"When I arrived at Waterfall cottage I thought I’d died and gone to heaven."
The views are breathtaking. I was met by one of the owners Sue who was very welcoming and extremely helpful with lots of good advice. There was everything in the cottage that you could think of, including milk, butter, jam, coffee, tea etc.. The cottage is ideally situated for visiting numerous places and beautifully remote at the same time. I really cannot recommend the cottage highly enough! The 5 acre field adjacent is ideal for exercising dogs as well as all the forestry tracks for those who enjoy walking. I will definitely return with my two springer spaniels.
"Lovely people, very welcoming."
Cottage was cosy, clean and perfect to de stress in.
"Lovely cottage small but perfect for two, made very welcome by Sue and Gary."
The cottage was spotless and the welcome pack a nice gesture. Views from the property garden are wonderful and the area perfect for walking and sightseeing. The dog was very welcome and loved having the field to run in, and the treats that were left for him. Highly recommend this for a quiet holiday with easy access to North Wales and beautiful village walks. Would love to visit again soon.
"What an amazing cottage."
So cozy and homely. The location was beyond beautiful. 5 acres of land for the dogs on site. Mountains and lakes to explore with incredible views on the doorstep. Tranquility at its best. We had an amazing holiday and couldn’t recommend a stay here enough. A short drive from nearby towns for beaches, fish and chips and more exploring. Sue and Garry were so friendly and helpful. We really did have a fantastic time!
"We LOVED our stay in this picturesque hillside cottage."
It isn't large, but it had everything needed for 2 of us and our greyhound. The location, across the valley from Snowdon, is fantastic, with great walks on our doorstep, and easy access to many more beautiful locations. Sue was very friendly, kind and thoughtful. We would love to return as soon as we can.
"Well this is my fourth holiday stay in this place and I booked another one for this year so do I need to say more perfect place beautiful surroundings and very friendly and helpful owners."

"Very pleasant stay at Waterfall Cottage, the views are beautiful as you are nestled right in the hills."
Could even see the mountains silhouetted by the moon one of our evenings very unique! Lovely warm reception from Sue and Garry even provided us with some Welsh cakes bottle of wine, along with tea and coffee, thank you. A beautiful stone built cottage, also a Chalet onsite to sleep four with views directly onto Snowdon. Would definitely like to plan another trip, perfect place to stay and explore Snowdonia or climb Snowdon.
"What a beautiful place waterfall cottage is."
Everything is from your doorstep mountains, lakes, forest, wildlife. Gary and sue were fantastic, made us feel right at home and nothing was any trouble. We will definitely be back.

From the minute you drive up through the forest you know it’s going to be good and the views just get better and better.Sue meets you and what a nice welcome it’s like you’ve known her for years and nothing is to much trouble. The cottage is so warm and cosy and has all you need.Already booked for next year.
"Waterfall Cottage is a bijou cottage for two (plus dog) with bags of character."
Set in a beautiful location off the beaten track with lots of walks on the doorstep and stunning views of Snowdonia. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. The lovely hosts Sue and Gary were very keen to share their knowledge of the local area including its history and they made sure that we had everything we needed for our stay. The cottage was 2 miles from Beddgelert and it was in a perfect spot for exploring the coast, railways and castles of this part of Wales. We were very lucky with the weather but had come prepared for showers. We did experience difficulty eating out in the area due a shortage of hospitality staff, so would recommend that visitors are prepared for self catering, which is easy in the well catered kitchen. A great holiday and we plan to return.
"Lovely location plenty of places to walk not far to walk to beddgelert town."
Such a beautiful area. Would definitely like to come back hear some day again
"Owners fantastic made us very welcome."
The views were amazing.
"Since I grew up in Australia, I have nothing really to compare it with."
But I had a very wonderful Holliday stay in the cottage. We will do it again, this time armed with a bit more knowledge about Snowdonia. and I really want to know more about this area I can say we will be back. I can't really say that it reached my expectations. 'cos I really didn't know what to expect. But overall I had a ball. Beautiful part of the world I would say and I've bin around. having spent most of my youth in the Navy.
"The view from the property is worth the fee alone, a stunning vista across to Snowdon, Cnicht and many other mountains whilst being on the shadow of Moel Hebog yourself."
The location itself is perfect, just minutes from Beddgelert and the property has everything you can ask for. Finally the owners Sue and Garry are the nicest of people and couldn't do more to make your stay a happy one.
"Cottage was very comfortable and clean in a lovely part of the country with forest walks on the doorstep."
Sue and Garry were on hand if needed without being intrusive. Slight downside for us was the fact the field was at the side of the two properties which meant we couldn't relax because we couldn't see our dogs without going out with them into a lovely, enclosed field that bordered more onto the other property. Overall, a most enjoyable stay and would definitely return to the area again. A few leaflets on local attractions and a guest book would have been welcome.
"Lovely cottage with fantastic surroundings and views, very friendly and helpful owners."
We had a lovely welcome gift. I would throughly recommend this cottage brilliant for our dogs too.

"Absolutely beautiful location and the scenery far exceeded what I was expecting."
Absolutely stunning. Sue and her husband were excellent hosts and the cottage is very pretty and absolutely loved the stone walls. It’s very comfortable and cosy and we had everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely book with you again. Th location was perfect and all the attractions we wanted to see were not far from the cottage.
"This cottage is in the most beautiful setting."
It was immaculate and had everything you needed. In the perfect location for loads of different walks and the hosts were so nice and helpful. I will definitely be staying again.
"We had a lovely week's stay in the cottage."
Sue and Gary were great hosts, there when you needed them but gave you your own space and privacy. The cottage was cosy and well equipped with everything we needed. We had the best nights sleep every night! We made good use of the 3 acre field with our dog, enjoying post walk drinks and bbqs. There are some lovely walks straight out of the property, all different levels of effort, so something for everyone. We will definitely be back again. Look forward to seeing Sue, Gary and of course Guito again soon.
"We had such a lovely stay here."
Gorgeous little cottage with character. Great location with amazing views from the grounds of Snowdon. We sat out every morning for breakfast on the picnic benches for guest use and enjoyed these views. Thank you to Sue and Gary for making us so welcome. A perfect few days away after a long dark Covid winter!
"What a wonderful little cottage."
So cosy and homely with all the amenities you need. Sue and Garry were the perfect hosts and I just loved Guto the crazy dog. The views were magnificent and there were lots of interesting walks right on the doorstep. I would highly recommend this place as the perfect getaway in beautiful Snowdonia.

Hosts Sue and Garry made a great impression upon us,nothing was too much trouble for them. They left us some nice goodies on arrival which was very kind of them. The scenery was the best we have come across in all our years travelling.Beddgelert is our favourite village but the view of the Snowdonia range from the garden of the cottage will take some beating.Thank you Sue and Garry for making it such a great week. Gwilym,Christine and Freckles.
"A wonderful little haven halfway up a hillside with lovely views from the terrace."
It may be small but it has all modern amenities that a couple (and dog) could possibly want and it’s comfortable and warm. Sue and Gary are very welcoming hosts and Guito, the dog, will sit and follow you with his eyes wherever you go. We can’t recommend it highly enough for a very relaxing stay. Roger, Sue and Kim the dog.

We have constantly been very happy with the accomodation, the accuracy and quality are consistent with the accomodation listing, and our hosts have always been friendly and accomodating! We will continue to use Sykes as we know its a service we can trust.
"Great cottage in a fabulous location for walking."
"Sue & Garry, the owners, were wonderful."
The location is amazing. We've stayed in many self-catering places but this must be one of the most well-equipped kitchens we've known. Had everything you could want. Lovely little cottage.
"A beautiful secluded cottage with dramatic and breathtaking scenery."
A lovely welcome package on arrival and a very comfy bed! The dog loved it and we were made to feel welcome straight away. Would definitely return.
"We had a perfect little break in this little cottage."
It's in a perfect location for seeing what Snowdonia has to offer and there are many walks you can take right from the doorstep. Sue was a perfect host, the cottage adjoins her house, she was very friendly and accommodating and the bottle of wine and the welshcakes etc were a lovely welcome after a long drive. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place if you want a quiet break with the dog (and missus:)
"Excellent small cottage in a very, very beautiful part of Wales."

"Warm welcome by our host and a lovely welcome pack of food and drink which was happily consumed after a long car journey."
Wonderful warm and cosy cottage off the beaten track but right on the doorstep of many walks. Extremely well equipped kitchen, Minutes to the local village by car, can easily be done by foot to enjoy the wonderful forest scenery, which we did. Can’t wait for a return visit as it ticked every box for us. What a great find.
Best holiday yet. Owners so friendly and welcoming, hope to return sometime in the future.
"Welcomed by Sue our hostess and shown round the quaint cottage."
Sue had left a lovely welcome pack so didn’t need to go shopping straight away. Nothing was too much trouble for our host and hostess - lovely weeks holiday- thank you
"The accommodation on the whole was great - in particularly, the remote location was stunning."
Perfect for walking and exploring the area around Snowdon. Beddgelert is a pretty little village too. The owners of the property were friendly and helpful. One disappointment was that the WiFi was not working throughout our stay - we had specifically chosen a property with WiFi. The cottage itself was cosy and clean. Perhaps an idea would be to get a blind for the larger window as there is a lot of light that enters in the early hours of a summer morning. Similarly, the security light shines through the windows on the door. All in all, a great holiday.
"This cottage is in a fabulous location."
The views and paths are right outside the door. The owner was very friendly and left us a welcome pack of delicious eggs, butter home made jam , welsh cakes, milk, tea , coffee, wine, some gluten free biscuits for myself and fresh bread. The kitchen was very well equipped and there was everything you needed to cook anything you wished. Easy parking in the yard outside.Lovely dog walks, our two dogs loved it with jaw dropping views. We look forward to our next visit.
"Stunning location, super walks and a great base from which to tour the area from."
Such a friendly welcome from Sue and Gary and lovely and unexpected treats from Sue’s kitchen, even the dog was given a treat! The cottage is as described with soft, fluffy towels, pretty bedding and a well equipped kitchen. We intend to return!
"Very enjoyable experience and would recommend to anybody looking for a unique and cozy getaway."
Sue and Gary were great hosts!! The bed could be a bit more comfortable but I'll gladly accept that for the amazing views the cottage offered.
"Amazing location, snug and cozy holiday home, the owners Garry and Sue were warm welcoming and good people who made us feel welcome for the entirity of our stay, and made sure we had all we needed!"
We will be back 100%, and we hope to return on many occasions. David and Mand from Shropshire

About the location
Porthmadog 6 miles; Caernarfon 13 miles.
The picturesque village of Beddgelert lies in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park at the foot of Mount Snowdon. Beddgelert is a bustling village with arts and craft shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants, centred around the Afon Glaslyn river. A 20 minute stroll along the river will take you to the Aberglaslyn Pass, one of North Wales’ most famous beauty spots. The Welsh Highland Steam Railway passes through the village on its journey from Porthmadog to Caernarfon. Beddgelert is famed for its monument to the Welsh Prince Llewelyn's dog, whom the Prince killed thinking it had attacked and killed his son, only to discover afterwards it had been defending his son from a savage wolf attack. With Porthmadog, Portmeirion, Borth y Gest and the whole of the Llyn Peninsula easily reached, this is an ideal location for a Welsh holiday.
