"On the whole the cottage was lovely - one of the best we have stayed in."
It is well situated to do outdoor activities, such as hill walking and climbing. The only downside was the weather. Although, probablby nit-picking, the sofas in the lounge were very uncomfortable. We were surprised that there was no BBQ.
"Lovely clean cottage had everything we needed The welcome pack was welcomed on arrival."
The area was quiet pub and shop just down the road Lovely places to visit not to far to travel Llandudno,Harlec Conway ,Would recommend to friends and family
We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay at the cottage and found lots of great places to visit. Thanks! Property Owner
"Lovely property, every need is catered for including some lovely personal touches."
Immaculate inside and out and very cosy and comfortable. The property is a lovely size with a great enclosed garden if you are bringing your dog. Great walks from the doorstep and only short drives to the surrounding hills, lakes and mountains. Really could not fault anything at all, absolutely loved our stay! Thank you
Thank you for your lovely feedback. I am so glad you had a lovely time and I hope you come and stay again. Property Owner
"Lovely accommodation, ideal for family visit to Snowdonia."
Thanks for your feedback, I am glad you enjoyed it. Property Owner
"We had a lovely week at Coopers Rest (Gorffwysfa Coopers)."
There were six of us, plus our son’s girlfriend’s dachshund - ‘Cooper’! We arrived to find a welcoming and reassuringly clean house, with a large family kitchen, the table all laid out and ready to go. The rest of the house was equally clean and well presented. It has all you might need during your stay. Microwave, Washing machine, dishwasher, etc, with plenty of crockery, cups, glasses and utensils etc. We even bought our own slow cooker to do a couple of meals, only to find there was one already there. There are also the essential TV and WiFi, but also there’s a selection of board games and cards if you would prefer to leave all that behind - we had several tense Uno sessions! The location is very quiet with wonderful views, which can be especially admired from the garden. It is well positioned for access to Snowdon (about 45 minutes to Llanberis, from where we walked to the summit ), Blaenau Ffestiniog and Betws-y-Coed ( both about 15 minutes away). On the doorstep there are walks, a small store, a pub and a railway station a five minute walk away (we travelled the one hour trip to Conwy and Llandudno, about £8 each return - well recommended). Also in easy reach are the three Zip World sites. We did Velocity 2 at the Bethesda site. A bit pricey, but very enjoyable (get a discounted price if you can make a group of four). Don’t miss Dolwyddelan Castle, it’s just a 20 minute walk from the house. You can go inside and there are lovely views from the top. Slightly further afield you can go and explore Anglesey or visit Porthmadog or Aberystwyth. All in all we had a fantastic week and achieved all we had hoped to, and this lovely house was the perfect base. I’m sure we will return at some point.
Thankyou for your lovely feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed it. Property Owner

Great location for some gorgeous walks in Snowdonia and close to the zip world sites too. Would definitely love to have stayed longer than a weekend and would recommend to friends and family :)

"The owners were very helpful and the property could not be better"
"This is a lovely property, ideal for sharing time with family/ friends at Christamastime with its lovely big, well equipped family kitchen, filled with daylight (even on a rainy day)."
The lovely large twinkling Christmas tree added to the light and festive ambience. There's been plenty of room for meal preparation, plenty of fridge space and good seating around the large family table. The living room is spacious, and the wood stove added to the cosyness. The beds are comfortable with enough wardrobe space, and plenty of additional towels, teatowels in case required. Heating has been just right and easy to control. The upstairs bathroom is spacious and the shower works well, however, there was a problem with the downstairs en suite (a blockage in the washbasin drain, and the control knob for the downstairs shower being difficult to turn on and off). The GleamTeam were very helpful in calling a plumber, who solved the drain blockage on Christmas Eve, but he'll need to give further attention to the shower control when the property is vacant. Apart from that little difficulty (for which we had good support), the property was everything we could have hoped for and would be happy to book again for another family occassion. :)
"Great place to stay, We only had two problems with the property ( not counting the boiler not working on arrival due to a frozen drip pipe which was soon rectified by the owner) 1) The key safe is too low down."
I'm old'ish and have poor sight so I had to kneel down in the wet to see the keypad. 2) The patio has poor drainage So when we arrived the water that had pooled on the patio had frozen solid making the whole of the patio an ice rink and was very slippy. This was due to weather conditions but a front door key or rubber mats or something in freezing conditions should be considered. But over all a lovely property
"On the whole it was a very comfortable stay."
A few things missing. Equipment in the kitchen utensil ect minimal. Definitely blinds needed in kitchen as felt was in a goldfish bowl to neighbours over looking. Blinds in main bathroom. Limited furniture to sit on in the living room with a large number of guests..
"Such a lovely home and we had a comfortable stay."
Would highly recommend to everyone.
"Wonderful cottage in a great location."
Every comfort provided. Would definitely recommend and re visit.
"Amazing property, very clean on arrival."
Loved the information book this was very helpful we would definitely stay again.
"Gorgeous house in a beautiful setting with lovely walks on the doorstep."
My sons partner actually booked up for the same week next year while we were still on holiday!
"Lovely cottage set in the beautiful countryside of Snowdonia."
I would highly recommend for couples or families with children of toddler age upwards :) The cottage is such a short drive from many attractions and is very well kitted out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our 16 month old twins and would definitely come back once the girls are slightly older due to the house not being as baby friendly as we originally thought (rugs not hoovered so covered in dog hairs which covered the girls and their toys, fire place and wood exposed and a large step down from the living area to the kitchen, no stair gate for the stairs) so we certainly had to have eyes in the back of our head with two who have just started walking :)
"Excellent accommodation which was really comfortable Fantastic location Really ..."

Hi Alison, I am so glad you had a lovely time. Thanks for the feedback and we hope you will come back. Property Owner
"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
The Cottage was presented well and we wanted for nothing. Situated in a lovely quiet setting but in easy reach of North Wales attractions. We did the suggested 2.5 mile walk through the forest and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks
I am really glad You enjoyed your stay, thanks for the feedback . Yes we also love that forest walk with the picnic spot by the river. We hope you will visit again to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Property Owner
"We have travelled to a fair few places and this is possibly the best self catering we have stayed at."
it illicitly lots of ooos and aaaas when we first went in. beautiful property, wonderful view, gorgeous area in easy reach of touristy things. the tiling in the bathrooms/kitchen are superb. I'm sure when it's cold the fireplace will be perfect. and the kitchen is a glorious sun trap.
Thank you for your lovely feedback and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Yes the view of mountains is breathtaking and I am so glad you enjoyed the cottage. Property Owner
"This is a very tastefully renovated cottage."
Very homely, we absolutely loved it. Enjoyed the local walk up the road, with the dog. Appreciated the safe walled garden. Loved the village. Great location.
We are really glad you were Pleased with the cottage and enjoyed your stay. Yes it is a great garden for the dog to enjoy. Thanks for positive feedback Property Owner
"Absolutely lovely house, well equipped and great location for exploring North Wales."
We had a lovely week and would definitely recommend it!
"Excellent cottage/house finished to a very high spec and fully equipped with everything needed (especially the kitchen)."
Wonderful location nestled in wooded valleys and close to many Snowdon attractions and places of interest made this an excellent base
"It was lovely and the dinning area was presented so well, however I did have to do a little cleaning on the second day, I was surprised that areas had been left or not quite done to a extremely high standard considering its covid."
also the ensuite toilet smelt so bad of wee i've never been on holiday before and brought bleach to clean a loo, the smell did return after the bleach use so maybe there's more of an issue. despite those two things I would definitely come back and recommend. i'm a perfectionist but I do think holidays are precious times so they nee to be perfect.
"Lovely cottage, beautifully furnished in fabulous location"
"Fantastic accommodation all furnished to a high quality."
Definitely would recommend in a great location

Enjoying an enviable position within the rural village of Dolwyddelan, surrounded by the rolling mountains and countryside of the Snowdonia National Park is Cooper's Rest (Gorffwysfa Coopers), a spacious semi-detached property.
This exceptional self-catering accommodation has been designed with a group in mind, perfect for families, friends and avid ramblers seeking a place to call home as they explore this part of North Wales.
Enter the property and discover the entrance hallway, where you can kick off muddy walking boots before taking a right turn into the sitting room, where a woodburning stove set within an exposed brick surround takes centre stage.
Light up the fire to set a cosy ambiance before flicking on the Smart TV to browse the channels, as you curl up on the plush sofas.
From here, a step down will bring you into the light-filled kitchen, where along the whitewashed walls, inky blue painted cabinets are topped by solid wood worksurfaces and contemporary splash backs, all of which are complemented by the large windows providing views across the rooftops and towards the rolling hills.
The range of quality appliances arranged in a contemporary assortment are certain to encourage a spot of home-cooking, and the high vaulted ceilings make a striking element to this room and offer a spacious spot for you all together to enjoy each other’s company over dinner and drinks.
The master suite can be found on the ground floor, where quality linens drape over a plush king-size bed, where each morning you can wake up and enjoy the views from the patio doors before freshening up within the sleek en-suite shower room.
Venture up the stairs to find two further double bedrooms, both boasting a refreshing ambiance and good wardrobe storage, and are served by a beautiful family bathroom, featuring a light controlled mirror and a shower over bath.
During the balmy afternoons, look forward to opening up the French doors within the kitchen/diner, allowing a seamless integration of the outside in and provides access to the large lawn area, where the children can play and your canine companion can stretch their legs, whilst the rolling countryside view continues to captivate.
Meander through the rural village to discover its array of amenities, including a shop and two pubs serving food, as well as an impressive church dating to around 1500 or venture slightly out of the village to visit the 13th Century Dolwyddelan Castle, which boasts magnificent views from its battlements.
Those bringing two-wheels along can explore the network of paths within the nearby Gwydyr Forest or keen walkers can don their walking boots to explore the surrounding countryside or endeavour on a trek up Wales’ highest mountain.
More outdoor pursuits can be found at Zip World near Bethesda, where you will find Velocity, the longest zip run in Europe or pay a visit to Blaenau Ffestiniog, where you will discover Titan, the first four-person zip line.
More leisurely afternoon can be found in the form of fishing on the Afon Lledr, noted for its trout and salmon fishing opportunities or enjoying a round of golf at the 9-hole course at Betws-y-Coed.
Betws-y-Coed itself is well-worth a visit and is home to a plethora of independent shops and eateries, and is where you will find the pretty Fairy Glen, whilst the historic town of Conwy lies slightly further afield and provides access to the sublime North Wales coast.
Bring your loved ones to share a memorable holiday in Cooper's Rest.
