bit off the beaten track, which suited us as we prefer a quiet spot."
However, we were within very easy reach of Wroxham which is an excellent gateway to the Broads and which also provides a useful selection of shops. We were also within comfortable reach of the north Norfolk coast ,several beautiful National Trust properties, steam railway trips and all the highlights of Norwich. While there were inevitable restrictions owing to the pandemic, we felt very safe everywhere we went . The property gave us effective WiFi, but we were unable to access a phone signal from the accommodation itself, although we could phone from the car on our trips out during the day.
"End retreat was absolutely wonderful It was clean and comfortable, and we had a lovely 4 night break It was great to come back from a day out to a cosy warm cottage, it had everything you needed and Mark the owner popped in on his way from work to check everything was ok It was tucked away in a rural area which is lovely and quiet The only one negative was the bed was so low we struggled to get out of it, but that is personal preference and it was very comfortable just low."
"Did not like the towels a bit thin but other than that it was very good"
"The property is beautifully appointed with everything one could wish for provided."
Mark was very friendly and helpful and made sure we were comfortable. The instructions given beforehand were very helpful. We would certainly consider a return visit.
"The accommodation was very clean and well presented."
The owner left a good welcome pack of drinks and biscuits And a vase of fresh flowers. The property was 3 miles from Wroxham which suited us well as it was very quiet and peaceful. A great relaxing holiday.
"Very clean, great location, peaceful and quiet, warm welcome when we arrived, felt like a real home from home"
"Had a great week on the edge of the broads."
In a secluded spot just a short drive from wroxham, the cottage was a lovely comfortable hideaway after a days walking. The owner is very friendly and helpful.
"This was my first self catering holiday for years and I was really pleased with the quality of the house which is ideal for two people."
The garden was beautifully done and we spent every evening using it to eat outside. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you needed if you wanted to cook every evening.Mark the owner was lovely.I cannot recommend this property highly enough.l
"Enjoyed our stay, very clean & well presented."
Location ideal for visiting coast, broads & Norwich .
"Property excellent, weather good"
"Spent four days in this delightful accommodation."
We were given a friendly welcome by the owner after a long journey and were not disappointed with the house when we were shown around. The house was clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. The house is not over large but perfect for a couple on a short holiday. The house is in a lovely location and central to lots of places to visit. we would definitely recommend this accommodation.
"Mark, the owner, made us feel very welcome and a few essentials were supplied on our arrival."
As we like to self-cater, the cottage was extremely well-equipped for this. The bed was very comfortable and it was nice to have a full Sky service. We would certainly return. Many thanks for contributing to a brilliant holiday.
"Most enjoyable one of the best properties we have stayed in but you need to ..."
Most enjoyable one of the best properties we have stayed in but you need to update your pictures as new decking has been laid and the large top to bottom window has been removed enjoyed Wroxham aria nice trip on the broads can recommend Liberty’s for coffee nice girls and hot coffee as well Fairhaven country park very good
"Nice friendly people Great accommodation And luckily nice weather."
"Poor mobile phone reception but free Wifi."
A very peaceful setting close to local villages. Enjoyed our holiday would return.
Thank you for your comments and kind feedback. I am sorry you had issues with your mobile phone reception as this has never been reported by anyone before but we are aware that this can depend on your network provider. We are glad you enjoyed your stay though and would be happy to visit again. Property Owner
"The accommodation was spotlessly clean, well presented and comprehensively fitted out."
We had a warm welcome from the owner together with certain supplies eg. milk, tea biscuits and flowers. We do think, however, the web site photographs need updating as the living accommodation no longer has the full length windows and the garden is rather more mature. Having said that, a very peaceful and enjoyable place to stay.
"We were lucky as we had pretty good weather throughout our holiday."
"We are surprised that the property was not as close to Wroxham as we thought."
It was about 2 miles + up a very narrow lane which meant that we had to use our car to get into Wroxham to be able to catch a bus or use our car to get around Norfolk.
"The hosts were very welcoming and the little extras provided were much appreciated."
"Brilliant week at 'End Retreat'."
just couple of miles from Wroxham which suited us brilliantly, we like walking and birdwatching, only a short distance from our favourite places, How Hill, Ludham, Strumpshaw Fen and Hickling Broad. Everything we needed for a week's break and facilities were more than adequate. Got our sandwiches etc for our days out from Roy's in Wroxham, not only reasonably priced but well prepared food. Good breakfast at Charlottes right by Wroxham Bridge and the fish and chips at Greys were excellent. Some nice country lanes to explore by where we stayed and so peaceful just to sit in the garden late evening. Will be returning in 2019.
"End retreat is a jewel in the crown of Norfolk."
lovely outlook and a great garden to sit out in with a glass of wine and a good book.
"Exceptionally clean property, perfectly placed to explore the surrounding areas."
"Great place lovely setting."
The owner was very friendly and helpful. Was able to visit many places as this was our first visit to Norfolk.
"Good surroundings ,very peaceful, ideal situation."
"Lovely place if a bit far out from Wroxham but we did like the quiet."
We did expect to get the towels changed halfway through the week! But it didn't spoil our holiday. Overall lovely place would send others to the area. Very good for getting to different places.
